In recent years, basset hounds have increasingly been used as therapy dogs because of their naturally gentle and good-natured dispositions. However, because of their stubborness, they are rarely used as service-work dogs. Sir Romeo Beau knows how to use this unique trait and is one of the first basset hound service-work doggies in the United States. When James and Rosemary adopted Sir Romeo, they quickly found that their new family member was extra special. He had a natural inclination toward the tasks that would help Rosemary, who copes with disabilities, function more safely and confidently in her daily life. Sir Romeo Beau went on to become an officially trained service-work doggie, trained by By Your Side Inc., a nonprofit organization. In this book, and the others that his daddy is helping him write, he seeks to educate children and adults about the important work he does. Follow Sir Romeo as he works to help keep his mommy safe and bring awareness to the joys and struggles that officially trained service-work doggies deal with every day! A rhyming picture book for children, The Adventures of Sir Romeo Beau entertains while at the same time teaches about the important role officially trained service-work dogs play in the world.

Download or read book The Adventures of Sir Romeo Beau written by JR Pullen and published by Jr Pullen. This book was released on 2016-07-27 with total page 44 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sir Romeo Beau Basset Hound is one of the very first Basset Hound Service Work Doggies around. This makes him an extremely 'unique' Basset Hound. Sir Romeo has been very fascinating to the public however; while being that, he is always focused and adorable all the time he is out working. That is why he's such a little celebrity. These STORIES and ADVENTURES are about the two of them and how little Sir Romeo, in need of a wonderful new forever home went from being an adorable little hound, adopted from the Sun Coast Basset Rescue, to becoming my wife's little 'hero.' The book itself is basically a combination children/adult Service Work Dog awareness book as told by Romeo's point of view (he is an officially trained service work dog) and travels everywhere with my disabled wife.

Book Synopsis Stories By Famous Authors Illustrated by : Various
Download or read book Stories By Famous Authors Illustrated written by Various and published by Seaboard Publishing. This book was released on 2014-08-16 with total page 605 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Stories By Famous Authors illustrated was a 1950s, 13 issues series of adaptations from literature. Stories were usually 32 pages with two or three text stories at the end of the issue. Issues #1 through #5 were reprints of Fast Fiction with different covers, put out a year earlier. Stories By Famous Authors has some great history (and covers) on it's front page, "This series was first produced by Seaboard Publishing as Fast Fiction and provided competition for the more well known series, Classics Illustrated. The series used some of the same artists as that series, including the well known and very well regarded Henry Carl Keifer. Clearly Albert Kanter, the Father of the Classics Illustrated series wasn’t impressed to have another publisher muscling in on his idea and was also angered that Keifer was also churning out some of the Seaboard stories - Hamlet and She refer - and so Kanter bought the upstart in 1951...In fact, if you own The Red Badge of Courage, number 98 in the Classics Illustrated series, then you have what was planned to be number 14 in the series from Stories by Famous Authors and was purchased by Gilberton at the same time as the purchase of the publishing rights for the 13 issued. That is why The Red Badge is only 32 pages long..."
