Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from The Christian Religion, Its Meanings and Proof This book forms the sequel to my former work, entitled The Fatherhood of God in Christian Truth and Life. It is an attempt to explain and verify the Christian religion by means of the fatherly-filial relationship, the supremacy and meaning of which for Christian consciousness and theology, was investigated in the former work. The book has been prepared under very great difficulties, owing to the ceaseless pressure of public engagements. It is to be feared that it has suffered thereby. Moreover, its scope is so extensive that it has been impossible to fill in many details, while some important subjects connected with the exposition and proof of Christianity have been but lightly touched upon or in some cases omitted altogether. The purpose of the book is rather to establish a general point of view than to treat the subject with the exhaustiveness of a Compendium of Christian Evidences. The popular discussion of what is commonly called the New Theology did not take place till this book was practically completed. It has, therefore, been impossible, even if it had been otherwise desirable, to enter into the current controversy on the subject. It will be found, however, that many of the subjects of the controversy are dealt with, and that a serious attempt is made to give full effect to the truth of the immanence, while steadfastly maintaining the transcendence, of God. I am, of course, greatly indebted to many sources in working out the view of Christianity and of its relation to Reality, which is outlined in these pages. Collins, head of the Human Genome Project, is one of the world's leading scientists, working at the cutting edge of the study of DNA, the code of life. Yet he is also a man of unshakable faith in God. How does he reconcile the seemingly unreconcilable? In THE LANGUAGE OF GOD he explains his own journey from atheism to faith, and then takes the reader on a stunning tour of modern science to show that physics, chemistry and biology -- indeed, reason itself -- are not incompatible with belief. His book is essential reading for anyone who wonders about the deepest questions of all: why are we here? How did we get here? And what does life mean?

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Can a religious truth be logically proven, or is religion forever relegated to being a matter of blind faith? If there is a true religion, shouldn’t we be able to prove it by now, using scientific data and higher mathematics? This is exactly what Paul Kasch sets out to do in his latest work. The reader is invited to follow along in the investigation process as we: • Establish an unbiased, neutral mindset • Look around at the environment we find ourselves living in, and attempt to solve the question of our existence • Gather the world’s major religions, logically arrange and dissect them, and require them to present demonstrable truth of their claims This book would not exist if the quest failed. Using nothing more than the reasoning prowess we are all born with, a solitary (yet timeless) religious truth emerges as the equation of the only sound logical argument capable of producing such a thing. Use your head for something other than a hat rack and join the author on an intellectual journey which renders all other pursuits trivial by comparison.

Book excerpt: Questions about the reliability of the New Testament are commonly raised today both by biblical scholars and popular media. Drawing on decades of research, Craig Blomberg addresses all of the major objections to the historicity of the New Testament in one comprehensive volume. Topics addressed include the formation of the Gospels, the transmission of the text, the formation of the canon, alleged contradictions, the relationship between Jesus and Paul, supposed Pauline forgeries, other gospels, miracles, and many more. Historical corroborations of details from all parts of the New Testament are also presented throughout. The Historical Reliability of the New Testament marshals the latest scholarship in responding to New Testament objections, while remaining accessible to non-specialists.

This book was released on 2022-11-22 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “Why is there something rather than nothing?” That’s the quintessential, philosophical question in mankind’s search not only for the existence of the universe, but also for the existence, meaning, and purpose of life. That question forms the essence for this informative and enlightening book in which author Dr. Kelly J. Walters reveals both the answer (Jesus Christ) and the abundant evidential proof. Everyone longs to know the answers to universally profound questions like “Is God real?” or “What is the true creation story of the universe and of humankind?” or “Is there an afterlife?” These questions are vast, extreme, and complex. While there are many theories, the ultimate empirical and factual answers are impossible to definitively prove for both theist and naturalistic scientism alike. Both sides require faith. In Truth and Proof for the Christian Worldview, Dr. Walters offers evidence and rational proof defending the one position that provides the best logical, experiential, and noncontradictory answer for all the above questions: Christianity. Atheist turned Christian, Dr. Walters delves into this convincing evidence, providing an organized and scholarly summary and presentation of the detailed research available for Christian apologetics. He teaches on a plethora of topics, including comparative religion worldviews, key logical arguments and formal proofs for God, the origins of the universe and life, evolution and creationism theories, who is Jesus Christ, what is true Christianity, and more. The evidence related to these theological and scientific topics rationally serve to defend, clarify, and prove the truth for the reality of the one true God of the Bible as creator of the universe and life.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Christopher Hitchens, described in the London Observer as “one of the most prolific, as well as brilliant, journalists of our time” takes on his biggest subject yet–the increasingly dangerous role of religion in the world. In the tradition of Bertrand Russell’s Why I Am Not a Christian and Sam Harris’s recent bestseller, The End Of Faith, Christopher Hitchens makes the ultimate case against religion. With a close and erudite reading of the major religious texts, he documents the ways in which religion is a man-made wish, a cause of dangerous sexual repression, and a distortion of our origins in the cosmos. With eloquent clarity, Hitchens frames the argument for a more secular life based on science and reason, in which hell is replaced by the Hubble Telescope’s awesome view of the universe, and Moses and the burning bush give way to the beauty and symmetry of the double helix.
