Book excerpt: Drawing wisdom from the Zohar, this short kabbalistic text redefines this legendary period of time as a window for individuals and communities to reach "messiah consciousness." That means it's up to people, not some celestial savior, to ignite global change. All the natural disasters poverty, revolutions, anarchy, are wake-up calls to a fragmented humanity. The end is near, but as Yehuda explains this really means "the end of dominance of the human ego. In its place we will experience the unleashing of our true selves - the illuminated human soul." There must be a critical mass, a certain threshold of transformation to capitalize on this window, and when that occurs, the peoples of the world will function as one body while still appreciating our differences. Our collective minds have the power to bring an end to negative consciousness and birth a new existence right now.

Many are searching for something, not knowing what because our lives feel empty and meaningless, resulting in many using drugs or alcohol as a temporary relief from this feeling, a means of escape. This book helps us to read the "sign posts" that should not be switched off by pain killers, anti depressants, or drugs but which can be used to guide us to the root cause of physical, mental or emotional illnesses, to listen to our bodies, to understand the underlying cause of their problems and provides the solutions to really turn our lives around. It uses psychology, meditation, visualisation and prayer, enabling the harnessing of healing powers to remove the blockages preventing complete abundance in every area of our lives. This book provides the tools to find self love, personal growth, happiness, success, physical health and emotional healing and can be used to remove negative karma, whether in this life or previous lives, entrenched habits, negative characteristics or anxieties. It shows how to use ancient symbols such as those in Egypt, sacred geometry, the sacred names of the Angels and God and the teachings of the great Atlantean Thoth. It enables enlightenment and the reaching of "heaven on earth" by using the gifted Ancient Knowledge, regardless of denomination, faith, belief, colour or creed. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Christians face a conundrum when it comes to naming God, for if God is unnamable, as theologians maintain, he can also be called by every name. His proper name is thus an open-ended, all-encompassing list, a mystery the Church embraces in its rhetoric, but which many Christians have found difficult to accept. To explore this conflict, Valentina Izmirlieva examines two lists of God’s names: one from The Divine Names, the classic treatise by Pseudo-Dionysius, and the other from The 72 Names of the Lord, an amulet whose history binds together Kabbalah and Christianity, Jews and Slavs, Palestine, Provence, and the Balkans. This unexpected juxtaposition of a theological treatise and a magical amulet allows Izmirlieva to reveal lists’ rhetorical potential to create order and to function as both tools of knowledge and of power. Despite the two different visions of order represented by each list, Izmirlieva finds that their uses in Christian practice point to a complementary relationship between the existential need for God’s protection and the metaphysical desire to submit to his infinite majesty—a compelling claim sure to provoke discussion among scholars in many fields.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Michael Servetus participated in the Protestant Reformation and translated the Hebrew Bible into Latin. In July 1531, he published his De Trinitatis Erroribus (On the Errors of the Trinity) in which he explained clearly that the Trinity was a 3-headed monster. Accordingly, Catholics and Protestants alike condemned him. He was then arrested in Geneva and burnt at the stake as a heretic by order of the city's Protestant governing council. This book was translated into English only in 1932, but still worse, the main arguments from part V were completely distorted. For example he explained that God's name was Iehouah because in Hebrew this name was close to the name of Iesuah (Jesus), or Iehosuah, which means "Iehouah is salvation". He also knew that according to Paulus de Heredia, a Christian Cabbalist, the meaning of God's name was "He causes to be" (yehauueh), but he never confused the pronunciation of God's name with its Kabbalistic meaning (yehaweh). For Servetus, Iehouah was the only true God.

The fourth edition, thoroughly revised and updated by Peter W. Williams, draws on the latest scholarship. In addition to reconsidering the history of America's mainline faiths, it delves into contemporary issues like religion's impact on politics and commerce; the increasingly high profile of Buddhism, Hinduism, and Islam; Mormonism's entry into the mainstream; and battles over gay marriage and ordination.
