These themes are relevant in research and development in coding theory, cryptography and quantum mechanics. The topics in this volume were presented at the Workshop on Non-Associative & Non-Commutative Algebra and Operator Theory, held May 23—25, 2014 at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, Senegal in honor of Professor Amin Kaidi. The workshop was hosted by the university's Laboratory of Algebra, Cryptology, Algebraic Geometry and Applications, in cooperation with the University of Almería and the University of Málaga. Dr. Kaidi's work focuses on non-associative rings and algebras, operator theory and functional analysis, and he has served as a mentor to a generation of mathematicians in Senegal and around the world.
Book Synopsis Entwined Homelands, Empowered Diasporas by : Aviad Moreno
Download or read book Entwined Homelands, Empowered Diasporas written by Aviad Moreno and published by Indiana University Press. This book was released on 2024-06-04 with total page 263 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Entwined Homelands, Empowered Diasporas explores how the 30,000 Jews in northern Morocco developed a sense of kinship with modern Spain, medieval Sepharad, and the broader Hispanophone world that was unlike anything experienced elsewhere. The Hispanic Moroccan Jewish diaspora, as this group is often called by its scholars and its community leaders, also became one of the most mobile and globally dispersed North African groups in the twentieth century, with major hubs in Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Spain, Israel, Canada, France, and the US, among others. Drawing on an array of communal sources from across this diaspora, Aviad Moreno explores how narratives of ancestry in Spain, Israel, Morocco, and several Latin American countries interconnected the diaspora, empowering its hubs across the globe throughout the twentieth century and beyond. By investigating these mechanisms of diaspora formation in a small community that once shared the same space in Morocco,Entwined Homelands, Empowered Diasporas challenges national accounts of the broader Jewish diasporas and adds complexity to the annals of multilayered ethnic communities on the move.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the first extensive treatment of the theory of corings and their comodules. In the first part, the module-theoretic aspects of coalgebras over commutative rings are described. Corings are then defined as coalgebras over non-commutative rings. Topics covered include module-theoretic aspects of corings, such as the relation of comodules to special subcategories of the category of modules (sigma-type categories), connections between corings and extensions of rings, properties of new examples of corings associated to entwining structures, generalisations of bialgebras such as bialgebroids and weak bialgebras, and the appearance of corings in non-commutative geometry.
Book Synopsis Living Wands of the Druids by : Jon G. Hughes

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A practical guide to the creation of natural wands for magical work • Explains the variety of woods and other botanicals that may be used to craft wands, their magical and hermetic attributes and virtues, and how these influence the adept’s intention and magical workings • Offers detailed harvesting advice, explaining the necessary magical actions specific to each tree as well as important influences such as the phases of the moon and the seasons • Offers step-by-step instructions for wand practice, including magical workings, cleansing, intention, potentializing, and how to properly return a wand to nature From Moses to Merlin to the power of the royal scepter, the wand has been a key magical device found in nearly every civilization and esoteric tradition throughout history. The fundamental purpose of a wand is to act as a spiritual conduit, harnessing the power of the adept’s intention and channeling it into manifestation. Exploring the history, lore, and creation of living wands—those crafted from local natural materials—fifth-generation Druid Jon G. Hughes presents a practical guide to the harvesting, crafting, and potentializing of living wands, as well as rods and staffs. He offers detailed harvesting advice, explaining the magical actions and meditations specific to each tree that should accompany crafting work as well as important influences such as the phases of the moon and the seasons. He looks in depth at woodlore, explaining the variety of woods and other botanicals that may be used to craft wands, their magical and hermetic attributes and virtues, and how these influence the adept’s intention and magical workings. Trees and botanicals examined include oak, hawthorn, hazel, birch, apple, ash, mistletoe, holly, and ivy. The author explores various types of wands, such as rood, entwined, thorn, and compound, detailing how each differs in its use and intended outcome. He offers step-by-step instructions on how to use wands for magical workings and explains other aspects of wand practice, including cleansing, intention, potentializing, and how to properly return a wand to nature after its purpose has been fulfilled. Presenting a complete guide to crafting and using living wands as well as the history and lore behind this traditional form of Druidic natural magic, this book allows you to harness the magical essence of the living natural resources that surround you, helping you elevate your manifestations from the mundane to the higher spiritual planes.
Book Synopsis The Energy Evolution – Harnessing Free Energy from Nature by : Viktor Schauberger
Download or read book The Energy Evolution – Harnessing Free Energy from Nature written by Viktor Schauberger and published by Gill & Macmillan Ltd. This book was released on 2000-10-05 with total page 430 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Energy Evolution, the final volume in the revolutionary Eco-Technology series, contains radical environmentalist Viktor Schauberger's groundbreaking writings on methods for energy generation that harness the enormous potential of Nature. Nature produces energy by slow, cool, implosive means – by a centripetal inward motion, while our present culture uses explosive centrifugal (outwards) movement, which is wasteful and many times less powerful and effective. It also uses up the Earth's resources and pollutes her ecosystems. This volume describes different kinds of energy machines which depend on the principle of implosion: - A spring water-producing machine - A tornado home energy generator - A Klimator which produces mountain-quality air - The biotechnical submarine - A technique for producing power from ocean deeps - A flying saucer prototype which rose at fantastic speed to high altitudes - A perpetual motion suction-based implosion machineOne of the first genuine environmentalists, Schauberger was a pioneering genius who combined keen observation of Nature with intuitive brilliance and a sharp engineer's brain. His work is enjoying a worldwide revival because he was able to convey how an understanding of Nature's subtle energies is essential to our survival. This Fertile Earth contains his innovative theories as well as his very last letters on the subject, providing an alternative analysis of the unharnessed and vital power of Nature. The Eco-Technology series makes available for the first time Viktor Schauberger's original writings and passionate debates. Callum Coats has painstakingly collected, translated and edited the material for what promises to be the most definitive study yet of this extraordinary man's life and work. This Fertile Earth: Table of Contents Introduction - Some Philosophical Aspects of Natural Energies - New Forms of Temperature - New Forms of Motion and Energy - New Views of Electromagnetism - The Nature of Water, its Conduction and Use for Transport - The Air Turbine - Early Developments in Implosion Machines - The Ennoblement of Water - Machines of the Genus – Repulsator - The Klimator - Machines of the Genus – Repulsine - Last Letters from Viktor Schauberger - The Popel Report

Book Synopsis Working with Mystical Experiences in Psychoanalysis by : Leslie Stein
Download or read book Working with Mystical Experiences in Psychoanalysis written by Leslie Stein and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2018-10-09 with total page 374 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A mystical experience, no matter what else, is a subjective occurrence in the psyche. However, when it appears in the psychoanalytic consulting room, its origin, content, and meaning are unknowable. Yet it is there in the room, and it must be addressed. It is not a minor illusion but rather one that requires attention as its occurrence may lead to a profound alteration of consciousness and, as Carl Jung suggests, a cure for neurosis. Leslie Stein interviewed twenty-nine mystics in order to understand the origin, progression, phasing, emotions, and individual variations of a mystical experience in order to make sense of how it should be addressed, the appropriate analytic attitude in the face of a mystery, the way to work with its content, and its psychological meaning. In doing so, he uncovered that there may be specific development markers that create a proclivity to be receptive to such an experience that has clinical significance for psychoanalysis.
