He married Elizabeth Cocke on April 17, 1794. She was a daughter of Pleasant Cocke. This couple had five children, four daughters and one son, George Turner Pyle (1800- 1881). George Turner Pyle married Nancy Anise Gordon (1806-1886) 1823. The Pyle family migrated to Iowa in the early 1850's. The Sexton family migrated from Ohio to Indiana and later to Iowa. Descendants live in Iowa, Arizona, Oregon, Montana and elsewhere.
