Book excerpt: Allen Kardec believed that the ability to communicate with the spirit world was hindered because man did not know how to pray. This belief inspired him to write a collection of prayers accompanied by instructions for their appropriate use. Many worldwide have found these prayers to be an essential tool for communicating with spirits on a positive level. Mr. Kardec's original work was in French. As interest in Spiritualism grew so did the acceptance of his beliefs, which lead his works to be translated into other languages. My sole purpose in authoring this work was to create a more comprehensive English version of this highly effective tool in order for it to reach a broader audience. My hope is that this work will open for many more the gateway to true spiritual understanding.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Tales of the Abnormalities are true stories I experienced over my years of exposure to paranormal and criminal activity. Included are two tales, one religious and the other of an arachnid. While the pastor is a sad story of despair, the spider is an abnormal addition to a nature center of tremendous size and speed and is extremely dangerous. Understanding these things do exist and similar events can occur, not only within Prince George's County, Maryland, but anywhere. These paranormal stories took place on historical properties with actual entities exposing themselves on a timely basis, both during the day and at night. The poltergeist story happening at the Surratt House became violent to the point of an actual assault on a female employee, forcing her to resign. All the events in this book are actual occurrences.

Book excerpt: “Prayer can be a difficult topic to write about, since trying to explain it is something like trying to pin down a butterfly. The more you seek to capture it, the more it wants to escape. In the end, what happens in prayer is incommunicable, as it happens privately, between one person and God.”—from the Introduction by James Martin, SJ Prayer is our conversation with God. It is also at the heart of Ignatian spirituality. Understanding the practice and process of prayer, its various forms and expressions, is fundamental for people of faith. In one collection, Praying with America presents and celebrates the diversity of prayer over the past century and offers readers the wisdom and inspiration of leading Catholic thinkers on the practice of prayer. Praying with America provides a curated collection of wide-ranging discussions on the subject, full of practical and inspirational wisdom, by some of the best-known Jesuit writers and other spiritual luminaries, including Thomas Keating, OCSO; Henri J. M. Nouwen; William O’Malley, SJ; Daniel J. Harrington, SJ; William A. Barry, SJ; Evelyn Waugh; and many more from America, which continues to be a leading Catholic weekly, reporting on news and the lives of the faithful around the globe for more than 100 years. James Martin, SJ, who introduces the collection, is a Jesuit priest, editor-at-large at America, and author of numerous books, including My Life with the Saints.

In every poem I express my self freely and openly without worrying about appearing vulnerable or narrow minded. My honesty is the key element in my writing. The book contains poems about love, financial struggles, hypocrisy, deceitful friends and how to make better decisions toward your happiness. There are also some pieces that are just meant to get your creative juices flowing. The author says even though Im focused on recording music and dancing, I wanted to create this book to help others experiencing certain dilemmas I mention in my writing. Also, I wanted to bring a smile to peoples faces The poems in this book deliver a very intriguing perspective on various issues that transpire today. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book relates the experience of researching, planning, and conducting a scientific study into intercessory prayer (prayer for others). The purpose of the study was to ascertain whether the impact of prayer could be measured in a formal study, based on the large number of anecdotal reports of efficacy. The study was a prospectively randomized double-blind trial that added prayer by an established Christian prayer group to conventional therapy for cancer. The unique design feature was that the primary endpoint was a change in a validated scale of spiritual well-being. The patients were informed that they were participating in a study about spiritual well-being and quality of life but remained blinded to the intervention. The initial observation from the baseline data was that spiritual well-being made a unique contribution to quality of life. The final outcome of the study was that there was a statistically significant difference in spiritual well-being favoring the prayer group. The background includes a fascinating review of the medical literature on the topic, which contains positive and negative studies that each attracts a vigorous debate about methodology, endpoints, and whether metaphysical phenomena can or should be studied using scientific methodology. The complementary and alternative medicine literature is also equivocal as to whether prayer, arguably the most common complementary medical therapy, should be included in the range of interventions grouped under that heading. In addition to reporting the background and results of the study, the book explores the reactions of a range of individuals to the trial, all of which help reflect on the nature of prayer.

DON'T SAY ANOTHER PRAYER UNTIL YOU READ THIS BIBLICAL GUIDE! - When you call on God you don't want to just throw up words towards heaven not knowing if God will answer your prayer or even hear you at all. When you pray, you want Gods attention; and have confidence that He will answer your prayer and help with your present need... The THREE LEVELS OF PRAYER is a complete guide book of all the biblical steps needed for a DYNAMIC and EFFECTUAL prayer life; by presenting a concise interpretation of Old and New Testament scriptures that reveals the 'process' by which a believer is 'drawn' into the 'presence' of God, and the 'pattern' unveiled by Jesus by which we are to pray, and make intercession through the 'progression' of our 'partnering' with 'Jesus Christ', the 'Holy Spirit' and 'God' in order to have the 'privilege' of obtaining direct access to the 'Throne of God' where one can find 'grace', 'favor' and 'intimate fellowship' with the Lord. >B.L.A.S.T.- Bible Learning and Sharing Together
