Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This story began in 2015 in a country that is divided politically, socially, and economically. Sound familiar? So consequently, the national government is paralyze to act on anything. Suddenly the ozone depletion rates reached-a- critical level that allows a flood of ultraviolet light upon the planet causing millions of skin cancer deaths and suffering. The ultraviolet rays become so intense that it causes genetic mutations in newborn children. But what is unique about this man-made natural disaster is that it only affects people with lighter skin and people of European descent. The nature of the crisis forces people of European descent, people with lighter skin, and all the people of the world to re-examine long hailed prejudices regarding people with very dark skin. The ozone depletion crisis of death and great destruction becomes the instrument in which racism is addressed for once and for all. There is something mysterious about when humans go through death and destruction it seems to bring the very best out of humanity, more love, more caring for one another. Likewise, through the ozone crisis, a crisis that affects skin color becomes the catalysts in which racism is forever destroyed. See how the ozone depletion problem leads mankind to better racial understanding-and the brotherhood of-all mankind is boldly proclaimed in-all-his public discourses-as-a-result-of-the-crisis. It is my most fervent hope that humanity will realize that we are truly- our brother's keeper: May mankind be elevated to the highest level of consciousness without death and destruction forcing him in that direction. However, I fear that our time-as a specie, for- getting it right; is running out-IF-we continue to remain deaf to our higher ideals, that calls upon us to reflect the goodness of humanity under the best of social and environmental circumstances: then I fear intervention-by a higher power; -GOD, nature, or fate will surely confront us with some sort of catastrophe that will compel whatever goodness we have inside of-us, to come to the surface of our consciousness. We -must-not-wait for another catastrophe to force righteousness out of us. THIS- book, '' THE O zone is gone and so went racism'', tells us a story about a time when disastrous-circumstances-forces mankind to elevate his RACE CONSCIENCOUSNESS-TO THE HIGHEST LEVEL..

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A new collection of hilarious, intergenerational anecdotes full of absurd detail about everyday experiences of racism from the New York Times bestselling authors of You’ll Never Believe What Happened to Lacey, comedian Amber Ruffin and her sister Lacey. Families may not always see eye to eye; we get on each other’s nerves, have different perspectives and lives—especially when we consider how we've grown up in different generations. But for the Ruffin family and many others, there has been one constant that connects them: racism hasn’t gone anywhere. From her raucous musical numbers to turning upsetting news into laughs as the host of The Amber Ruffin Show or in her Late Night with Seth Meyers segments, Amber is no stranger to finding the funny wherever she looks. With equal parts heart and humor, she and her sister Lacey Lamar shared some of the eye-opening and outrageous experiences Lacey had faced in Nebraska in their first book. Now, the dynamic duo makes it clear—Lacey isn’t the only one in the family with ridiculous encounters to share! Amber and Lacey have many more uproarious stories, both from their own lives and the entire Ruffin family. Recounting the wildest tales of racism from their parents, their siblings, and Amber’s nieces and nephews, this intergenerational look at ludicrous (but all too believable) everyday racism as experienced across age, gender, and appearance will have you gasping with shock and laughter in turn. Validating for anyone who has first-hand experience, and revealing for anyone who doesn’t, Amber and Lacey’s next book helps us all find the absurdity in the pervasive frustrations of racism. Illuminating and packed with love and laughter, this is a must-read for just about everyone.

God’s Plan and Heart Toward Us (Genesis 8:20-21) 14. There Are Eight Seasons in Our Lives of Faith (Genesis 8:22) In the Book of Genesis, the purpose for which God created us is contained. When architects design a building or artists draw a painting, they first conceive the work that would be completed in their minds before they actually begin working on their project. Just like this, our God also had our salvation of mankind in His mind even before He created the heavens and the earth, and He made Adam and Eve with this purpose in mind. And God needed to explain to us the domain of Heaven, which is not seen by our eyes of the flesh, by drawing an analogy to the domain of the earth that we can all see and understand. Even before the foundation of the world, God wanted to save mankind perfectly by giving the gospel of the water and the Spirit to everyone's heart. So although all human beings were made out of dust, they must learn and know the gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit to benefit their own souls. If people continue to live without knowing the dominion of Heaven, they will lose not only the things of the earth, but also everything that belongs to Heaven. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Joe Perez describes his compelling life story, filled with hardships, danger, and triumph. Dedicated to future generations, his memoir includes the grit and grind of growing up in Brooklyn, New York. It also demonstrates that anything is possible if you don’t give up and that one person can make a difference. With real life adventures that readers will relate to, the autobiography is interwoven with historical accounts of what was happening in the world at the time. His story spans from Brooklyn to the Bronx, to the woods of upstate New York. It describes how Joe and his brother, Ralph, started their careers as EMS workers. Joe was the co-founder of the nationally acclaimed Bedford-Stuyvesant Volunteer Ambulance Corps, in which he and partner James Rocky Robinson faced overwhelming odds in the city’s war zone known as Do-Or-Die Bed-Stuy. Struggling against vicious drug dealers, the duo organized a rag-tag team of community residents trying to save lives. “U.S. News & World Report” calls the area the Kill Zone of the United States. The organization went from the outhouse to The White House, by saving lives today and building new tomorrows. This inspirational story shows how these two men started an organization in an abandoned building and showed thousands a way out of poverty. They took people off welfare, replacing the gold chains that gang members wore with stethoscopes. The corps transformed street people into EMS workers for the NYC Fire Department, and trained countless police officers, physician assistants, nurses, and doctors. Ambulance service response time went from 20 minutes to four minutes, setting a national standard and was named “a thousand points of light organization” by President Bush.

Book excerpt: In The AI Military Race, Denise Garcia examines the complexities entailed in creating a global framework to govern the military use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) by proposing inclusive and humane ways to forge cooperation. Three novel humanist conceptions are introduced: common good governance, transnational networked cooperation, and humanity's security. This academic volume is the first to survey the threats to peace in the shifting world order by investigating the current patterns and trends in the global use of, and investment in, militarizing AI and the development of autonomous systems. Garcia weaves in an insider participant-observer focus on the decade-long high-level diplomatic attempts to set limits in autonomy in weapons systems - known as 'killer robots' - and offers a path for the creation of an international treaty on autonomous weapons, and ways to create common good governance for the militarization of AI. This important study draws on earlier successful cooperation and international law-making in several areas including conventional arms, nuclear and chemical weapons bans, the protection of outer space and the ozone, the Arctic, Antarctica, and the oceans. It offers an appraisal of the way that previous successes in global cooperation can inform the formation of common good governance on AI that is respectful of future generations and protective of human dignity and the common good of humanity.

Book excerpt: The enchanting warmth of the midnight air was replaced with a sunny yet alarming daylight. It was at this moment that the unchallenged life of Michael Branch spun into a new and chaotic tangent. The bedroom he shared with his pregnant wife was suddenly gone. All that stood before him was an empty cabin in the woods. Without an understanding of where he was or how he arrived, Michael ran in search of somebody, anybody, who could come to his aid. He soon learned that not only was he alone, but he was also in a whole new world. Twisted within the mountains, swamps and woods were clues to this alien world with a static sun, but death seemed to loom around every corner. If trying not to slide off an icy ledge or lose his sanity weren't hard enough, the blood-lusting wolves would make death a near certainty. Leaving his wife alone to raise their child was not an option. "There has got to be more to this world." He could feel it. An underground ship, a bell tower, a healing spring—it all must mean something. As Michael worked to unravel the riddle of this world, he began to learn and accept his role within it all. For every step he took toward destiny, another step was taken by Karuh, Satan's general, to watch it all burn.
