Whilst it supports payments made on environmental grounds, concerns are noted regarding the effects of agri-environmental schemes. The report also discusses the proposals for the Mid-Term Review of the Common Agricultural Policy, which it intends to examine in more detail in a later inquiry. A second volume of the report is also available, which contains minutes of evidence and memoranda taken before the Committee.
