Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Complex Situations in Coaching is a collection of 20 typical yet underdiscussed issues in coaching, ranging from value conflicts, multiple agendas, power dynamics, and emotion management, to the role of money, etc. Organized into ten chapters, they are positioned into the literature and commented on by world-class coaches, coaching researchers, educators, and program directors. This plurality of voices is designed to foster dialogue, questions, and solutions; this setting, supportive of reflexivity, critical thinking, and diversity awareness, is essential to the development and education of coaches in an increasingly complex world where ready-made solutions prove limited. Thus, beyond a 'toolkit approach', this book engages in a thought-provoking and multi-perspective journey in support of the professionalization and continuous education of coaches, instructors, and/or supervisors.

This book was released on 2023-12-31 with total page 714 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book provides a detailed evaluation of the hydro-ecological characteristics of the Western Balkans, an area characterized by still preserved inland waters and fish resources important for the European continent, as well as the biodiversity of inland waters important for the planet Earth. Freshwater ecosystems cover only 1% of the Earth's surface; however, they are a habitat for about 40% of fish species. At the same time, inland fisheries make less than 12% of the world's global fish catch, with 43% coming from low-income and food-deficient countries (Africa, South America, Southeast Asia). In Europe, the Western Balkans have significant fishing waters and fish resources, including the Middle Danube drainage (Sava, Drina, Velika Morava river systems), large ancient lakes (Skadar/Shkodra, Ohrid, Prespa, Dojran), and the Adriatic basin characterized by endemic and commercially important species. However, in contrast to the high fishing potential in a significant part of the Western Balkans, diverse and specific political, economic, and social factors largely had a negative impact on the state of fish resources. This volume is multidisciplinary and provides a sound knowledge base for scientific and practical fisheries. In addition, it may be a valuable guide for managers and conservationists worldwide to adapt methods and procedures for the ecological sustainability of fish resources under specific local, natural, and socio-economic conditions. Finally, the content is a good reference for natural sciences and agriculture students studying fish, fish resources, and fisheries sciences. It would improve their knowledge and perspectives on the challenges of sustainable use and conservation of inland water resources.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: On the "Rio Don-Giovanni-Day", 20 September 2021, a concert is dedicated to the works of Sigismund Neukomm composed in and for Brazil. The programme also includes a composition by the Brazilian composer José Maurício Nunes Garcia (Rio 1767–1858), highly esteemed by Neukomm and occasionally described as "the Brazilian Mozart". He conducted the first performance of Mozart's Requiem with Neukomm's "Libera me" in the Igreja Nossa Senhora do Parto on 19 December 1819. The concert is a cooperation of Don Juan Archiv Wien with partners in Austria, Portugal, and Brazil: the Mozarteum University Salzburg, Divino Sospiro – Centro de Estudos Musicais Setecentistas de Portugal, and Musica Brasilis. Accordingly, the music will be performed in four locations: Vienna, Salzburg, Queluz/Lisbon, and Rio de Janeiro. While the partnering institutions' concerts with commentaries are recorded especially for this occasion, the performances in Vienna will be broadcast live.
