Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: IN THIS BOOK YOU WILL FIND THE ANSWER TO THESE QUESTIONS. "Will the church have to endure the time of great tribulation?" "Should we make preparations or rely upon God to take care of us? This book does not contain any secret or heretofore unrevealed truths and there are no special revelations given only to the author. I simply look at the plainly spoken and universally acknowledged teachings of Jesus and His disciples and I look at the timeless principles of God shown to us throughout the Old and New Testaments. That's why I've called this book the "Layman's Guide." You don't have to be a Bible scholar to understand anything in this book, and you can follow along in whatever version of the Bible you prefer. FOUR DISTINCT VIEWS ON THE RAPTURE Pre-tribulation says that the church will be removed from the earth before the tribulation - seven years before the return of Christ. Mid-tribulation says the church will be removed halfway through the tribulation 3 1/2 years before the return of Christ. Pre-wrath differentiates itself by redefining the term "great tribulation" but is really about the same as mid-tribulation without specifying the time. Post-tribulation says the rapture of the church takes place after the great tribulation at the coming of Christ to establish His millennial kingdom. Of these four versions the first three are very similar in that they all say the church will be removed from the earth at some point either before or during the great tribulation. Only the post tribulation view says that the church will remain on earth until the end of the great tribulation. So for all intents and purposes what you really have is two views: pre-tribulation (with variations) and post tribulation. That is how I have addressed them in this book."

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Imagine that millions of people have just vanished from the earth. Where did they go? Why did they go? Harpazo: A Layman's Guide to the Rapture explores these questions from a scriptural point of view. Using plain English and the King James Version scriptural references, the case is made that the rapture is a real event that we should be expecting at any moment. It encourages the reader to search out the scriptures for themselves and to pray that the Holy Spirit will reveal this mystery that Paul spoke of. It is not written from a theologian's perspective but from a lover of Christ who felt the need to share these things with others as they were learned and revealed through his personal journey. This book can be used as an evangelical tool and a Bible-study tool or just to add to one's personal journey with our Lord Jesus. See how the rapture models the first-century Jewish wedding traditions and how the Church is the bride of Christ. How easy the book of "the Revelation of Jesus Christ" is to understand when you become familiar with the outline within the Scripture, understanding the church age and where we fit in on that timeline.

These fears—fueled by natural disasters, famines, world wars, and the writings of people like Nostradamus and Jeane Dixon—have left us with more questions than answers. In The Complete Idiot’s Guide® to the Last Days, Richard H. Perry goes to the definitive source on the subject: the Bible itself. • While the book is as exciting as an action/adventure novel, the author’s primary source is the Bible, and he guides his readers to an understanding of the Last Days by using related Scripture. • Covers Bible basics and the Signs of the Times. • Includes timelines of every stage leading up to the Last Days and after.

America is struggling economically and no one has any answers. Unemployment has been over 9% for over two years now. It feels like the government is trying to take control of our lives. There is speculation that Greece might collapse economically, and, if they do, other European countries will follow suit. The Middle East is in total chaos and very unstable, with all these people rioting in the streets and wreaking havoc on their respective countries, along with dictators falling and rising from power. Iran is still telling everyone they are intent on annihilating Israel as they improve their nuclear capabilities. As Christians, our hope is in Jesus Christ; we know that our God is sovereign, so all the chaos in the world has no effect on how God brings the world to an end. But the end is in sight, and people are looking for something certain in this world. There are so many questions Christians have regarding End Times Prophecy and do not understand, simply because the church has not fulfilled its purpose in rightly dividing the Word of truth for the saints. The Complete Layman's Guide to End Times Prophecy will bring together all the questions one might have regarding the end of the world and the return of the Warrior King Jesus Christ to this earth to set up His millennial kingdom. This book is clear, concise, and cogent in its message and attempts to address all End Times Prophecy questions. When will the Tribulation occur, and who will face it? There is a lot of discussion among Christians about the rapture and the last days. Why all the different views? And how do those perspectives line up with Scripture? Tim LaHaye and Thomas Ice have assembled a team of longtime Bible prophecy experts who look carefully to God's Word for the answers. In this book, readers will discover what they can know for certain. And as they consider the things that still remain uncertain, they will gain a renewed trust that God knows what He is doing. Christians know that the signs are everywhere that point to The Rapture as being imminent. From the rebirth of Israel to the ability to communicate worldwide in a matter of seconds, all of the prophecies have been fulfilled except one: Jesus' promised return to take His Bride (the Church) home before the start of the Seven Years Tribulation. In this book, author Jeffrey Harbin lays out in explicit detail how all the pieces are in place, and proves that the Rapture could occur literally at any minute. In what started out as just a letter written for several of his non-believing friends, Harbin not only demonstrates that the Rapture is pending, but also goes into painful detail explaining what non-believers will suffer through during the Seven Years Tribulation. There are 21 separate Judgments which God will inflict upon the earth in a last-ditch attempt to get man's attention. Anyone who misses out on the Rapture due to their lack of belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior now has a guidebook that tells them exactly what to expect during the seven years that follow the Rapture. But all is not lost for those who miss the Rapture. Relying only upon Scripture, this book lays out a simple plan of salvation that everyone can follow to guarantee an eternity in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ.

