Now there is a new take on this beloved story. In her book, Straw, Sticks, or Bricks? Three Pigs Choose, author Sara S. Odom uses rhythm and rhyme to capture the imaginations of young, old, and beginning readers. When their mother tells pigs Tig, Lig, and Zig to build their own homes, they each go out on a quest to find the building material that best suits their desires. Children will enjoy the personalities of Tig, Lig, and Zig Pig as they try to escape the paws of Zany Wolf, the hideous and frightful wolf. How can we take into account the consequences of calling something law when we shape the concept of law in the first place? How does international arbitration help to illustrate the problem? This book is an investigation into stateless law, illustrated by international arbitration regimes. It addresses key philosophical questions posed by international arbitration as a potential path to law beyond the state. It ascertains which dimensions of transnational legality arbitral regimes conform to, and what consequences follow from it. The argument of this book is firmly rooted in contemporary legal positivism and is attentive to current debates regarding the rule of law to ponder legality without territory. A theory is suggested regarding the minimal conditions that transnational regimes must fulfil in order to legitimately and appropriately count as law. The theory is tested on various arbitral regimes. The book thus offers reflections on the extent to which legality and the rule of law can serve as a moral and political benchmark for transnational regimes, to assess the political morality of arbitration's current autonomy from states and what arbitration's claim for an increase in that autonomy implies.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is comprised of poems and reflections that the Lord has given me over the past few years. Finding that so many need to wake up to the fact that the Lord is coming back soon, I have felt an urgency for others to read and hear what, I feel, comes from the heart of God. We don’t know when He will return for His own, but He has called me to do my part in sharing His love and His Word with those who will hear… I began writing poetry as my mother-in-law lay in the hospital in Elkhart, Indiana… just days before going home to meet her Lord Jesus, whom she loved and served for over 60 years of her life. Even though I knew her for only four short years, during that time she inspired a longing in me to know my Lord better and to draw closer to Him. As a result, my Father in heaven began pouring into me words that became poems and songs… Some of the poems may make you laugh, some may make you cry, but they will all make you THINK!
