Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There are glaring examples of error being taught and preached by the vast majority of Christendom; such as the belief that people go to heaven when they die, and that a place of torment is waiting for those who choose not to believe the Christian message. Among much more error being preached, there is also the wide spread belief that the Sabbath day has been changed for Christians from the Saturday to the Sunday. The mark of the beast is not a figment of the imagination but a real danger that will face all of those who refuse to heed the last call of God to worship Him in truth. It is widely believed that at the relevant time it will be an easy thing to refuse to have the mark of the beast. However, the mark of the beast is not a visible sign to accept or reject but a subtle intrusion upon the mind by Satan the arch deceiver. This book contains answers to some important questions. However, these answers will have no meaning to those who refuse to become spiritually aware of the questions.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Christians view the mark of the beast as something futuristic. The receiving of the mark of the beast commands the wrath and indignation of God; and the consequences are severe. Many Christians has already accepted the mark of the beast; unbeknownst to them. They do not have a clear vision as to whom or what is the beast. Each denomination has their interpretation of the beast and how and when it will manifest. The word says, And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb. Revelation 14: 9, 10. Many Christian denominations believe the prophecy points to the papacy as the beast. However, in scripture, the Papal system has never been a beast, is not a beast and will never be a beast. To call that system the beast is to take the word of God on a very long stretch. This horn functions both politically and as a Christian Church. It persecuted and killed any Christian who disagrees with its dogmas. The word says the Saints shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time and he would come to his end unto the end. Nowhere in scripture is it indicated that this horn power will regain its dominion to persecute the saints of God as it did for over twelve hundred years. Then who is the beast? This book has the answer. Reviewed by Online Book Club: Official Review: The Mark of the Beast Revelation 13

Book Synopsis Mark of the Beast by : Alfredo Bonadeo
Download or read book Mark of the Beast written by Alfredo Bonadeo and published by University Press of Kentucky. This book was released on 2021-10-21 with total page 175 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The First World War is a watershed in the intellectual and spiritual history of the modern world. On the one hand, it brought an end to a sense of optimism and decency bred by the prosperity of nineteenth-century Europe. On the other, it brought forth a sense of futility and alienation that has since pervaded European thought. That cataclysmic experience is richly reflected in the work of writers and artists from both sides of the conflict, and this study provides a detailed analysis of two basic themes—death and degradation—that mark the literature about the war. From their accounts most men entered the war lightheartedly, filled with ideals of patriotism and glory, but these generous feelings were soon quelled as the war settled into a stalemate, its operations reduced to simply grinding away the opposing forces. In these operations, Alfredo Bonadeo shows, men became mere aggregations thrown against one another, wasted with no appreciable effects or gains, save carnage itself. This cheapening and disregard for human life and being Bonadeo finds rooted not only in the conditions of war but, significantly, in a contempt for the common man prevailing in European political and intellectual circles. This attitude is revealed most plainly in his analysis of the Italian literature, which hitherto has received little note. Italian leaders saw the war as an opportunity to expiate a sense of national guilt, and here the inconclusive campaigns made their futility all the greater. Out of the torn fields of the First World War grew the seeds of a second, greater conflict, but, Professor Bonadeo concludes, the flowering of the seeds was aided by the degradation of man's spirit on those fields. The grim focus of this book, the dead voices it evokes, leads to a new appreciation of the meaning of the Great War.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since the Apostle John penned his apocalyptic work in the first century, readers have speculated, debated, and pondered the meaning of the mark of the beast. In popular culture, the number has come to personify evil. Careful reading of John's work reveals that the mark of the beast is a number assigned to people, not a symbol intended to conceal the identity of someone in partiucular. In this short book, the reader will be led to an astonishingly obvious conclusion. The mark is a three-digit number assigned to people by something not human to facilitate commercial transactions. Most likely, the reader has been marked with such a number already, as have 75 percent of adult Americans and a growing number of others around the world. The important issue is what we can do about it now. It is hoped that this book can help the reader find the way out of Babylon.

