When that goal failed, she returned to comedy roles, appearing in Alfred Hitchcock's Mr. & Mrs. Smith (1941) and Ernst Lubitsch's To Be or Not to Be (1942), her final film role. Sadly, Lombard's career ended abruptly when she died at the age of 33 in an aircraft crash on Mount Potosi, Nevada. She was returning from a War Bond tour. In all, Lombard appeared in nearly 80 films, including many bit and uncredited roles in silent and sound films. This collection includes films for which promotional art was available.
