So what exactly is Christianity? It stands on these four pillars: 1. We claim there is a God. 2. We assert that God came to earth as man, lived a sinless and blameless life, and willingly sacrificed himself as a solution to sin and a means to reconcile man with God. 3. We also claim that the crucifixion of this man was not the end of the story. Indeed, it was just the start of a truly remarkable third claim that the crucified man was brought back to life after being most decidedly dead. 4. Finally, we declare that because the first three claims are true, we have a means to understand and respond to suffering and pain that transcends whatever circumstances we may find ourselves in. Each claim is an indispensable part of Christianity. We owe a reasoned answer to the skeptic who is asking with good reason why anyone might believe such incredible claims. Also, since God left the church to spread his story, we owe it to God to tell his story accurately. To God be the glory.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The revelations contained in the Bible serve as a supreme guide by which to measure all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions—and today’s Christians are in steady moral and spiritual decline. A 2010 survey by the Barna Research Group reveals that in American churches, Christians have become less knowledgeable about the Bible, less interested in spiritual disciplines, and more desirous of secular techniques to solve life’s problems, thus blurring the distinction between their conduct and that of nonbelievers. In Seven Pillars of Christianity: An Introduction to the Essential Christian Doctrines, Dr. William Ekane reveals the life-transforming foundations of the Christian faith and issues a clarion call for Christians to return to authentic Christianity. First presenting his compelling case for the scientific reliability and divine origin of the Bible, Dr. Ekane works closely with Scripture as he leads us through everything from the Lord Jesus Christ to trust and faith in the living God to, finally, the five major judgments and Revelation. These practical, strategic insights and essential truths are invaluable to new converts as well as mature believers. The Word of the Holy Spirit offers transformation, illuminating our hearts and minds as we strengthen our spiritual foundation and grow deeper in God.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As a Christian, what makes your faith different than that of a Muslim, a Hindu, or even the “non-faith” of an atheist? Are we able to properly explain our faith to each other, let alone someone who is desperately in need of the healing power of the forgiveness of Jesus Christ? The Four Pillars of the Kingdom is an attempt to help us do just that by laying the groundwork, in an accessible manner, of what it means to be a Christian. The pillar of belief: why do we believe as we do? The pillar of knowledge: how we obtain our knowledge through scripture, prayer and even praise. The pillar of life: what is the proper Christian life and how our actions represent Christ to the rest of the world. And the pillar of love: how all love comes from God and should flow from us to those around us. The Four Pillars of the Kingdom will challenge your relationship with Jesus but, in doing so; make it stronger and closer than you ever thought possibleThis book will seek to begin a conversation that most Christians never have: why do I believe what I believe? Why not believe as others, Muslims, Hindus, atheists, believe? In the process, it will educate believers in the basics, the essential pillars, of our faith and to strip away the extraneous window dressing of social mores and get down to the heart of what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ as opposed to just being a “christian.”This book will appeal to a wide array of believers, particularly younger Christians who need to know more than just the accepted dogma of their parents. The audience are those people who need to know what we believe and, just as importantly, why we believe it. College students who want to have a relationship with Christ but are being held back by an academic environment that denigrates faith will be shown that our faith is reasonable, not baseless myth. New believers and more mature believers alike will find a systematic approach to believing and living in Christ. The book is accessible enough to be read by anybody, but also delves into the technical enough to interest the more advanced.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "To love [God] with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices." –Jesus' words in Mark 12:33 Without question the crucial issue in living the Christian life is the condition of your heart. Actions may be temporarily deceiving, but ultimately our outward behavior will reflect what's inside, because our internal attitudes form who we really are. Those inner attitudes are also what God deems most important. In this book one of Christianity's most respected Bible teachers and pastors examines the foundational attitudes, or "pillars," of Christian character as outlined in God's Word. Pillars such as genuine faith, obedience, humility, selfless love, forgiveness, self-discipline, gratitude, and worship. To some degree each trait, on its own, marks a person as one of God's own and reveals an active, living faith. Each is an essential element of mature Christianity. But there is transforming power when you combine them in your everyday living as God commands. Your character will be grounded in godliness; you will see things from an eternal perspective; and your faith, your actions, your witness to others will be revitalized from the inside out.

Book excerpt: The most important book you'll ever read is the Bible; no book ever written about the Bible can replace God's Word. Get a Bible first, then order your copy of this book. To those of us who are Christians: Have we truly grasped the mission of Jesus, and do our actions and character faithfully reflect His authority as our Lord and Savior? Imagine a church in which faith in Christ was so deeply entrenched, its pastor would be spiritually fed each week by the congregation, instead of the dynamic seen today. It would be a church so biblically-grounded, so rooted in faith, and so confident of the Gift of Salvation from Christ that the pursuit of God's Promises would be a natural condition. "7 Pillars of an Unshakable Christian Faith" speaks to the soul of every true Christian willing to follow the teachings of Christ, the path of Biblical Discipleship, and the guidance of The Holy Spirit through Scripture. Every reader will find its content informative, practical, and easy to apply in modern Christian life. Pillar #1: Bible Study Methods and Correct Interpretation Pillar #2: Christ's Commission and Biblical Discipleship Pillar #3: Biblical History and Historical Theology Pillar #4: Biblical Apologetics and Defending Christianity Pillar #5: Purposeful Prayer and Biblical Fasting Pillar #6: Spiritual Warfare and Defeating Temptation Pillar #7: Applying Biblical Truth in Modern Christian Life Michael I. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “AND SAMPSON SAID TO THE YOUNG MAN WHO HELD HIM BY THE HAND, ‘LET ME FEEL THE PILLARS ON WHICH THE HOUSE RESTS, THAT I MAY LEAN AGAINST THEM’” (Judges 16:26, ESV) Mark Finely has rightly said that there are “seven basic teachings” on which God has built His church. “Wisdom has built her house, she has hewn out her seven pillars.” These seven pillars are essential, and “the non-negotiables:” Scripture (John 17:17) Salvation (John 3:16) Second Coming (John 14:1-3) Sabbath (John 14:15) State of the Dead (John 11:11-26) Sanctuary (John 17:4, 11, 24) Holy Spirit and Spirit of Prophecy (John 14:15-17) (Prov. 9:1; Mark Finely, Solid Ground, p. 374) “The house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth” is built on these seven pillars, 1 Tim. 3:15. Because of this, Dr. Norman identifies the church as an eight pillar. This eight pillar rests on the other seven “non-negotiables.” These “non-negotiables” are in turn rooted and grounded in Christ, and they define who we are as a biblical community of faith. Tragically though, great uncertainty concerning the pillars abound. The “non-negotiables” are under assault. And this assault will intensify as a mighty sifting sieve. “Those who seek to remove the old landmarks . . . bring in theories that would remove the pillars of our faith concerning the sanctuary . . . [they are] working as blind men . . . [they are] seeking to bring in uncertainties and to set the people of God adrift without an anchor,” (E. G. White, Manuscript Release No. 760. P. 9, 1905). If there ever was a time, we needed the resolve of Sampson, it is now! The author hopes that this book will inspire this resolve—a resolve that will lead us back to the pillars; back to the “non-negotiables.” Like Sampson, may we feel the pillars once again, and lean on “the non-negotiables” centered in Christ.