Download or read book Just Do Something written by Kevin L. DeYoung and published by Moody Publishers. This book was released on 2009-04-01 with total page 129 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Hyper-spiritual approaches to finding God's will don't work. It's time to try something new: Give up. Pastor and author Kevin DeYoung counsels Christians to settle down, make choices, and do the hard work of seeing those choices through. Too often, he writes, God's people tinker around with churches, jobs, and relationships, worrying that they haven't found God's perfect will for their lives. Or-even worse-they do absolutely nothing, stuck in a frustrated state of paralyzed indecision, waiting...waiting...waiting for clear, direct, unmistakable direction. But God doesn't need to tell us what to do at each fork in the road. He's already revealed his plan for our lives: to love him with our whole hearts, to obey His Word, and after that, to do what we like. No need for hocus-pocus. No reason to be directionally challenged. Just do something.

Book Synopsis The Just and Loving Gaze of God with Us, Second Edition by : Henry Walter Spaulding III
Download or read book The Just and Loving Gaze of God with Us, Second Edition written by Henry Walter Spaulding III and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2024-08-01 with total page 339 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In recent years, Paul has become the subject of renewed interest among political philosophers. These philosophers deploy Paul as a means to deconstruct late modern political issues such as liberalism, biopolitics, and sovereignty. However, these philosophers ultimately truncate Paul's message to fit nontheistic, materialist ends. Such an approach polarizes interpreters, often leading either to a full endorsement or full rejection. In this work, Spaulding adds a needed voice in this conversation. By neither fully endorsing or fully rejecting the new approach to Paul, Spaulding argues that Paul's message is both materialist and faithful to the Christian tradition. Spaulding critically utilizes both the new approach and recent studies in apocalyptic interpretations of Paul in order to articulate a Pauline political theology for our time. Pauline apocalyptic emphasizes the already disruptive nature of the incarnation, crucifixion, and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth that wrests humanity from under the sovereignty of the fallen powers and places them under the Lordship of Christ. Apocalyptic is nourished by the promise of the eschatological hope of the not-yet-finished work of Christ. The church that follows the Lordship of Christ is called forth into being in the tension of the present Lordship of Christ and the not-yet transformation of the cosmos. Such a tension begets practices that form the political commitment of what philosopher Iris Murdoch calls the just and loving gaze, namely the central conviction that, in order to live good (political) lives, one must be taught to see.
Book Synopsis The Day of the Lord, Second Edition by : Louis Diedricks
Download or read book The Day of the Lord, Second Edition written by Louis Diedricks and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2013-08 with total page 125 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Day of the Lord, Second Edition once again investigates the Bible's apocalyptic texts and reveals flaws in current interpretations, helping readers to clarify the ties between the Bible's prophecies of the end of days and events unfolding in contemporary culture. Author Louis Diedricks harvests the fruits of years of biblical study and of his reflections on current events in explaining the day of the Lord. After providing a forewarning of intense imagery and descriptions in the Bible's apocalyptic texts, The Day of the Lord devotes most of its chapters to intensively examining the Bible's Revelation. Several chapters also focus on end-time portions of the Old Testament's Daniel. In the end, The Day of the Lord affords readers with the insights needed to make choices about whether they wish to believe in God's Word and live a prudent and just life, or whether they wish to not believe in God's word, so that they may live for their flesh, resulting in immoral and unjust works. If you have harbored curiosity-and perhaps even fear-about what the Bible really says about the end of days, or if you have wondered about the meaning of the events unfolding in the world today, then The Day of the Lord can guide you to making sense of the present day in light of the Scriptures' witness to God's plans.

Download or read book Zwingli written by F. Bruce Gordon and published by Yale University Press. This book was released on 2021-11-30 with total page 385 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A major new biography of Huldrych Zwingli—the warrior preacher who shaped the early Reformation Huldrych Zwingli (1484–1531) was the most significant early reformer after Martin Luther. As the architect of the Reformation in Switzerland, he created the Reformed tradition later inherited by John Calvin. His movement ultimately became a global religion. A visionary of a new society, Zwingli was also a divisive and fiercely radical figure. Bruce Gordon presents a fresh interpretation of the early Reformation and the key role played by Zwingli. A charismatic preacher and politician, Zwingli transformed church and society in Zurich and inspired supporters throughout Europe. Yet, Gordon shows, he was seen as an agitator and heretic by many and his bellicose, unyielding efforts to realize his vision would prove his undoing. Unable to control the movement he had launched, Zwingli died on the battlefield fighting his Catholic opponents.
