Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Holy Spirit Journal is about taking the time to mentally acknowledge and allow the Holy Spirit to lead the documentation of what God is doing and has done (always praying before anything is written and preserved). Being habitually focused on understanding who God is, what He is saying, and who we are in our God-given identity. You are covered in God's grace and peace! Chosen, destined, and adopted! Redeemed, forgiven, and free from sin! Rich with an inheritance of fruitfulness, abundance, and eternalness! Equipped with boundless power, strength, and capabilities in Jesus! You are covered in the wisdom of the Holy Spirit that lives within you! The beauty in our identity should be the foundation leading how we pray, speak to ourselves, hear God's voice, live out God's eternal purpose for our lives, disciple with others, and journal for preservation. Remembering who God is and who we are as believers, strengthens our relationship with God which results in an understanding that aligns our identity and God's will for us with actionable living. Preserving God's activity through the Holy Spirit's guidance will help us remember the things God has done and seek the gift of His presence, character, promises, and salvation in all we do. A completed journal is considered a book of remembrance to reflect and share God's goodness with future generations.
Book Synopsis Betty's Travel Journals by : Elisabeth Hewes
Download or read book Betty's Travel Journals written by Elisabeth Hewes and published by Paragon Publishing. This book was released on 2011-04 with total page 396 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The travels and observations of Elisabeth Hewes in her retirement years, during the last decade of the 20th century. With contributions by Stephen Butt and John Florance of BBC Radio Leicester During her retirement years, apart from her diaries, Elisabeth Hewes of Ravenstone in Leicestershire, wrote of her many travels, which were often accomplished in just one day. Betty's Travel Journals begin in April 1992 and finish at the end of 2000. They give a vivid insight into her love of life and people; we see familiar things through different eyes and visit unknown places which leave us with a feeling that we must go there ourselves. Travelling by road, rail, or merely on foot, Betty uses only the most salient points to describe her world in rich colours, but always with humour, intelligence and that steadfast sense of belonging and purpose found in her diaries. As Betty counts down to the New Millennium, she meticulously records her high days and holidays. We travel with her the length and breadth of Britain: from Bardon Hill Quarry to Buckingham Palace; from mighty Canterbury Cathedral to Snibston's little St. Mary's; from the most serene and tranquil Lakeland view to the busiest bustling day in the heart of our nation's great capital. Her journals feature hundreds of indexed and detailed entries in which she quotes from sources as diverse as the essays of Dr. Johnson and her local newspaper, each equally as relevant and informative as the next. Betty's Travel Journals are laced together with a strong historical and religious narrative but with an ever watchful eye on history in the making. Her travels were not confined to distance however; the 1990s saw incredible strides made by humankind and Betty documents our world's biggest events in the final years of the twentieth century as they play out alongside her journey through what turned out to be the last decade of her life.

Book Synopsis The Clairmont Family Journals 1855-1885 by : Sharon Joffe
Download or read book The Clairmont Family Journals 1855-1885 written by Sharon Joffe and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2021-02-15 with total page 433 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This edition presents the extant journals of Pauline Clairmont (1825–1891) and Wilhelm Clairmont (1831–1895), the niece and nephew of Claire Clairmont (1798–1879) who was Mary Shelley’s (1797–1851) stepsister. It also includes a journal originally attributed to Pauline but which likely was Walter Gaulis Clairmont’s (1868–1958; Wilhelm’s son). All three journals are currently deposited in the Carl H. Pforzheimer Collection of Shelley and His Circle at the New York Public Library. Pauline and Wilhelm spent many years living and working in places like Australia and the Banat and their adventures are recorded in their journals. Pauline wrote a series of sixteen journals cataloguing her life; however, except for one journal, all the remaining journals have been lost. Her extant journal, written primarily in English but with French and German entries, documents her struggles in the Australian outback during the 1850s and her relationship with William Henry Suttor, Junior, who would later become a pastoralist and a politician. Pauline’s journal tells of her love for Suttor, her disappointment at his rejection, and her musings about her life in Australia. In his journal, Wilhelm chronicles his attempts to purchase a farm in Europe while Walter provides us with an account of his 8-day Austrian expedition. This new edition brings together these three journals, thereby extending our understanding of the Shelley-Clairmont family. The edition includes an introduction to the primary Godwin-Shelley-Clairmont circle and a chapter on the history of life writing. The editor provides extensive editorial notes and carefully researched chapters to contextualize The Clairmont Family Journals: 1855–1885.
