Book excerpt: Excerpt from The Forty-Seventh Report of the Upper Canada Bible Society, for the Year Ending March 31st, 1887 (Fifty-Eighth of the Society's Operations): With a Report of the Anniversary Meeting In the good providence of God we meet to celebrate another anniversary of the Upper Canada Bible Society, and in submitting their report for the past year the Directors desire to thank Him for the large measure of success which has attended their operations in disseminating the Word of God, and for the increasing interest manifested in this work. This growing desire, on the part of the Lord's people, to scatter the good seed of the Word, is a matter of rejoicing, as is also the fact that open doors for the introduction of the Scriptures are continually presenting them selves and we, are encouraged to look forward to the time when the earth shall be full ofthe knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
