Book Synopsis Confessions of a Golfaholic by : Paul Laubach
Download or read book Confessions of a Golfaholic written by Paul Laubach and published by Elevate Publishing. This book was released on 2015-06-09 with total page 428 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In June 2010, Paul Laubach made the unfortunate decision to play all of the top 100 golf courses available to the public, according to Golf Magazine. Spread over 45 months, he managed to complete his goal despite numerous weather, course maintenance and other logistical issues...not to mention his own “senior moment.” The journey covered 87,814 air miles and another 17,051 by automobile. During the trek he suffered two frozen shoulders, a bad lower back, golfer's elbow (left), tennis elbow (right), three major sunburns, hundreds of mosquito bites, poison oak, plus numerous cuts and bruises chasing errant shots into the woods, desert and other prickly flora. None of this was as painful as the cost associated with losing 117 Pro V1s. A confirmed golf addict and cheapskate, he is now chronicling his adventures for his heirs (who will probably get nothing else, as he wasted the estate on this boondoggle).

Book Synopsis A Jar of Pebbles by : Krishna Mohan Tata
Download or read book A Jar of Pebbles written by Krishna Mohan Tata and published by KETAKI FOUNDATION TRUST. This book was released on 2021-02-22 with total page 112 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A Jar of Pebbles celebrates the ordinary, the absurd, and the exceptional. In these days and times, when pandemic-induced lockdowns have forced social distancing, this collection talks of the warmth and learning of human connections. Memories of growing up in a small town in the 80s and 90s predating the social media, and lessons from parents who never used a manual then, are tenderly captured for posterity. Simple snippets of human effort, and kindness are narrated with empathy and humour. The anecdotes speak to the generation that did not have the Internet as well as to the generation that cannot live without it. The language is simple, straight from the heart, and not a claim to the grandiose. It is a soulful read in this busy world we live in today to inspire hope, share a laugh, and possibly pass on a bit of learning.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Reese Hudson meant to destroy mementos from her last failed relationship, not burn down an outhouse and incur the wrath of a sexy park ranger. When the judge rejects her offer to pay for the structure and sentences her to rebuild it—with the hot ranger supervising—she embraces the challenge to take control of her life. Park ranger Wade Baker wants nothing to do with the rich city girl, no matter how tempting he finds her lush curves. She’s too much like his ex-fiancée, and if he’s learned anything, it’s that women like Reese don’t fit into his world. And he sure as hell wants no part of her big city life. Reese may not know a hammer from a screwdriver, but she’s working hard to prove she’s not just some pampered princess to be toyed with. And damn it if Wade doesn’t admire her tenacious spirit. If only they got along half as well outside the bedroom as they do in it, there might be a chance for them after all... Each book in the Cotton Creek Romance series is a standalone, full-length story that can be enjoyed out of order. Series Order: Book #1 Romancing the Ranger Book #2 Hooked on Love Book #3 Catching the Cowgirl
