Book Synopsis Determination of Synthetic Hydrocarbons in Hybrid Mineral Oil Lubricants by : L. L. Stavinoha
Download or read book Determination of Synthetic Hydrocarbons in Hybrid Mineral Oil Lubricants written by L. L. Stavinoha and published by . This book was released on 1977 with total page 11 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An analytical gas chromatographic procedure has been developed to qualitatively and quantitatively detect polyalpha olefins such as oligomers of decene-1 in hybrid mineral oil lubricants. The polyalpha olefin synthetic hydrocarbons used in hybrid lubricants are narrow boiling compounds producing specific peaks as compared to the broad range gaussian type distribution of mineral oils. Difficult base line definition and undetectable components such as C60 oligomers produce errors which are acceptable even if larger than desired. (Author).

This book was released on 2020-07-22 with total page 464 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A thorough introduction to environmental monitoring in the oil and gas industry Analytical Techniques in the Oil and Gas Industry for Environmental Monitoring examines the analytical side of the oil and gas industry as it also provides an overall introduction to the industry. You’ll discover how oil and natural gas are sourced, refined, and processed. You can learn about what’s produced from oil and natural gas, and why evaluating these sourced resources is important. The book discusses the conventional analyses for oil and natural gas feeds, along with their limitations. It offers detailed descriptions of advanced analytical techniques that are commercially available, plus explanations of gas and oil industry equipment and instrumentation. You’ll find technique descriptions supplemented with a list of references as well as with real-life application examples. With this book as a reference, you can prepare to apply specific analytical methods in your organization’s lab environment. Analytical Techniques can also serve as your comprehensive resource on key techniques in the characterization of oil and gas samples, within both refinery and environmental contexts. Understand of the scope of oil and gas industry techniques available Consider the benefits and limitations of each available process Prepare for applying analytical techniques in your lab See real examples and a list of references for each technique Read descriptions of off-line analytics, as well as on-line and process applications As a chemist, engineer, instructor, or student, this book will also expand your awareness of the role these techniques have in environmental monitoring and environmental impact assessments.

Download or read book Analysis of MIL-L-23699C Synthetic Lubricant Contamination of 3-GP-26Ma Hydraulic Fluid by Gas Chromatography-mass Spectrometry written by Defence Research Establishment Atlantic and published by Dartmouth, N.S. : Defence Research Establishment Atlantic. This book was released on 1987 with total page 20 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A method is described for the determination of MIL-L-23699C synthetic lubricant contamination of 3-GP-26Ma hydraulic fluid. The method utilizes capillary gas chromatographic separation of the constituents of these fluids and quadrupole mass spectrometic detection of these fluids and quadrupole mass spectrometric detection of these constituents. The analysis takes 25 minutes and the lower limit of detection is 0.4 nanograms (ng) of MIL-L-23699C with a linear response range up to at least 4000 ng depending on the instrumental parameters used.
