This book was released on 2022-09-15 with total page 102 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book presents the Eigen Theory of the physical world which consists of three stages. First stage formulates a pair of eigen velocity vectors, which produces the wave aspect of the wave-particle duality of matter. These vectors are functions of a pair of symmetric and antisymmetric tensors which are characteristic of gravitation and electromagnetism respectively. The second stage transforms the wave aspect of matter to the particle aspect which occupies a base manifold characterised by a second pair of symmetric and antisymmetric tensors. The third stage develops the particle aspect and its occupation of the base manifold the fundamental form of which is the Hydrogen atom. These three stages expose the reality behind matter-antimatter, wave-particle duality of matter, the results of the double-slit experiment, the nature of dark energy and the structure of dark matter. In Eigen Theory Quantum Mechanics becomes restructured, in particular the uncertainty principle ceases to exist, and General Relativity becomes complete.

This book was released on 2024-07-04 with total page 99 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book, which is the fourth edition of the Eigen Theory of the Physical World, presents the eigen theory of the natural physical world of geometrical origin the principal feature of which happens to be the proper form of dark matter. According to this theory the fundamental form of a particle of matter is a continuous distribution of points that forms a manifold of its own. Each of these points results from the intersection of a corresponding pair of eigen velocity vectors that generate the wave aspect of the wave-particle duality of matter. The theory evolves in three stages. The first stage develops the pair of eigen velocity vectors. These vectors are complete with their own field of a pair of symmetric and antisymmetric tensors characteristic of gravitation and electromagnetism respectively. The second stage transforms the wave aspect into its very opposite, the particle aspect, as a pair of particles that are the progenitors of proton and electron. The base manifolds of these particles are made up of the proper form dark matter. The third stage brings together proton and electron as the Hydrogen atom which in effect is the proper particle aspect of the wave-particle duality of matter. In the eigen theory General Relativity becomes complete and Quantum Mechanics gets restructured; in particular the principle of uncertainty ceases to exist.
Book Synopsis The Economics of Iraq by : Amer K. Hirmis
Download or read book The Economics of Iraq written by Amer K. Hirmis and published by Grosvenor House Publishing. This book was released on 2018-03-12 with total page 580 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Meticulously researched and written by Dr Amer K. Hirmis the book takes readers 6000 years back to early Mesopotamian polity, culture, and religious codes which shaped the economy, and continue to shape much of the body of Iraq's polity, economy and society today. Economic inefficiency, inequality and lack of sufficient employment are common threads that run throughout Mesopotamian/Iraqi economic history. The persistence of poverty, high unemployment, conscious discrimination against women, and a polity dictating blind allegiance and obedience from the subjects to the ruler, denied the Iraqis achieving economic development, the ultimate aim of which is the sustained improvement of the well-being of the people. Even when economic growth was attained, it was desperately non-inclusive. With a novel approach to economic development, this book examines Iraq's economy over the past 100 years. It establishes the historical roots in the consumption patterns, nature of the producers, the economic structure, trade, monetary and fiscal policy and resource allocation. In all these areas the echoes from the ancient past are striking. The principles of Sumerian taxes are still applied in present-day Iraq. The book proposes a set of conditions, which will need to be created for Iraq to achieve economic development and functional democracy, in the distant future.

The manager structures the firm and hires and organises the people. They develop necessary technology. They motivate, develop, and reward their people, while ensuring their wellbeing. And they drive change, ultimately securing their firm's productivity and sustainability. This book details how management of the firm should be done. It builds practical models that managers can follow to get the very best out of their people. This third edition considers recent international events such as the COVID pandemic that have changed the very nature of work itself.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A la Carte, poetry from a bipolar mind. This is a debut collection of poetry, thoughtful, deep sometimes humorous I write mainly about mental health, love, and lost love. I especially like emotional dark pieces that pack a punch and somewhat old-fashioned romance! I use a pen name sometimes 'the manic poet' I also introduce the semi colon into my work, it's a mental health symbol meaning survival, i e an author could have used a full stop but decided to carry on instead. 'Gold and silver' another metaphor also make some appearances.
