Book Synopsis The Kingdom of the Beast and the End of the World by : J. C. Alexander
Download or read book The Kingdom of the Beast and the End of the World written by J. C. Alexander and published by RevelationStation.com. This book was released on 2005-04 with total page 390 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Authoritative, bold and different. The final word on prophecy. Written in everyday language. It's not often that a book comes along that causes you to reexamine everything that you have ever learned on a particular subject. In a manner reminiscent of The Prayer of Jabez and The Purpose Driven Live, The Kingdom of the Beast takes you on a journey of enlightenment that will leave you satisfied that you finally understood what the end time prophecies are all about. There are no magic formulas for interpreting the prophecies other than accepting what is written. This book convincingly, and scripturally, moves the reader beyond some of the traditional man made ideas that have confused the Church and kept it from coming to a unified understanding of the prophecies, and then opens things up witha down to earth simplicity.
Download or read book Beasts of the Deep written by Jon Hackett and published by Indiana University Press. This book was released on 2018-01-10 with total page 241 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Beasts of the Deep: Sea Creatures and Popular Culture offers its readers an in-depth and interdisciplinary engagement with the sea and its monstrous inhabitants; through critical readings of folklore, weird fiction, film, music, radio and digital games. Within the text there are a multitude of convergent critical perspectives used to engage and explore fictional and real monsters of the sea in media and folklore. The collection features chapters from a variety of academic perspectives; post- modernism, psychoanalysis, industrial-organisational analysis, fandom studies, sociology and philosophy are featured. Under examination are a wide range of narratives and media forms that represent, reimagine and create the Kraken, mermaids, giant sharks, sea draugrs and even the weird creatures of H.P. Lovecraft. Beasts of the Deep offers an expansive study of our sea-born fears and anxieties, that are crystallised in a variety of monstrous forms. Repeatedly the chapters in the collection encounter the contemporary relevance of our fears of the sea and its inhabitants – through the dehumanising media depictions of refugees in the Mediterranean to the encroaching ecological disasters of global warming, pollution and the threat of mass marine extinction.
Book Synopsis The Revelation of Jesus Christ by : Jon Scott Birch
Download or read book The Revelation of Jesus Christ written by Jon Scott Birch and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2022-09-21 with total page 325 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy” (Rev 19:10) and a prophetic perspective promotes purpose. Yet in a world swiftly growing callous, true purpose and meaning are fading. Many of Jesus’ disciples today have “lost their first love,” which is Jesus himself (Rev 2:4). And too many souls overall miss the wonder, inspiration, and comfort gained by those who would endeavor toward fuller comprehension of the book of Revelation: “Blessed are they who read and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near” (Rev 1:3). Neglect of the Holy Spirit, slothfulness, fear, and the ongoing confusion generated by competing interpretations and bad theology are the primary obstacles between an individual and the liberation to be had by reading the last book of the Bible. We must not forget that while the apostle John wrote the book of Revelation, its author is Jesus Christ, and he is not an author of confusion but of peace (1 Cor 14:33). This commentary presents a practical, discipleship-based perspective toward following Jesus into the very heart of his Revelation. So as the end of this clamorous age approaches, may we truly hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches!

Although they originally formed to combat large corporations who showed little or no regard for the environment, they have recently decided to wage a world war against all poachers and big game hunters, as well as anybody in the world that targets any animals for sport, all in the name of Mother Nature. Leading the charge are two friends, Todd Styles (aka Rodin, ) a Vietnam draft dodger who has become a leader in the international eco-terrorist group and Buzz Murdoch, a Hippie stoner living in Jamaica with his sidekick: a 1600-pound Bumble Bee Grouper. Blood of the Beast interweaves Rodin's life of eco-terrorism, murder, and revenge with Buzz's laidback peace-loving existence, ultimately bringing them together to fight a common enemy. Le Gang de la Clé de Singe encounters many enemies, from elephant poachers in Africa to Japanese whalers in the Antarctic. Their targets range from a pro- football cheerleader to a Nazi sympathizer to a wealthy ex-presidential candidate and his family. Members of Le Gang de la Clé de Singe always leave a special calling card: a yellow flag emblazoned with a black skull and crossed wrenches hung around their victim's neck. They are ruthless and show no mercy, be it man or woman there are no exceptions. Book Synopsis Revelation and the Mark of the Beast by : Z. Richard Sawan M.D.
Download or read book Revelation and the Mark of the Beast written by Z. Richard Sawan M.D. and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2011-08-17 with total page 242 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: No longer do I want you to be afraid of Revelation as I was but rather embrace the inevitable future that God has planned for us. This book is a passport to the future of humanity and will explain the end-times in simple ways, for the most part, based on Biblical interpretation and not on widely accepted views or mine. Most of the prevalent views on Revelation that you have learnt or learning are incorrect. Not knowing the future with respect to God's plan could jeopardize the timing of your salvation which could put one in the receiving end of God's plagues. Revelation was written for us today in the end-times and not for the Jews and ancient Romans 2000 years ago. This book will prove this to be true beyond a shadow of a doubt. Revelation cannot be interpreted without key scriptures in books in the Old Testament thus proving that there is divine intervention in the Bible as a whole. It is impossible for different human authors to write so many different books with hundreds to thousands of years in between and have the same conclusions and interpretations. IMPOSSIBLE. We are presently near the end of the Great Tribulation with the Day of our Lord fast approaching. Already five of the seven seals have been opened with the sixth approaching rapidly. The beast of Revelation chapter 13 is alive and well and the mark of the beast is already in use. A limited nuclear war is on the horizon and world domination by the Son of Satan by means of a 200 million-man army would follow. There is good news though. Read this book.

Chapter seven starts with the judgments contained in the Seven Sealed Book. The end result of these Judgments is to destroy the power and institutions of the Devil. After the judgments are completed, the millennium will start and finally the establishment of the New Heaven and the New Earth which will last forever. Born near Cleveland Georgia shortly after World War I, Dr. Barrett grew up on a farm during the Depression Era. When W.W. II broke out, he enlisted with the U.S. Air Force and served in the South Pacific Theater; It was during the war he felt the Lord beckon him to His service. Once stateside he married his sister's best friend, fathered a son, moved to Chattanooga, TN and entered Tennessee Temple University and Seminary. He graduated in 1960. Following graduation he was engaged with T.T.U. for 31 years teaching Bible and History. During these years he began a series of prophet conferences and week-long revivals focusing on the Book of Revelation. While engaged in these events his name recognition grew and attendees began requesting he write a book explaining Revelation; that the lay person could read and understand. While the idea intrigued him, his time to devote to it was limited because of his other duties. After his retirement, his wife, Bernice encouraged him to write that book to fulfill those requests. This is the book you now hold. During his retirement he has continued teaching, Bible, in extension education classes for adults in his North Georgia community, and will continue so long as the Lord is willing for him to do so.
