Book Synopsis Your Forever Home by : Robert Fisher
Download or read book Your Forever Home written by Robert Fisher and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2022-10-18 with total page 179 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book is a dive deep into the world of angels and spirits. Robert and Alice never expected their experiences to happen but happen they did. Shortly after their marriage, many unusually problems came to the surface causing Alice to suffer a breakdown that required hospitalization. Alice recovered, but no explanation for the cause of her breakdown was ever offered by her doctors. In the hope that further problems could be adverted, Robert and Alice, falling back on their comparative religion backgrounds, researched what similar kinds of breakdowns might explain what had happened to Alice. Their findings indicated the possibility of an experience affecting new tribal shamans in many parts of the world, called "Spirit sickness". This realization started the couple on an extended investigation into the world of spirits which lasted several years. During this investigation the couple met angels, spirit guides and others who blessing them with a vast quantity of knowledge and spiritual understanding. The couple also encountered demons, which had to be bravely confronted and defeated. The upshot of this work is their book, which documents for the first time a careful investigation of the world of spirit that all of us will inherit and someday be a part of.

Book Synopsis Destiny Or Chance by : Stuart Ross Taylor
Download or read book Destiny Or Chance written by Stuart Ross Taylor and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2000-10-25 with total page 256 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Written by a leading planetary scientist, this engaging book tells the remarkable story of how our solar system came into existence and provides an expert tour of the Earth, its planetary neighbors and other planetary systems. In a whirlwind adventure, we explore how the formation of mighty Jupiter dominated the solar system, why Mars is so small, where comets come from, how rings form around planets, why asteroids exist and why Pluto isn't a planet at all. En route, we discover the role of chance events in shaping the course of the history of our solar system. Dramatic collisions, for example, caused the tilts and spins of the planets, the extinction of the dinosaurs and the rise of man. Finally, we look at how suitable Earth is for harboring life, what other planetary systems look like and whether we are alone in the cosmos. For all those interested in understanding our solar system and its place in the cosmos, this is a lucid and compelling read. Stuart Taylor is the recipient of numerous academic awards, including the Norman L. Bowen Award from the American Geophysical Union for his important contributions to our understanding of the origins and early history of the Earth and Moon. In 1997, Asteroid 5670 was named Rosstaylor in his honor. He is the author of Solar System Evolution (Cambridge, 1992).

Download or read book A Crust of Bread written by S. Earl Wilson III and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2019-03-13 with total page 109 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since man has been placed on earth’s surface, he has had to struggle to better his conditions and to survive. Some accept their fate, others cry, and a chosen few fight to make right that which they perceive as wrong. Between 1870 and 1910, most of the black people in the United States were illiterate and systematically deprived of an education. It is against this background that Moses Leroy Davis, the son of a black Mississippi sharecropper, was provoked into action to alleviate the conditions of his people by extirpating ignorance and substituting the obsolete status quo with actions superseding somnolence. Throughout this difficult and seemingly impossible task, his wealthy, aristocratic white friend, Johnathan “Little John” Smith, assists him in overcoming his adversaries. The state of Mississippi has produced many writers such as the following: Richard Wright William Faulkner John Grisham Lerone Bennet Jr. Tennessee Williams Shelby Foote Eudora Welty Sam Wilson is just another writer from Hattiesburg. As you shall see, his style is different.
Book Synopsis Learning in Places by : Zvi Bekerman
Download or read book Learning in Places written by Zvi Bekerman and published by Peter Lang. This book was released on 2006 with total page 332 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Learning in Places is a concerted effort undertaken by an outstanding group of international researchers to create a resource book that can introduce academic, professional and lay readers to the field of informal learning/education and its potential to transform present educational thinking. The book presents a wealth of ideas from a wide variety of disciplinary fields and methodological approaches covering multiple learning landscapes - in museums, workplaces, classrooms, places of recreation - in a variety of political, social and cultural contexts around the world. Learning in Places presents the most recent theoretical advances in the field; analyzing the social, cultural, political, historical and economical contexts within which informal learning develops and must be critiqued. It also looks into the epistemology that nourishes its development and into the practices that characterize its implementation; and finally reflects on the variety of educational contexts in which it is practiced.
