Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Bible predicts the future, but scholars widely disagree on what the Bible says! How can the average person sort out fact from fiction? Daniel 12:10 boldly states that the wise will understand prophetic chronology in the last days. Have those days already begun? Retired hi-tech inventor and author Herbert R. Stollorz discovered that the dates of many key events predicted in the books of Daniel and Revelation fall between the years 2008 and 2018. Two of the keys that unlocked this mystery are the Hebrew Alphabet Number System and the Jewish feast and fast days. One of those fast days, Tammuz 17, commemorates the fall of Jerusalem prior to the destruction of God's Temple in that ancient city.

They repopulated the earth & in those days everyone spoke ONE LANGAUGE. This book reveals that very language. The original language utilized symbolic meanings, harmonious sounds, and used animated symbols to create their language. The symbols were animated by hand gestures. What is known as Ancient Hebrew is really the language of Noah & his family. The meaning of words, in the original language, originate from each symbol standing for a sign which originate from hand gestures. Ancient people of the world developed language from sign language. The evidence is in the disregarded Paleo Hebrew scripts. This revelation is history for the ENTIRE WORLD. You will be fascinated to realize that we still communicate using some of the same hand gestures used to create the very symbols of the Ancient Language.

Jews have always studied, interpreted, and revered sacred texts; they have also adorned the settings and occasions of sacred acts. Calligraphy and ornamentation have transformed Hebrew letters into art; quotation, interpretation, legend, and wordplay have made ceremonial objects into narrative. This book represents just such a collaboration between art and language. Ellen Frankel and Betsy Platkin Teutsch, writer and artist, have brought their extensive knowledge and talents together to create The Encyclopedia of Jewish Symbols, the first reference guide of its kind, designed for use by educators, artists, rabbis, folklorists, feminists, Jewish and non-Jewish scholars, and lay readers.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sefer Yetzirah (the "Book of Creation"), one of the earliest Kabbalistic works, teaches that the letters of the Hebrew alphabet are the building blocks of creation. Each letter has its own significance, spiritual energy, and reason for existing. In this revised version of Rabbi Ginsburgh's best-selling The Alef-Beit, Jewish Thought Revealed Through the Hebrew Letters, he explains how each letter's name, form, and numerical value play a role in the creative process of the cosmos. He draws on the understandings of the well-known mystic, the Baal Shem Tov, in depicting how each letter has nine dimensions, with impact in three worlds--the physical, spiritual, and Divine. In every letter there is the true completion of the soul, a chance to unite consciousness with the code of creation. Includes glossary, footnotes, and index.

Both letters and words, it has always been assumed, they have hidden messages and secrets to be sought after, as if we are opening a shell to extract the fruit. Rabbi Benjamin Blech has gathered many examples of the meanings hidden within Hebrew words and has explained them to the modern reader_even those who do not know any Hebrew. The result is both a fine illustration of this activity as well as a book rich with Jewish insight and teachings.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Amarna letters from Canaan offer us a unique glimpse of the historical and linguistic panorama of the Levant in the middle of the fourteenth century BCE. Their evidence regarding verbs is crucial for the historical and comparative study of the Semitic languages. Proper evaluation of this evidence requires an understanding of its scribal origin and nature. For this reason, The Verb in the Amarna Letters from Canaan addresses the historical circumstances in which the linguistic code of the letters was born and the unique characteristics of this system. The author adduces second-language acquisition as a proper framework for understanding the development of this language by scribes who were educated in centers on the cuneiform periphery. In this way, the book advances a novel interpretation: the letters testify to a scribal interlanguage that was born of the local use of cuneiform and was affected by the fossilization and transfer processes taking place in these language learners. This vision of the linguistic system of the letters as the learners' interlanguage informs the main part of the book, which is devoted to verbal morphology and semantics. The chapter on morphology offers an overview of conjugation patterns and morphemes in terms of paradigms. Employing a variationist approach, it also analyzes the bases on which the verbal forms were constructed. Next, the individual uses of each form are illustrated by numerous examples that provide readers with a basis for discovering alternative interpretations. The systemic view of each form and the various insights that permeate this book provide invaluable data for the historical and comparative study of the West Semitic verbal system, particularly of ancient Hebrew, Ugaritic, and Arabic.
