There is scarcely any one who does not fee and understand the beauty of smiling fields and comfortable cott es; but the beau? Of lakes and mountains is not so universally tin sheble. It requires some knowledge of our epsoms, - some ha ts of reflec tion, - some play of fancy, - some exercise of afl'ecnon, to ia terpret the lolly characters in: which Nature here speaks to the heart and the imagination; and reflects, from the broken.
