Book excerpt: Objective: To report the case of a patient with diagnosis of depression and anxiety disorder who was submitted to thematrix support and to express the importance of the interdisciplinary work by the teams of Family Health Strategy and specialized attention with focus on selffulness,longitudinallyand in bond forming. Introduction: Mental disorders such as depression and anxiety represent the most common form of emotional distress in primary health care (APS). National studies indicate that about 50% of the users cared by APS teams present this type of suffering. On the other hand, 20 to 30% presented spontaneous remission of symptoms and improvement when supported by health teams, individually or in a group. The Brazilian Psychiatric Reform instigated thoughts on new mental health care practices with somewhat focus on the singularity of the subject, one of the strategies beingmatrix support which is a form of work organization based on interdisciplinary actions. Materials and methods: the informations were obtained by reviewing the medical records, interviewing the patients and reviewing the literature. Results: After a matrix-based group consult composed by nurses, doctors and psychologists, medication treatment and motivational therapy were chosen as mind caring techniques. Significant clinical improvement was observed after two months of treatment. Conclusion: A therapeutic project collectivelyorganized, allows the team to build common strategies, favoring shared care, once the larger the sources of information the greater the possibility of obtaining a more comprehensive view of the patients.
