Book Synopsis The Muffin Dragon by : Stephen Cosgrove
Download or read book The Muffin Dragon written by Stephen Cosgrove and published by Heritage Builders. This book was released on 2013-10 with total page 32 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In a far corner of the Island of Serendipity stood the poorest of poor castles. Everything was poor including the villagers who lived inside. No matter how poor, the villagers took the greatest of pride in the baking and selling of muffins Every morning, villagers loaded them onto their only wagon and went from village to village selling all the muffins. One day there appeared at the castle a great and monstrous dragon—a muffin-munching dragon. With crumbs still on his face from the muffins he'd eaten at the last castle he'd visited, the dragon came waddling down the hill, right up to the drawbridge. From the smell of things, this was a perfect place for a muffin-munching dragon to live. From that day forward, he ate all of the muffins. With no muffins to sell, the castle folk had no money to buy supplies to bake more muffins. All would have ended here had they not all learned to work together. A delightful tale about simple economics.

Book Synopsis The Portion Teller Plan by : Lisa R. Young, Ph.D.
Download or read book The Portion Teller Plan written by Lisa R. Young, Ph.D. and published by Harmony. This book was released on 2006-12-26 with total page 332 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Portion Teller Plan is a sensible eating guide and the end of diet deprivation. No forbidden foods, no calorie counting. Welcome to diet liberation. Would you ever consider going to the kitchen in the morning and grabbing five slices of bread for breakfast? No? Just one bagel is more like it, right? Well, your morning bagel is equivalent to eating five slices of bread. Your steak at dinner is equal to the protein in eighteen eggs. And that huge bowl of pasta you had at lunch is anybody’s guess. Nobody likes to cut back but the cold hard facts are in: Portion sizes have steadily increased over the past thirty years and our collective waistlines are ballooning right along with them. You may need to eat a little less if you want to lose weight, but with The Portion Teller Plan you can eat all of your favorite foods. Nutrition and portion size expert Dr. Lisa Young presents an individualized guide to eating according to your portion personality and food preferences. You’ll learn a simple system of visuals–a deck of cards, a baseball, your own hand–to help gauge portion size. You’ll be able to eat out, eat in, cheat, and eat on the road without ever being a portion victim again.

Download or read book Greedy Girl's Diet written by Nadia Sawalha and published by Kyle Books. This book was released on 2018-08-23 with total page 363 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Nadia Sawalha has always loved cooking, but until recently rarely ate her own food. Like a lot of women, whilst her family tucked in to delicious dishes, she nibbled on diet food. Later, ravenously hungry, she binged, somehow convincing herself that the calories didn't count if nobody saw her eating them. Two years ago, after decades of fluctuating weight, she decided enough was enough: * She wasn't going to start a new diet tomorrow. * She wasn't going to start a new diet ever again. * She was going to eat normal meals with her family and, most importantly, she was going to do so for the rest of her life. Since then, Nadia has lost and kept off 31/2 stone, by simply throwing away the diet books. Instead she shaved off the hidden calories, all without anyone noticing. A little less oil here, a different cut of meat there; brown rice instead of white, more herbs, spices and colour; and a dessert every day! The result is The Greedy Girl's Diet, which is packed with more than 100 delicious recipes, and Nadia's invaluable tips and advice on how to achieve a slim, fit and healthy body.
