Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: God is Love... "Let Love Lead" is thought-provoking, spiritually enlightening and hopefully encouraging. While written during a time of political chaos and civil unrest, the title could have easily been no love, no justice, no peace. If the opposite of love is hate, then the absence of God can produce the same. In summary, the book embraces the all-encompassing meaning of the phrase "God is love." God Is Love will never be just another feel-good slogan despite how hearing it makes us feel good. The pages contained within demonstrate how God's love must be applied to every area of our lives, especially marriage and family, which is the foundation of our existence. God's love must be extended to our neighbor, coworker, customer, and enemy, which produces the basic concept of who God is. Mark 12:30-31 tells us to "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength, love your neighbor as yourself. There are no commandments greater than these" (NIV). When we allow God to lead, his love is manifested in everything we do, every conversation, every action, and every reaction. God's love is never based on skin color, material possessions, money, educational status, job title, physical features, fraternity or sorority, political or professional affiliation, or talent. Hate is so prevalent in the world today; only love (God) can conquer hate. A revelation of who God is and who he created humanity to be versus what it has become is crystal clear from the cover to the last chapter. Every human being is born with the capacity to both experience and extend love, but sympathy, concern, hunger for life, lusting, wanting, and needing are emotions that have always been confused with real love, which must begin with God. The ability to love like God loves comes when a spiritual relationship is established with the creator. God's love is the picture of a Shepherd's love; it commits, provides for, takes care of, communicates to listen, seeks to understand, and never ends. The Bible assures us that "God's love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things" (1 Corinthians 13:7 KJV). Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this, the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him" (1 John 4:7-9 ESV). God is love... Let Love Lead.

Book excerpt: In "Experiencing God's Love through His Creation", Robert supports the eternal truth of God's love with pictures of stunning sunrises, sunsets as well as with biblical scripture. Despite the recent passing of his grandson, Jeremy Scott Goehl, Robert has been renewed by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and now looks to the heavens to see God's love being displayed across the South Florida skies. In the book of Psalms, chapter 19 verse 1, the psalmist David declares, "the heavens declare the glory of God". In that same light, Robert has compiled some of his best photos and favorite scripture challenging us to come to Christ, receive His love and take it into the world. Robert's desire is that you'll come away with a deeper understanding of this never-ending love. Despite our circumstances, may we stop and reflect on His goodness, giving Him the glory He rightly deserves!

Book excerpt: Hurtful messages. Manipulative tactics. Shame. Guilt. Sadly, these have all been used by people of faith to exclude others from faith communities and from God's love. You may be one of them or know someone who is. We've made a mess of God's love, a love that is intended to be warm and comforting like a quilt. In Untangling the Mess: Revealing the Certainty of God's Love, Pam Northrup unties the knots that we've created by?Believing the Bible is infallible?Believing God's love is dependent on what we say or do?Holding a narrow view of God ?Overemphasizing brokenness and disobedience?Creating obstacles to God's love through theological understandings and religious practices.Once the knots are untangled, God's abundant love for you is revealed. Pam uses the untangled threads to create a quilt using different pieces of God's love:?the three-fold nature of God's love: extravagant, encompassing, and empowering? the attributes of God's love: acceptance, compassion, inclusion, and peace?the blessings of God's love: joy, strength, comfort, interconnectedness, and courageThis quilt wraps you in the gift of God's love. Like every giver of gifts, God longs for you to experience the benefits and blessings that are yours because of God's love for you.As this quilt is made, you will encounter a different way of thinking about God and God's relationship with you-regardless of your religious affiliation or lack thereof. So get ready to reframe some of those long-held views of God and be open to understanding the true nature and certainty of God's love.

Book excerpt: "God's unconditional love." Sounds nice, but is it enough? Is there more to God's love? Describing unconditional love as detached "blanket acceptance" and "benign affirmation," David Powlison challenges our common assumption about the nature of God's love. Although wonderfully accepting, divine love is also intrusive, intimate, personal, and active. Instead of simply loving us as we are, God loves us enough to change us. Powlison acknowledges four underlying truths of unconditional love, offers biblical improvements on the idea, and urges us to see God's love for what it really is--better than unconditional.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We as Christians must consider it an honor and a privilege to be a part of God's family and to have God's love. Love is essential to the nature of God. Those who have become partakers of the new nature are the people of God. They alone increasingly reflect the Holy and loving character of God and love others. The transformed hearts of Christians respond to the call of God to love one another. Christians understand that the loving of God involves the guiding rod and staff by the chief shepherd, Jesus. Only those who are truly Christ like will be held until the end, for they have true faith in him. Times of doubt may come, and the storms of life may assail them; but if we belong to Christ, we are held by him and will belong to him always. Such biblical truth should cause Christians to draw near humbly to the throne of God to know and grow in the love of God. God's love serves as a constant reminder that God is always watching, ready to help you in any way you need or even just want. God's love ranges from his fierce protection of these followers to the promise that his love will never falter no matter what. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. --John 3:16 I Douglas George can make plans, but God determines my steps. You cannot overlook your starting point, Vision. Where I am going and what shall I do. Finally plant a seed and leave the rest up to God.

Book excerpt: He First Loved Us consists of twelve lessons that reveal Gods love for us. The titled is taken from 1 John 4:19, We love because he first loved us. We first have to give love to receive a response of love, and that is exactly what God did by sacrificing his son, Christ Jesus, for our sins. When we open our hearts to receive Christ as our Savior, his love will change us forever. His love brings us peace, joy, helps us in all our relationships, and brings us eternal life. Satans goal is to keep everyone away from God, and he does this by filling our minds with lies about God and lies about the Christian life. He puts fear in our hearts so we tend to hide from the Lord just as Adam and Eve did after disobeying God, Genesis 3:9-10). This book was written to reveal the truth about God and his perfect love for us. As you read and study each lesson, open your mind for understanding and your heart for the truth. The Bible says this about Satan, When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies, (John 8:44). And the Bible says, Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free, (John 8:32). Let Gods love set you free from fear, anxiety, worry, and all those negative emotions, for the word says, Perfect love cast out fear, (1 John 4:18). Christ said The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full, (John 10:10). Fill your heart with Gods love and live life to the full.

Book excerpt: A compassionate, shame-free guide for your darkest days “A one-of-a-kind book . . . to read for yourself or give to a struggling friend or loved one without the fear that depression and suicidal thoughts will be minimized, medicalized or over-spiritualized.”—Kay Warren, cofounder of Saddleback Church What happens when loving Jesus doesn’t cure you of depression, anxiety, or suicidal thoughts? You might be crushed by shame over your mental illness, only to be told by well-meaning Christians to “choose joy” and “pray more.” So you beg God to take away the pain, but nothing eases the ache inside. As darkness lingers and color drains from your world, you’re left wondering if God has abandoned you. You just want a way out. But there’s hope. In I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die, Sarah J. Robinson offers a healthy, practical, and shame-free guide for Christians struggling with mental illness. With unflinching honesty, Sarah shares her story of battling depression and fighting to stay alive despite toxic theology that made her afraid to seek help outside the church. Pairing her own story with scriptural insights, mental health research, and simple practices, Sarah helps you reconnect with the God who is present in our deepest anguish and discover that you are worth everything it takes to get better. Beautifully written and full of hard-won wisdom, I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die offers a path toward a rich, hope-filled life in Christ, even when healing doesn’t look like what you expect.
