Book excerpt: "Are they really Muslims?" Islam in China reveals the struggle for identity of the small yet vital Muslim community of China, a little studied minority on the fringes of the Islamic world now thrust into the spotlight by the opening of China to the world and the rise of independent Muslim republics on China's western borders. Both timely and important, the multifaceted essays--- collection of over twenty years of Raphael Israeli's scholarship on Chinese Muslims--offer detailed insight into the relationship between China's non-Muslim majority and an increasingly self-confident guest culture. The work uncovers a history of uneasy ethnic, philosophical, and ideological coexistence, the gradual sinification of the Chinese Muslim creed, and the increasing accommodation of Islam by a modern, westernizing China. In addition, it highlights a religious group riddled with sectarianism; factional rifts that reveal the doctrinal, social, and political diversity at the core of Chinese Islam.

Is Dhul-Qarnayn (Akhenaten) the believing man from the family of Pharaoh mentioned in the Qur’an? What was the path of Dhul-Qarnayn’s historical journey? Where is the setting sun located? Where is the sunrise located? Where is the country between the two dams located...the site of the reclamation built by Dhul-Qarnayn? Who are Gog and Magog? In this book, ""Unveiling the Secrets of Dhul-Qarnayn: Akhenaten and Gog and Magog"" by Hamdi bin Hamza Al-Suraiseri Al-Jahani, a former member of the Saudi Shura Council, the author was able to decipher the identity of Dhul-Qarnayn by building his facts on historical documents and evidence, and a careful and meticulous reading of ancient history. The author surprises readers by revealing that Dhul-Qarnayn was none other than Akhenaten, the monotheistic pharaoh of Egypt, and he also reveals the secrets of the people of Gog and Magog, their origin, time, and homeland.

Book excerpt: Any divide between revelation and rationality, religion and logic has to be irrational. If religion and rationality cannot proceed hand in hand, there has to be something deeply wrong with either of the two. Does revelation play any vital role in human affairs? Is not rationality sufficient to guide man in all the problems which confront him? Numerous questions such as these are examined with minute attention. All major issues which intrigue the modern mind are attempted to be incorporated in this fascinatingly comprehensive statute. Whatever the intellectual or educational background of the reader, this book is bound to offer him something of his interest. It examines a very diverse and wide range of subjects including the concept of revelation in different religions, history of philosophy, cosmology, extraterrestrial life, the future of life on earth, natural selection and its role in evolution. It also elaborately discusses the advent of the Messiah, or other universal reformers, awaited by different religions. Likewise, many other topical issues which have been agitating the human mind since time immemorial are also incorporated. The main emphasis is on the ability of the Quran to correctly discuss all important events of the past, present and future from the beginning of the universe to its ultimate end. Aided by strong incontrovertible logic and scientific evidence, the Quran does not shy away from presenting itself to the merciless scrutiny of rationality. It will be hard to find a reader whose queries are not satisfactorily answered. We hope that most readers will testify that this will always stand out as a book among books – perhaps the greatest literary achievement of this century.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: During the early modern period, Muslims in China began to embrace the Chinese characteristics of their heritage. Several scholar-teachers incorporated tenets from traditional Chinese education into their promotion of Islamic knowledge. As a result, some Sino-Muslims established an educational network which utilized an Islamic curriculum made up of Arabic, Persian, and Chinese works. The corpus of Chinese Islamic texts written in this system is collectively labeled the Han Kitab. Interpreting Islam in China explores the Sino-Islamic intellectual tradition through the works of some its brightest luminaries. Three prominent Sino-Muslim authors are used to illustrate transformations within this tradition, Wang Daiyu, Liu Zhi, and Ma Dexin. Kristian Petersen puts these scholars in dialogue and demonstrates the continuities and departures within this tradition. Through an analysis of their writings, he considers several questions: How malleable are religious categories and why are they variously interpreted across time? How do changing historical circumstances affect the interpretation of religious beliefs and practices? How do individuals navigate multiple sources of authority? How do practices inform belief? Overall, he shows that these authors presented an increasingly universalistic portrait of Islam through which Sino-Muslims were encouraged to participate within the global community of Muslims. The growing emphasis on performing the pilgrimage to Mecca, comprehensive knowledge of the Qur'an, and personal knowledge of Arabic stimulated communal engagement. Petersen demonstrates that the integration of Sino-Muslims within a growing global environment, where international travel and communication was increasingly possible, was accompanied by the rising self-awareness of a universally engaged Muslim community.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Quran (Kareem) is a holy book which is the message of Allah (God) revealed for the betterment of humanity. This is the message of the same Qur'an when the world or human beings were born, but it continued to be revealed to each prophet from time to time. The Prophet faithfully conveyed the message of Allah to the human beings as per the orders of Allah, but the human beings kept cutting thorns in the holy book according to their selfishness, as a result, the human beings could not get the original (messages of Allah). After that, Allah also continued to tell his messages to the incoming prophets through the angel (Jibrail), even then the changes in the book of Allah (Tauret, Jabur, Injil and other Saheefs) continued. After that, the last book Quran Sharif (which exists till the end) on the last prophet Mohammad had to be sent (descended) for the good of mankind. Because the responsibility of this holy book has been taken by Allah Ta'ala (God) Himself. Books for familiarizing Quran (Kareem) are very few and not good in Hindi, so by the grace of Allah Ta'ala, this book has been published. Took the initiative to write. By the way, this work is very delicate, so if any mistake is found in the book, please inform as soon as possible. So that the shortcoming of the book can be removed. I have shown this book to respected Maulana Mustafa Madani Nadvi Apart from this, I have also got other Maulana checked, he agrees with this article. My first book (World's main religion, opinion and sect) and second book (which is in your hand).

