Book Synopsis Frothing in Flotation II by : E.T. Woodburn
Download or read book Frothing in Flotation II written by E.T. Woodburn and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2018-12-19 with total page 386 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Dr. J. S. Laskowski has written several papers on frother-collector interactions and the effect of such interactions on flotation kinetics, and on frothers chemistry and frothing. He is founder and Editor-in-Chief of the journal, Coal Preparation. Dr. E. T. Woodburn has published numerous papers on flotation froth and flotation kinetics. Frothing in Flotation, published in honor of Jan Leja, appeared in 1989. Many important contributions on various aspects of flotation froth properties and behavior and the relationship between froth appearance and flotation performance have appeared since, and this volume intends to summarize these achievements. Flotation kinetics involves a number of mass transfer processes with some of them being critically determined by the behavior of froth. Since froth is complex, and controlled experimentation is difficult, the froth phase was, until recently, either ignored or treated entirely empirically. With wide applications of flotation columns, the behavior of the froth is now often recognized as being dominant in determining flotation performance, and the research in this area is one of the most actively pursued.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The challenges facing the coal preparation industry have never been more complex or daunting: China, India, and South Africa are experiencing unprecedented growth in the use of coal. India is expected to be the world's largest importer of coal through 2030. New environmental regulations in the United States and elsewhere are forcing operators to be even more innovative and resourceful. How will the burgeoning demand affect global pricing? How can coal preparation companies employ more effective cleaning processes and technologies to reduce the environmental footprint of their mining facilities and waste storage areas? You'll find answers to these and hundreds of other critical questions in International Coal Preparation Congress: 2010 Conference Proceedings. This 992-page book is a compilation of 118 state-of-the-art technical papers presented at the industry's most prestigious gathering. A CD containing the full text is included. Read what coal preparation experts from 20 countries have to share on a variety of current issues.
Book Synopsis Sustainable Management of Coal Preparation by : Dilip Kumar
