Every gift involves a giver and a recipient. Who or what is the giver? As recipient, I can either accept or reject the gift. What does that mean? Am I a blip in the evolutionary process, or am I a creature burdened or blessed with a purpose in life? And what does that mean?

Never did anything like this in my life. As God would give me little titles I would wright them on paper which I kept in my pocket. Then most times within a week or two it would end up as a sermon in poetic form. This book covers multiple subjects which each of us face in life. This book is designed for whoever reads this book, to cause you to think things out, and then to form your own thinking as how God would have you process it. The emphasis of this book is to read and study it with an open mind, as you study the scriptures on your own. The reason there are few scriptures in this book is to cause you to want to search the scriptures yourself, to prove whether it is right or wrong. That is why God’s word informs us in 2 Timothy 2: 15, “Study to show thyself approved unto God a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” This scripture informs us that we are to study God’s word in order to find what God requires of us, what he empresses on our heart as taught by Jesus to us in Matthew 25: 14-30. When we read and study God’s Word, read it with an open mind, asking him what he has for you today. We will never know it all, for we will keep learning till Jesus comes, or we leave this earth. Never allow people to put a guilt trip on you that you must know it all.

Book excerpt: Most of us settle. We live average, safe, mediocre lives. But does that kind of living reflect what God has called us to? The abundant life that Jesus promised his followers is nothing less than amazing when we realize that God is working in us so that we may “be conformed to the image of his Son” (Romans 8:29). Jesus did not live an ordinary life, and nor should we! Walk on Water invites believers to rise above the norm. This daily devotional takes a fresh look at the Word of God. Be inspired by the lives of Esther, Daniel, Jonah, and others. Be challenged with Jesus’ no-nonsense conversations with the Pharisees and the disciples. Be emboldened through the honest emotions that pour from the hearts of the writers of the Psalms. In addition to daily devotionals, twelve true stories (experienced by Deb herself) are added at the end of each month to encourage and humor the soul.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Most of us at one time have said, or thought, something like: “So I procrastinate, it’s not like it’s hurting anyone!” “Enough about you, back to me.” “I deserve this, so I’m treating myself!” “If I can’t have it, she shouldn’t either.” “I’ll get around to it... or not.” “It’s not really gossip if it’s all true, right?” (And the granddaddy of them all) “But that doesn’t make me a bad person!” Are these really sins, you ask? After all, they’re not murder, theft, or violence. Don’t they just mean we’re human? Writer, speaker, and blogger Elizabeth Scalia takes a look at thirteen of these “little sins” that, if left unexamined and unconfessed, can have a serious impact on our spiritual lives and relationship with Christ. Through her honest (and sometimes funny) examination of these same sins in her own life, as well as Church teaching on each one, she helps us ask ourselves the tough questions, and the tools to kick these bad habits before they kick us.

Book excerpt: Renowned in the blogosphere as The Anchoress and as Catholic Portal editor of the popular Patheos.com, Elizabeth Scalia offers a powerful critique of the “gods” we worship today, reminding readers that life’s deepest desires can be satisfied only in Christ. Strange Gods, Scalia's debut book, is packed full of the iconoclastic vim and vigor that has won her a large, faithful Internet following. She presents readers with a surprising look at the ways in which modern people still commit the sin of idolatry in their everyday lives. While literal golden calves no longer dot the landscape, Scalia describes how legitimate loves become obsessively twisted into idols. She unmasks idolatry in a number of everyday experiences—friendships that become needy or possessive, commitments political and religious that grow so intense they lead to hatred of others, to name a few—and points to the incarnation of Christ and authentic worship of him as a way out of idolatry and into peace, happiness, and love.

She is the daughter of the late Roy and Virginia Sneed-the fourteenth of their fifteen children. At age twenty-eight, Katrenia began preaching the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The year was 1981. Since that time, she has been in demand as an inspirational conference speaker, evangelist, Bible teacher and workshop facilitator. Katrenia has written several inspirational articles which were published in Christian magazines in the United States and abroad, but A Woman's Place In A Man's World is her first book. With the scholarly and insightful assistance of a lot of good men and women, she takes us on a spiritual quest from Genesis to Revelation-traveling through time and history-in search of the "elusive territory" labeled in 19 th Century America as "the Appropriate Sphere of Woman," a.k.a. "a woman's place." The author invites you to join her on this quest. "Put on your 'thinking cap' and consider what is said, when it was said, why it was said, and more importantly, who said it. As Paul said to Timothy, 'Consider what I say, and the Lord give you understanding.' That's the goal: understanding the Truth. For it is the Truth that sets us free to become all that God called us to be."

