Every statement of fact in this volume is the solemn statement of persons--intelligent admirers of Mr. Lincoln--the equal of the most conservative, trustworthy and patriotic in the country. The first two editions have circulated in every State in the Union; have gone to Canada, Mexico, England, Scotland and India. The author has received letters by the hundred from representative citizens manifesting much interest in the facts thus made public for the first time.