Download or read book Scotland written by David Lee Knight and published by Grosvenor House Publishing. This book was released on 2024-06-20 with total page 254 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Want to know how to take over a small country? This story follows a group of disparate people, over many years, as they campaign for Scottish Independence. Isobel and Karen hold strong socialist views but they are tempered by James and Richard who believe that a better way to govern requires more control. Jake, from the criminal underworld, believes only in independence. Glimpses into the past show how their experiences have helped shape their politics and philosophy, and how it motivates them or, accentuates an already damaged personality. Their children, the second generation, join them and will surpass the roles of their parents. When Simon, a multi-billionaire owner of a gambling empire, agrees to finance them, all becomes possible. When they realise that change will not come by political will alone, the plan for a bloodless revolution develops. They have the means to achieve it - Richard, throughout his career in the Army, has been building a hidden network of independence supporters within the Scottish brigades. To support the army network they have recruited and trained a militia commanded by the gangster's son. They have formed a political party that will be the basis of the provisional government. They have prepared well for one day - Independence Day.
Book Synopsis Sea Stories from Springbok by : Gavin Russell
Download or read book Sea Stories from Springbok written by Gavin Russell and published by Grosvenor House Publishing. This book was released on 2024-06-13 with total page 103 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Forty former sea-goes, of all descriptions, live in a unique little country estate in Surrey. Their memories, from as early as 1957, have become the inspiration for this collection of varied, entertaining, and salty tales. Engineers, seamen, officers, fishermen, and yachtsmen (serving on general cargo and container ships, tankers, luxury yachts, trawlers, cruisers, and aircraft carriers) who have travelled the world in all its weathers, have given us some priceless accounts of their adventures. From tragedy to bullets flying, from hilarious to horrific and with loneliness and comradeship, it will keep you guessing and turning the pages. Stories include - paying not to have to buy the chief's daughter; emergency four hundred feet down in a diving bell; watching your thumb go off in a crane strop; losing power in a force ten storm (with your trawls down); bleeding on the floor of the Taverna; caught with your live-in girlfriend by the skipper; surviving the sinking ferry - and so much more! How did such a collection of seafarers come together in this unlikely place? It all began at the end of the First World War when a shipping magnate and a seamen's union boss got together to take care of the many injured Merchant Navy casualties. They organised a huge fund-raising occasion in London, which provided enough funds to buy a nursing home in Kent that did essential work for years - until the Second World War. In 1947, with the help of a magnificent contribution from the South African government (given in gratitude for our Merchant Navy keeping them supplied during the war) and the generosity of the RMT Union, they were provided with a new home in Surrey; 'Springbok' where they, and all arrivals since, have been given a home and supported ever since. The Merchant Navy has had to survive drastic changes over the years, moving from general cargo to container ships and then tankers. Each step meant that serious adjustments had to be made by all involved. When containers took over, the turnaround times in port meant there was no longer a week or more for unloading and no longer times for friendly relationships in port! Working in tankers meant crews were so remote at the distant unloading points that they often did not get ashore at all. Then, the introduction of 'Flags-of-convenience' provided much more competition from around the world for our countrymen - conditions changed again. Inevitably ships moved in and out of war situations, often supplying the combatants. Do not simply imagine lone cargo carriers ploughing the distant waters, the Royal Navy was always busy keeping seaways safe while there are so many other reasons for being on (or in) the oceans; including 'for the sheer pleasure of it'. We have got them all living here on the Estate. Through all the changes, our seafarers managed fascinating careers wherever they were around the world's oceans. Compensations came and went, and relationships too, but they always shared their work and experience to make life more liveable. It is all in this book of gripping yarns!

Book Synopsis Boston Studies in the Philosophy of Science by : Marx W. Wartofsky
Download or read book Boston Studies in the Philosophy of Science written by Marx W. Wartofsky and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 220 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The broad range of interdisciplinary concerns which are encompassed by the philosophy of science have this much in common: (I) they arise from reflection upon the fundamental concepts, the formal structures, and the methodology of the sciences; (2) they touch upon the characteristically philosophical questions of ontology and epistemology in a unique way, bringing to traditional conceptions the analytic apparatus of modern logic, and the new content and conceptual models of active scientific investigations. These sources are reflected in the present volume, which consists of the major portion of the papers presented to the Boston Colloquium for the Philosophy of Science in the academic year 1961-1962. There is no central theme nor any dominant approach in this colloquium. Initiated in 1960 as an inter-university interdisciplinary faculty group, the Colloqnium is intended to foster creative and regular exchange of research and opinion, to provide a forum for professional discussion in the philosophy of science, and to stimulate the development of academic programs in philosophy of science in the colleges and universities of metropolitan Boston. The base of the Colloquium is our philosophic and scientific community, as broad and heterodox as the academic, cultural and techno logical complex in and about this city. The Colloquium has been supported in its first full year, as an inter-institutional cooperative association, by a generous grant to Boston University from the U. S. National Science Foundation. We are most grateful for this help.
