Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We present four intriguing and inspiring stories from around the globe. Florida, November 2008; South Africa, May 2009; Europe, August 2009 and China, October 2009. Metaphysically and philosophically speaking all the places offered a great deal in not just the quality of life but most importantly to highlight the educational, architectural and geographical reasons for being in the limelight. Florida was just about blending money and materials into one for the purpose of finding eternal happiness. Cape Town projected a different prospective of a young and prosperous new nation. Greece and Croatia projected a lively and challenging outlook of Eastern Europe with beauty, development and integrity while Beijing was full of oriental vision and an absolute must for anyone. So please sit back and enjoy our realm of world vision in the everlasting kingdom of god. We sincerely hope that our literary and philosophical vision is your time and pleasure.

Book excerpt: This book is projected mainly about Israel, which I sincerely believe would greatly open your eyes with regard to anything you didnt know about this country. I decided to call it the challenge of Aliyah, or emigration, because of the number of challenges or developments that occurred during my seventeen years in the Middle East. There were many periods when the adventures were so pulsating that there was never really a dull or boring moment with little or nothing to do. Not only is this book designed to blow your brains to bits, but this is the novel of novels, which once you pick it up, then you wont be able to put it down until its finished. It should also be clearly stressed that just before I began writing this epic saga, as to the genuine and true spiritual meaning combined with religious/cultural values. My thoughts, in being the second generation from the Nazi Holocaust in Europe are genuine to the core. However, this is not emphasized in any way as being defined like a national or international hero. This situation, I sincerely hope will develop in a positive manner, way beyond into the future: Amen.

Book excerpt: The best way to summarize the main issues is fact-finding, and it should be inclusive of what people need to know about becoming professional in one of the more challenging environments. I took into consideration the paid and voluntary jobs I had in the United Kingdom, Israel, and Nepal before being invited to the Far East. Creating a career out of nearly nothing is nothing short of a miracle. The Chinese people have, in effect, allowed me to (1) create or establish a new home, (2) create a new career, (3) find a soul mate, and (4) finally publish what would be my sixth book. Almost no one helped me perform this duty because each foreign teacher has his or her strategies of teaching. I am, however, truly grateful for my loving wife, Yvonne Wu, for giving me all the assistance and guidance for making this happen. In view of the ever-challenging demands of Chinese students, parents, and bilingual schools, every effort is being made to modify methods to ensure that my classes are as interesting as possible. All my lessons include the use of the modernizing IT equipment, including electronic screens. Your enjoyment in reading is my most profound pleasure.

It covers a period of nearly nine months from July 2002 until April 2003. The activities and developments are details that are worth learning about how many people still live as working class in the world but who seek to find a better life. My expectations from a point of view of hospitality were more than fulfilled, and this was mainly due to the way I was treated. The book talks about finding a peaceful way of life regardless of where you are in the world and attempts to find a way to overcome many obstacles, such as money and resources. Probably the last important issue is communicating and treating people with a great deal of respect because there is always someone in the world who is worse off than you.

In 2002 or nearly twenty years later, he left Israel and moved to America for a short and relaxing time. He subsequently moved from America to spend nearly six months teaching English in a small but very remote village in the southern part of Nepal between 2002 and 2003. By the spring of 2003, Danny decided to return to the UK, where he spent the next few years working in a new career for two large retail companies in Central London. In some of his free time, he projected considerable amounts of efforts in creative writing, online blogs, publishing and improving his overall knowledge of IT. During this time, he also made numerous but mainly pleasurable trips to the African, Asian, American, and European Continents respectively. Moreover, in recent times, such as in 2009, Danny has made another affluent move to the Peoples Democratic Republic of China. It further explains the fundamental shifts in awareness involved in mastering all transitions. Dr. deAngelis explains that the "keys" are everywhere around and within us and that the ability to spot these keys is our birthright. Perhaps the mystery to why this information is relatively unknown is that it is considered something very special to which only a few are entitled.

Book excerpt: A New York Times and Los Angeles Times Bestseller “Doughty chronicles [death] practices with tenderheartedness, a technician’s fascination, and an unsentimental respect for grief.” —Jill Lepore, The New Yorker Fascinated by our pervasive fear of dead bodies, mortician Caitlin Doughty embarks on a global expedition to discover how other cultures care for the dead. From Zoroastrian sky burials to wish-granting Bolivian skulls, she investigates the world’s funerary customs and expands our sense of what it means to treat the dead with dignity. Her account questions the rituals of the American funeral industry—especially chemical embalming—and suggests that the most effective traditions are those that allow mourners to personally attend to the body of the deceased. Exquisitely illustrated by artist Landis Blair, From Here to Eternity is an adventure into the morbid unknown, a fascinating tour through the unique ways people everywhere confront mortality.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A comprehensive history of the continent, “full of engaging and attention-catching information about North America’s geology, climate, and paleontology” (The Washington Post Book World). Here, “the rock star of modern science” tells the unforgettable story of the geological and biological evolution of the North American continent, from the time of the asteroid strike that wiped out the dinosaurs 65 million years ago to the present day (Jared Diamond, Pulitzer Prize–winning author of Guns, Germs, and Steel). Flannery describes the development of North America’s deciduous forests and other flora, and tracks the migrations of various animals to and from Europe, Asia, and South America, showing how plant and animal species have either adapted or become extinct. The story spans the massive changes wrought by the ice ages and the coming of the Native Americans. It continues right up to the present, covering the deforestation of the Northeast, the decimation of the buffalo, and other consequences of frontier settlement and the industrial development of the United States. This is science writing at its very best—both an engrossing narrative and a scholarly trove of information that “will forever change your perspective on the North American continent” (The New York Review of Books).