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Over two thousand years ago, the Chinese sage Confucius proposed that “learning, and putting persistent learning into practice, is a great joy or pleasure.” In Learning of the Way (Daoxue), Dr. John E. Young presents, from a Confucian perspective, the rationale for engaging in traditional Chinese arts and practices. Dr. Young relies on his experience as a Chinese martial arts expert and professor emeritus to share the results of his comprehensive examination of the concept of Confucian learning that explores self-cultivation, introduces the era of Neo-Confucianism, investigates the practices of jing and gewu, examines the Zhu Xi approach, applies Confucian and Neo-Confucian concepts specifically to the art and practice of wushu, and scrutinizes the traditional aspects of wushu as understood and practiced by Chinese grandmasters. Included is a description of the state of enlightenment that suggests this level of consciousness--guantong--is identical to integral consciousness and is urgently needed in today’s increasingly complex, interconnected environments. Learning of the Way (Daoxue) is a comprehensive guidebook that examines and teaches Westerners about traditional Chinese arts and practices.

This book was released on 2008-10 with total page 750 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is all about Caliphate and Islam which was destroyed in 1914 through first illegal invasion of Iraq and Caliphate was abolished on 29th October, 1923 by Ataturk, a secret Jew according to Joachim Prinz as he mentioned in his famous book, The Secret Jews (pg 122). Largest Muslims which more than total Arab Muslims live in Indonesia and Malaysia and part of Philippine where no Muslim or Arab invader invaded and the fact is Europeans and USA invaded this countries. Sufis from Iran and Arab world spread Islam in these countries. Muslims were in America before arrival of Europeans. October 21, 1492, Columbus admitted in his papers that while his ship was sailing near Gibara on the northeast coast of Cuba, he saw a Mosque on the top of a beautiful mountain. Ruins of Mosques and minarets with inscriptions of Qur'anic verses have been discovered in Cuba, Mexico, Texas, and Nevada. In 1492, Columbus had two captains of Muslim origin during his first voyage, one named Martin Alonso Pinzon the captain of the Pinta, and his brother Vicente Yanex Pinzon the captain of the Nina. They were wealthy expert ship outfitters who helped organize Columbus' expedition and repaired the flagship Santa Maria. The Pinzon family was related to Abuzayan Muhammad III, the Moroccan Sultan of the Marinid Dynasty (1196-1465).[i] There is European Union for Europeans and same Europeans or Anglo Saxons who illegally occupied 4 continents of North America, South America, Australia and Antarctica and still today they are illegally occupying those 4 continents and sending powerful Navy, Air Force, Arm Force to Bahrain, Dhahrain, Iraq, Afghanistan and Persian Gulf and many part of this world. But why Europeans or Anglo Saxons are afraid of Caliphate on the model of European Union or USA? Has ever Hitler invaded 4 continents except his own Europe? The answer is no. So all must see their own face in the mirror before blaming any race or religion or individual. It has become every day habit to blame Islam and Muslims where as no Arab or Muslim invader ever went to Indonesia or Malaysia where largest Muslim group live and Indonesia is the Largest Muslim country though so called Europeans Christians invaded both Indonesia and Malaysia. So why has it become every day habit to blame Caliphate, Muslims and Arab? Have you ever heard that Muslim version of FBI or MI5 ever questioned Europeans in India or Arab World when Muslims were sole power in earth for over a thousand years and when Muslim rulers allowed Europeans to be immigrants in land of Caliphate or India for that greatness those Europeans became spies and occupied Muslim land? So why FBI or MI5 dare to harass Muslims? Why there is such cowardly behavior and attitude of FBI, MI5 or CIA and MI6 and other Western agencies? The way present genocide is going in Iraq, Afghanistan and it already started in northern Pakistan besides the threat of genocide against Iran with same pretext of WMD in Iraq, we must be terrified. There was no limit of lies and deception in human history. There is no limit of genocide in human history too. During last European War over 70 million people, the majority of them civilians, were killed, making it the deadliest conflict in human history.[3] Muslims even did not kill 70 millions during last 1400 years.