Book excerpt: An exploration of the way Adam and Eve introduced the idea of love into the world, and how they continue to shape our deepest feelings about relationships, family, and togetherness. Since antiquity, Adam and Eve have stood at the center of every conversation about men and women. Yet instead of celebrating them, history has blamed them for bringing sin, deceit, and death into the world. In this fresh retelling of their story, Bruce Feiler travels from the Garden of Eden in Iraq to the Sistine Chapel in Rome, discovering how Adam and Eve should be hailed as exemplars of a long-term, healthy, resilient relationship. At a time of discord and fear over the strength of our social fabric, Feiler shows how history's first couple can again be role models for unity, forgiveness, and love.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The two books contained in this volume are considered by many scholars to be part of the "Pseudepigrapha" and form part of “The Forgotten Books of Eden” edited by Rutherford H. Platt, Jr. These books are a written account of what happened to Adam and Eve in the days of after they were cast out of the Garden of Eden. The First Book of Adam and Eve details the life and times of Adam and Eve in the period immediately following their expulsion from the Garden of Eden to the time that Cain slays his brother Abel. It tells of Adam and Eve's first dwelling in the Cave of Treasures; their trials and temptations; and of Satan's many apparitions to them. It also tells of the birth of Cain, Abel, and their twin sisters; and of Cain's love for his beautiful twin sister, Luluwa, whom Adam and Eve wished to be joined to Abel The Second Book of Adam and Eve gives an account of the life and times of Cain and his twin Sister Luluwa after they went away until the time that Enoch was taken by God. The "Pseudepigrapha" is a collection of historical biblical works that are considered to be fiction. Because of this, this book was not included in the compilation of the Christian Bible. Although considered to be Pseudepigrapha by some, it carries significant meaning and insight into events of that time. In order to put these two books into perspective, one has to ask how, and why, these writings have survived through the centuries and if they are as unsubstantial as many righteous scholars claim them to be?

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: God Is All There Is and The Devil Does Not Exist seeks to bring about awareness and remind us of Who We Really Are; for God is All There Is and there is No-thing else. There is only One-Consciousness that has individuated It-self and, thusly, there is no Devil in absolute form (as is taught and projected by many). All That Is, existed in a state of being, without the means to express Its being; in a state of being, God is No-thing unto Himself. Out of this conceptual knowing, God/All That Is longed to express, explore and experience It-self for what It knows It-self to be. And so the No-Thing created Some-Thing/Some-Form (all of creation), as a means or device(s), through which It can express, explore and experience It-self fully and abundantly. We live in a world driven by fear, scarcity, competition, chaos, pain, struggle, confusion and discord. It is my firm conviction that all these factors have been born and taken root because we have forgotten, Who We Really Are. God Is All There Is and The Devil Does Not Exist is directed to all the men and women around the globe, who are entangled in shackles of fear, constructed by mythical beliefs and teachings about God and the mock Devil, which have been served to us for eons. The message I bring seeks to liberate and unchain us from these restraints. "So that we can live freely and express, explore and experience That Which Is within more fully and abundantly."

If you can,t find it just know there is no such thing as bad luck or accident. All is Gods will. There is always something. Ask God. Know always, God helps." Yes, I know the answer to Tommys question. I accepted it initially without doubt. Gods heavenly spirit flows out into us all, with the truth. The Mystical experience will lead to the making of a new generation of Great Grandmasters. They will be Christ bearers, to the world in the future. Tommy must carry on. It was so ironic that Tommys father had been a top-notch policeman. Then Tommy had to watch his mother being killed by a policeman. What meaning, psychic or otherwise could I get from it? I guess the answer to that might lie in the fact that God is concerned about making our souls perfect. Tommy would need to gain the faith to make his limitations become possibilities and turn his fears into unconditional love. Years ago, I was training Tommys father, in martial arts and he asked me to ride with him from midnight till 8 AM. He was the only sheriffs deputy in the county, of 500 square miles, on the road. It was not like today when you dont pull up on a dangerous situation without backup. Bar fights, domestics, robberies, and what ever, you responded to alone. The tactics that Tommys father used, would get him fired today. We got a call that a boy had a gun and was shooting up a small town that had no police protection. Tommys father turned on his flashers and started to respond to the call. I could tell by the way he was driving that he was using his intuitive talents. All at once he hit the brakes, and pulled the car to the side of the road. He said. "You drive." I was not a sheriffs deputy and did not have any right to drive that vehicle. Tommys father wouldve been fired if the Sheriff found out. I drove, and he meditated. I knew Tommys father was heading for trouble not just by disobeying the rules, but also if anything went wrong, no one would believe his story. Tommys father would never be able to explain that he was using his sixth sense to link with the higher realms of perception, and God Almighty. He must have read my mind. He said to me. "I have to try to save that boys life! I am receiving an energy that is higher in vibration and totally spiritual. God Almighty has a reason for that boy to live." He picked up my coat that was laying in the back seat and put it on, covering his uniform. The boy was last seen on Main Street in the downtown area. Tommys dad directed me to turn and drive towards the school. As I did it came over the radio. Someone shot back at the kid, from an upstairs window. The kid ran towards the school. As we got close to the school Tommys father jumped out of the cruiser and ran towards the playground area. I followed on foot. I know that most people will not believe what Im about to say. Before the end of the story youll understand how this happened, because Tommy is so much like his dad, in reaching into the depths of the unknown. The boy pointed the gun at Tommys father. Tommys father said. "Im on your side. I come to fight the evil." The boy raised the gun pointing it. He fired over Tommys fathers left shoulder. Tommys father was walking towards the kid and did not stop. He said in a loving voice. "You got it! Put the gun down, your safe." Tommys father was staring into the eyes of the kid as he continued to walk towards him. The boy handed the gun to him. Tommys father placed his hand on the kids shoulder. I could see the healing energy of Ki or Spirit transfer to the young boy. We walked back to the cruiser, and the boy said, crying. "I dont know what happened. All I
