Book excerpt: Meru is referred to, talked about, heard of, compared to, and discussed about without exception in all books and discourses of religions in Bharat. Meru is regarded as the tallest and most pious mountain, having abodes of all Gods and Semi-Gods of all faiths. Unfortunately, nobody can confidently pinpoint the place of Meru in spite of indicative addresses available in scriptures. Generally, Hindus believe it to be beyond Himalayas; Buddhists say it is in Tibet; Jains say it exists, but it cannot be seen. This is because of unsatisfactory solutions to its conflicting descriptions. For example, the Sun never sets on Meru but does set at the base of it. In this book, satisfactory solutions have been explained with convincing reasons. Establishing Meru on the equator at "Bhugol Madhye," the author ventures to replace Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) with Meru Mean Time (MMT) for the reasons based on his findings. Also, the myth of fourteen Ratnas (Gems) coming out during ‘Samudra Manthan’– churning of the ocean has been explained in a lucid manner. Meru no longer remains a matter of miracle, myth or mystery but a history.

Book excerpt: Surya Namaskar is a magical name in Indian history and now becoming popular all over the world, it has become a global household name. Surya Namaskar has many references in the Vedas and Puranas. Since that time this yoga has been practiced by many people all over the world. To begin one’s day with the Surya Namaskar is very beneficial as it connects the individual with the cosmos. Out of so many people interested in yoga and spirituality some persons have taken Suryanamaskar as their life style. One such person is Krzysztof Stec from Poland who loves this practice. I remember that as soon as he arrived at Vishwatmak Jangli Maharaj Ashram almost 10 years ago he was talking about and encouraging everyone to start practicing Suryanamaskar. He has been practicing it every day for many years, and in a little more than two hours he performs in excess of 1008 rounds of Suryanamaskar. Such feat is astonishing and worth praising. He has built tremendous stamina and extraordinary endurance over the years with such regular and disciplined practice. The medical practitioners in the nearby town of Kopargaon have examined him and came to conclusion that he has the physiological parameters of 25 year old youngster (as of today he is running 59 years old). Only two years ago he completed a demanding two years’ master degree program at the department of physical education at one of the primary universities of India, at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. There he had to compete and work-out with colleagues who were one third his age! Last year when he undertook 42 days’ complete fast for the Gurupurnima (anusthan), he began without water (or any food) and continued for full 23 days and later, to complete the fast, he drank only water. In spite of such severe tapasya (discipline and austerity), when most other people usually stay in bed and barely move or to help themselves get several I.V., he was so energetic and full of vitality that he was swimming daily the distance of 5 to 8 kilometers.

Book excerpt: Yoga is a pride possession of our great Indian tradition. Yog knowledge can offer the lightest goal and bliss of life. An anthology of the discourses were expounded by Prashant Iyengar which have been presented here in a book form. Pranayama is a compound word meaning Prana 'Vital Energy' and Ayama 'Control and Regulation'. But it is not basically breath-control or breath-regulation. Pranayama needs a lot of study of breath usages, applications and Addressals by-on-in-with breath. Pranayama is the vital energy, which apparently distinguishes animate and inanimate or living and non-living creation. The animate things are believed to be breathing is characteristic to the bio-world or living creations. This breath oscillation in human beings signifies the existence of Prana in the embodiment. The departure of Prana marks the end of re-spiration and death of the living being. This book provides a classical and traditional approach towards life by breath control with different type of asnas. This differentiates between physiology of respiration that comes in body-science and physiology of breathing that occurs in the science of yog. According to the book the entire human embodiment is a breathing organism, even inner, outer, physical, psycho-mental, psychic, gross and subtle and esoteric organs, senses and constitutions. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The primary purpose of this book is to foster further study into the field of Sun Yoga for practitioners who have already taken the beginner course of Sunyoga India™. Having the practical experience will dramatically improve the understanding of the book. This been said, however, it is important to note that Essence of Sun Yoga speaks to everyone, even the uninitiated. It describes all 29 chakras in the human body through the knowledge that its author, Sunyogi Umasankar Ji, received from Mahavatar Babaji during his two meetings with him in 2007 and 2008. Unique to the book are its descriptions of the higher chakras and connection to higher siddhis (yogic extraordinary powers such as the ability to live without food, immortality etc.), as well as the subtle bodies beyond the Samadhi Chakra, which is the end goal of the Ashtanga Yoga from Patanjali. The reader will thus get to know the practical techniques for Sun Yoga and learn how to practice it safely. Before starting actual practice with the Sun we suggest you follow the advice of an experienced practitioner to help you follow the technique in a correct and safe manner. Sun Yoga will help you balance all the five elements at the same time, reducing the time for spiritual advancement dramatically compared to techniques where only one element is in focus. By adapting the techniques described in this book and applying a lot of patience and willpower, and by following your heart's feelings, you will have the opportunity to reach self-realization and higher enlightenment stages. The book also provides a deeper insight in yoga in general, since the author is well versed with the ancient scriptures and has the skillset to easily explain these symbolic texts and their practical implications for practicing the yoga of today. Through the use of stories, Sunyogi makes the reader familiar with certain situations in life, providing the right instruments to interpret and experience in a positive way life’s occurrences. Furthermore, the book demonstrates how Sunyoga as a spiritual practice can have a greater impact on the future of humanity; it explains key aspects like Creation, procreation and Cosmology and how they are connected to our everyday life. The author’s intention when writing this book was to enlighten and help readers realize that peace at the individual level is connected to universal peace. The real understanding of this truth can only be attained by practical experience. Theory alone cannot give you the solution to your problems. Eventually you will have to put into practice what you learn, so that this book is really meant to serve you as an inspiration. Sun Yoga is for the sake of humanity, it aims to create unity and brotherhood. All humans are welcome to come and practice regardless of race, cast, color, country or religion. Be aware that this is the first and only book (Ali Ribelli Edizioni, 2018) written in English about Sunyoga India™ approved by the author for worldwide sale and distribution. Any other book published under the name of Sunyogi Umasankar Ji might be fraudulent and might have inadequate teachings.