Book excerpt: The Arabic Classroom is a multicontributor work for trainee and in-service teachers of Arabic as a foreign language. Collected here is recent scholarly work, and also critical writing from Arabic instructors, Arabists and language experts, to examine the status of the teaching and learning of Arabic in the modern classroom. The book stresses the inseparability of the parameters of contexts, texts and learners in the effective Arabic classroom and investigates their role in enhancing the experience of teaching and learning Arabic. The book also provides a regional perspective through global case studies and encourages Arabic experts to search for better models of instruction and best practices beyond the American experience.

This has been disclosed to man as far back as 3,500 BCE in the Egyptian Book of the Dead. From literal evidence, the Chinese came from the Tower of Babel, Sumeria, present IRAQ and were monotheist. From other captivating information in the Old Testatment, and the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, The Chinese are related by blood to Abraham. The Tao Te Ching confirms the closeness between the New Testament and the Tao Te Ching between their relations. And Confusius wrote the moral laws and the Chinese practise them up to this day. My journey brought me through the ancient Chinese civilisation, Jesus Christ teachings up to the coming of the Holy Koran with the seal of God’s prophets in 633 AD. Cover picture: A Chinese Urn with an image of a Chinese mosque found in the Malacca Seas after 500 years. “He has written an interesting book on his search for God and meaning in his life. The story of how he became a Muslim is fascinating.” Professor Tommy Koh, Professor of Law, National University of Singapore “Mission Accomplished. A brilliantly chronicled autobiography of a Singapore lawyer, weaned from a childhood of eye-opening brushes with religious coexistence that step by step led to his embrace of a faith which friends – and foes alike – were caught unaware by its conviction. Tracing the roots of righteousness right down from ancient texts to modern interpretations, it is a scholarly penned chronology of his life-long desire to understand why mankind exist to do the right things. Jeffrey Low, His old Soccer mate, Ex-Straits Times Sportswriter “..... how Rugby as a ruffian’s game played by gentlemen, from which sport he made the lifelong friends; and his look at philosophy and religion, which have brought him to accept the Five Pillars of Islam. Book excerpt: Years of Upheaval discusses 'Axial periods' in history; years that witnessed such fundamental reversals in history as to make the world turn upside down and inaugurate a new era. Raphael Israeli sees the post-1989 period as such a period in Islam. He explores events in the Islamic world since the end of the 1980s, and during the 1990s and their aftermath, particularly following the Iranian Islamic Revolution, the Rushdie Affair, and the death of Khumeini.Israeli posits these events signalled a new age of Islamic violence and fundamentalism. The period has seen the dissipation of state borders and the rise of transnational and trans-territorial movements, such as ISIS, that have been extraordinarily attractive to young people in the Islamic world. The hopeful Arab Spring (2010-2013) has been replaced by a threatening Islamic winter.A number of major events shook the Muslim world on both the Asian and the African continents as well as peripheral Islamic minorities in Australia, Canada, and Latin America. Among them were the Islamic Bomb and the rise of radical Islamic movements (notably Hamas and Hezbollah) and the rift between Sunnites and Shiites. These and other momentous events in the Islamic world occasioned the 'Arab Spring' and produced unrest in a wide swath of the Muslim world. Even more importantly, these were forming trends that are characterizing the decades thereafter.
