L'ensemble de ces manifestations ont porté sur deux évolutions remarquables du droit de la construction observées au cours de ces dernières années, à savoir : les statuts et les responsabilités des édificateurs. En effet, les activités des architectes, entrepreneurs et promoteurs sont de plus en plus régies par des règles spécifiques que les intéressés ne peuvent plus ignorer sous peine de s'exposer à des risques majeurs en cas d'inobservation des prescriptions rigoureuses et impératives qu'elles consacrent. La multiplication de ces normes, dont le champ d'application porte sur la nature même de l'intervention de chacun des édificateurs, a constitué progressivement le fondement de véritables statuts pour ceux-ci. À la suite d'une telle évolution, il a semblé également intéressant d'en mesurer les conséquences sur les responsabilités de ces professionnels et les divers régimes d'assurance qui les couvrent.
