The partnership is led by Barwon Child, Youth & Family and includes Swinburne University, headspace Geelong, the Geelong Region Local Learning and Employment Network (LLEN), and three pilot schools - Northern Bay Secondary College, Newcomb Secondary School and Geelong High School. Between 200-250 school-aged adolescents seek help for homelessness issues every year in Geelong and some 900 teenagers and young adults experience homelessness. This interim report for the 2016-2017 period explains the background, context, and program logic of the project, describes its 'community of schools and services' (COSS) model, and presents some findings on its impact so far on at risk young people, including their family relation, continuing to live at home, and engagement in school or TAFE.
