Book excerpt: Billions of years ago, the universe came into existence with a "Big Bang." The creation of the universe is the single paramount event from which all other events precipitate, and why it happened is the greatest mystery we have ever known. On the tiniest of scales, the cosmos reveals to us a universe filled with quanta particles; and on the largest, a universe of planets, stars, galaxies, and life. The expanse is endless. Are we then to believe ourselves alone in the vastness of creation, or to solely occupy the crown of it? In 1975, Corky Ra, an administrative manager for a large supply company, began to experience a series of encounters with advanced beings. His first reactions of shock and disbelief led him to a period of seclusion, yet the "visits" continued, leading him to an awakening. Ra realized it was the purpose of these beings to re-introduce, in a pure form, principles of nature that have always existed and address all issues of existence, sexuality, and death. SUMMUM: Sealed Except to the Open Mind is about existence in its broadest context and delves into the forces behind cosmic rhythms and change. Most importantly, it describes a meditation for developing a personal relationship with the essence of nature. This is the second edition of a work first published in 1988 and contains illustrations. Make this book your companion and venture to get a glimpse of the inner workings of Creation.

Book Synopsis Summum Unum. The Diversity Of Life by : Gebhard Deissler
Download or read book Summum Unum. The Diversity Of Life written by Gebhard Deissler and published by GRIN Verlag. This book was released on 2011 with total page 33 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Scientific Essay from the year 2010 in the subject Cultural Studies - Miscellaneous, course: Interkulturelles Management, language: English, abstract: The summum really is life itself, nothing can be added to it. Out of its bosom emerges the infinity of diversity. In it all diversity remains united, however diverse it may be. If the manifestations of the one as the many cannot be solved satisfactorily, a return to the one or the memory of the one is necessary to recreate the unity which is still latent in diversity and in which it can remerge and reintegrate and effect individual, social and global integrity. The Supreme One, Summum Unum, call it God, Verbum, Way, Truth or Life reigns supremely over the diversity which it has produced. The rediscovery of life as the universal integrator can be a supreme cultural panacea, simple because all comes from it and is contained in it. Nothing that lives is outside of it. Everything converges in it, has its place in it. The relearning of the way of life itself, the retuning to it naturally integrates the diversity it has produced. All diversity has been, is and will be integrated in life. The more culture comes to the fore, the more life must be affirmed as the unifier of cultural diversity. True diversity management consists in the appropriate management of the one, its effective leverage, because diversity only is its outer appearance.

Book Synopsis Augustine, Manichaeism and the Good by : Kam-Lun Edwin Lee
Download or read book Augustine, Manichaeism and the Good written by Kam-Lun Edwin Lee and published by Universal-Publishers. This book was released on 1997 with total page 236 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Wickedness and mortality are deemed to be both spiritually and physically evil in Manichaean terms because they disturb a person's tranquil existence. In his non-metaphysical theory he designs to explain intrinsic personal evil developed in De uera religione (390), Augustine redefines these two notions as "sin" and "penalty," hence imposing on them a casual relation that makes the conception of a vicious circle mechanism possible.
Book Synopsis Peter Abelard: Collationes by : Peter Abelard
Download or read book Peter Abelard: Collationes written by Peter Abelard and published by Clarendon Press. This book was released on 2001-02-15 with total page 374 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Peter Abelard (1079-1142) is widely recognized as one of the most important writers of the twelfth century, famed for his skill in logic as well as his romance with Heloise. Even among Abelard's writings, the Collationes - or Dialogue between a Christian, a Philosopher, and a Jew - are remarkable for their daring and intellectual imaginativeness. Written probably c.1130, the work contains the fullest exposition of many aspects of abelard's ethics, the only statement of his unusual eschatological theory, and some of his most interesting ideas about faith and the relationship between theism and revealed religion This is the first full critical edition of the Collationes. Based on an entirely new collation of the manuscripts, it provides a facing-page English translation, detailed notes, and an extensive historical and philosophical introduction.