Book Synopsis Time's Arrows Today by : Steven F. Savitt
Download or read book Time's Arrows Today written by Steven F. Savitt and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 1997-06-13 with total page 348 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: While experience tells us that time flows from the past to the present and into the future, a number of philosophical and physical objections exist to this commonsense view of dynamic time. In an attempt to make sense of this conundrum, philosophers and physicists are forced to confront fascinating questions, such as: Can effects precede causes? Can one travel in time? Can the expansion of the Universe or the process of measurement in quantum mechanics define a direction in time? In this book, researchers from both physics and philosophy attempt to answer these issues in an interesting, yet rigorous way. This fascinating book will be of interest to physicists and philosophers of science and educated general readers interested in the direction of time.

This book was released on 2014-01-15 with total page 419 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book offers new reflections on the life world, from both phenomenological and hermeneutic perspectives. It presents a prism for a new philosophy of science and technology, especially including the social sciences but also the environment as well as questions of ethics and philosophical aesthetics in addition to exploring the themes of theology and religion. Inspired by the many contributions made by the philosopher Joseph Kockelmans, this book examines the past, present and future prospects of hermeneutic phenomenology. It raises key questions of truth and method as well as highlights both continental and analytic traditions of philosophy. Contributors to The Multidimensionality of Hermeneutic Phenomenology include leading scholars in the field as well as new voices representing analytic philosophers of science, hermeneutic and phenomenological philosophers of science, scholars of comparative literature, theorists of environmental studies, specialists in phenomenological ethics and experts in classical hermeneutics.
Book Synopsis Rethinking the Concept of Law of Nature by : Yemima Ben-Menahem
Download or read book Rethinking the Concept of Law of Nature written by Yemima Ben-Menahem and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2022-06-13 with total page 390 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book subjects the traditional concept of law of nature to critical examination. There are two kinds of reasons that invite this reexamination, one deriving from philosophical concerns over the traditional concept, the other motivated by theoretical and practical changes in science. One of the philosophical worries is that the idiom of law of nature, especially when combined with the notion of laws 'governing' individual events and processes, is no longer as intelligible as it used to be in the theistic context in which the formulation of laws became central to science. The traditional concept is also challenged in various ways by contemporary scientific theories such as quantum mechanics, chaos theory and the general theory of relativity. It is no longer clear that there are any universal laws, laws do not always guarantee predictability, and the border between physical and mathematical considerations is constantly shifting. The most difficult challenge, perhaps, is to come up with a scientific explanation of the origin of laws. Wrestling with these intriguing problems, the papers in this volume broaden both our understanding of the natural order and our desiderata of scientific explanation.
Book Synopsis Variations in Organization Science by : Joel A. C. Baum
Download or read book Variations in Organization Science written by Joel A. C. Baum and published by SAGE Publications. This book was released on 1999-05-14 with total page 465 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In my judgment this book in honor of Donald T. Campbell will be very influential and highly cited. . . . It will become a must read for Ph.D. students and scholars in strategy and organization theory. —Arie Lewin, Duke University "The topics in this volume are cutting edge, and the contributors are first-rate. The book is well anchored—Donald T. Campbell has had a profound influence on the field. Moreover, the book is well-conceptualized—socio-cultural evolution, co-evolution, methods modeling, and epistemology are key issues in organization science right now. —Michael Tushman, Harvard University If he were an assistant professor today, what would social science giant Donald T. Campbell be pursuing in the field of organization science? Joel A. C. Baum and Bill McKelvey explore this question in Variations in Organization Science. This volume reveals and celebrates Campbell′s many contributions to organization science by presenting new variations that stem directly from his work. Rather than analyze Campbell′s theories, the authors present ideas that Campbell might have pursued if he were currently a doctoral student. This volume is unique in its focus on coevolution and multilevel coevolutionary analysis, as well as in its range of subject matter from empirical studies to leading-edge epistemological discourses. Each of the book′s four main sections focuses on a major aspect of Campbell′s legacy: blind variation, selection, and retention; multilevel coevolution; process level analysis and modeling; and epistemology and methodology. In addition, the volume includes a Foreward by Barbara Frankel Campbell and an unusual Appendix: Donald Campbell′s complete curriculum vitae. Variations in Organization Science should be on the top of the reading list for any organization scientist interested in organizational evolution, change, and competitiveness. This volume will also appeal to any scholar interested in the human and social capital base of firms and how organizational knowledge and learning work to provide the basis of competitive advantage.