We will hear a blast from God’s trumpet. ... We will be taken up in the clouds. We will meet the Lord in the air. And we will be with him forever. (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17, NIrV) Many are waiting for the return of Jesus Christ. But what if it’s already happened? Rapture is the biblical prophecy of Christ’s promise to physically return to the earth and gather his followers to meet him in the sky and be granted eternal life in heaven. In A Beginner’s Guide to the Rapture: The History of Christ’s Return, Greg Legge presents a thorough study of historical evidence to argue that Christ fulfilled this promise nearly two thousand years ago. Legge makes a compelling argument that the rapture has come and gone by pairing history with relevant biblical scripture. From analyzing the works of 19th century Adventists to detailing the lives of the 1st century leaders of the Roman Empire, Legge proves that what society has come to assume about the Second Coming may be completely wrong.

Book excerpt: The idea of "The Rapture" -- the return of Christ to rescue and deliver Christians off the earth -- is an extremely popular interpretation of the Bible's Book of Revelation and a jumping-off point for the best-selling "Left Behind" series of books. This interpretation, based on a psychology of fear and destruction, guides the daily acts of thousands if not millions of people worldwide. In The Rapture Exposed, Barbara Rossing argues that this script for the world's future is nothing more than a disingenuous distortion of the Bible. The truth, Rossing argues, is that Revelation offers a vision of God's healing love for the world. The Rapture Exposed reclaims Christianity from fundamentalists' destructive reading of the biblical story and back into God's beloved community.

Because many people in John’s time could not read or write, a scribe, priest, or someone else who could read would read scriptures out loud for the benefit of others. Following the lead of the Holy Spirit, Wierschke analyzes the scriptures verse by verse, presenting in-depth and thorough insight into this often-misunderstood book. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The rapture--or the belief that Jesus' living followers will, at some point, join him forever while others do not--is an important but contested doctrine among evangelicals. Scholars generally hold one of three perspectives on the timing and circumstances of the rapture, all of which are presented in this important volume of the Counterpoints series, Three Views on the Rapture: Alan D. Hultberg (PhD, Trinity International University and professor of New Testament at Talbot School of Theology) explains the Pre-Wrath view. Craig Blaising (PhD, Dallas Theological Seminary and president of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary) defends the Pre-Tribulation view. Douglas Moo (PhD, University of St. Andrews and professor of New Testament at Wheaton College) sets forth the Post-Tribulation view. Each author provides a substantive explanation of his position, which is critiqued by the other two authors. A thorough introduction gives a historical overview of the doctrine of the rapture and its effects on the church. The interactive and fair-minded format of the Counterpoints series allows readers to consider the strengths and weaknesses of each view and draw informed, personal conclusions.

This book was released on 2022-01-12 with total page 172 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Christian doctrine teaches that one day in the unforeseen future, Jesus Christ is going to appear in the clouds above the earth; and with a shout, he is going to rapture (catch up) all Christians! Then in a moment, they are going to rise and join Jesus in the air, and then be taken to heaven, where they will forever be with the Lord. This English word rapture is a translation of the Latin word Rapiemur, which also is a substitute for the Greek word harpazo, which means "to be caught up" which is taken from Paul's letter to the Thessalonians, referring to the fact that Jesus is going to 'catch up' all Christians living and dead! It is also possible that the use of the term Rapture in describing this event, was used, because in the English language, Rapture means an intense feeling of pleasure or joy! This Rapture theory was first championed in the early 1800s by a Protestant clergyman by the name of John Darby, who was recovering from an illness. And while studying his Bible, came upon the realization that Jesus was going to first come for his saints, take them to heaven, and then, sometime later, Jesus was going to return to earth, defeat Satan, and then the end of the world was going to come about! It is this theory that has been taught to Christian church goers throughout the ensuing years. And with this rapture, there is a secondary teaching that when Jesus comes for his people, there will be many airplanes, trains, and automobiles that will be driver/pilot-less and will go crashing to the ground, killing untold millions all over the globe. It is with this information in mind that we explore the truth of this Rapture theory and if what John Darby taught is true or not. We will look at all the relevant scriptures pertaining to this theory, which then brings us to look at God's seven annual holy days. Why, because these days reflect the plan of God for the redemption of all mankind and points us toward this day of rapture! Therefore, the object of this book is not to titillate you about Jesus' secret coming as others have done, nor to scare you if you were to be left behind! No, the purpose of this book is to teach you the truth of what really happens when this day finally arrives! In addition, it is important to understand what exactly is salvation, and this rapture theory definitely pertains to your salvation! Therefore, you deserve to know the truth because everything else takes you away from God, and it is the truth that will set you free! --Peter
