Moses then married Elizabeth Slabaugh (1852- 1926) and they became the parents of six children. Moses and his family moved to Kansas in about 1881 and eventually settled in Oklahoma. Descendants live in Oklahoma, Kansas and other parts of the United States.

Descendants were members of the Amish religion and lived primarily in Pennsylvania, Ohio and elsewhere.
