Book excerpt: The books in The Path to Self-Mastery series present a set of mystical and practical initiations designed to raise your consciousness and unlock your creative potential. This book is the foundation for the following books by the seven Chohans. In this book, the leader of the Chohans, the Maha Chohan, gives foundational teachings on how we use our co-creative powers to create spirits that reside in our subconscious minds. These spirits are like computer programs that take over our reactions to many situations. In fact, most non-spiritual people have their entire lives run by these internal spirits. The only way to make real progress towards a higher state of consciousness is to learn how to make these spirits visible, so we can consciously change the decisions that created them. You will learn: We are more than our minds, more than the spirits How internal spirits oppose our spiritual growth The spiritual situation we face on earth Seeing spirits is the secret to spiritual growth How to make a spirit visible and overcome it How to overcome the death consciousness

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Have you ever had an unexplained phenomena - a knock at the door but no one is there; the hairs on your arm standing up, as though you're suddenly chilled; a gradual aroma arising from nowhere; an abrupt noise; a strange sensation on different parts of your body, like someone stroking your hair; or dreams of your deceased loved ones? These are just a few examples of how your ancestors and spirit guides may be trying to gain your attention.Perhaps you've felt empty or unfulfilled at some point in your life. Have you ever wondered if there is something waiting for you beyond your sphere of existence - your friends, your job, your loved ones, your church - do you pray for a deeper understanding of the world around you? Priestess Aladokun was a newcomer to spirituality, but through curiosity, dedication, and perseverance, she has learned to let herself be guided by the spirits of her ancestors. She has studied various schools of spirituality, primarily Afrikan, Latino, and Native American spirituality. She has made many deep connections through these forms of study and worship. Much of what she learned did not come easily, whether through a lack of resources, qualified teachers, or negative energy in her own life that blocked her spiritually. Despite the obstacles, she emerged stronger, wiser and more prepared than ever to guide others down the path paved for us. She has given us "Ancestor Paths." Simply put, "Ancestor Paths" is about ancestor reverence and communication. If you have an interest in spirituality, do not let the complexity of the ideas confuse and discourage you. Do not be disheartened by misunderstandings and misinterpretations. Let Aladokun be your guide to finding your own spirituality, through the veneration of ancestors and the spirits you can learn to access. Let your life become enriched by the knowledge and understanding that "Ancestor Paths" will give you - no matter your race or heritage."Ancestor Paths" is a tribute to all divinities within the universe that continue to guide, bless, and elevate our souls toward higher consciousness and enlightenment. No matter what path you walk, it is the ancestors and the guardian spirits who protect and guide you. This book was written to spread knowledge of how to acknowledge and communicate with your ancestors and guardian spirits on an everyday basis through cleansing rituals, constructing ancestor shrines/altars, suggested prayers, encountering spirits, and fundamental divination. For those interested in spirit contact, this book is for you!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Before invasion, Turtle Island-or North America-was home to vibrant cultures that shared long-standing philosophical precepts. The most important and wide-spread of these was the view of reality as a collaborative binary known as the Twinned Cosmos of Blood and Breath. This binary system was built on the belief that neither half of the cosmos can exist without its twin. Both halves are, therefore, necessary and good. Western anthropologists typically shorthand the Twinned Cosmos as "Sky and Earth" but this erroneously saddles it with Christian baggage and, worse, imposes a hierarchy that puts sky quite literally above earth. None of this Western ideology legitimately applies to traditional Indigenous American thought, which is about equal cooperation and the continual recreation of reality. Spirits of Blood, Spirits of Breath examines traditional historical concepts of spirituality among North American Indians both at and, to the extent it can be determined, before contact. In doing so, Barbara Alice Mann rescues the authentically indigenous ideas from Western, and especially missionary, interpretations. In addition to early European source material, she uses Indian oral traditions, traced as much as possible to their earliest versions and sources, and Indian records, including pictographs, petroglyphs, bark books, and wampum. Moreover, Mann respects each Indigenous culture as a discrete unit, rather than generalizing them as is often done in Western anthropology. To this end, she collates material in accordance with actual historical, linguistic, and traditional linkages among the groups at hand, with traditions clearly identified by group and, where recorded, by speaker. In this way she provides specialists and non-specialists alike a window into the purportedly lost, and often caricatured, world of Indigenous American thought.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A guide to direct communication with the spirits and the Gods • Offers practices for seekers and groups to learn to hear and respond to the spirits and the Gods as well as what to do (and not do) if you receive a message • Explains how to authenticate spiritual messages with divination • Discusses how to avoid theological conflicts when someone’s personal gnosis differs from that of their Pagan group For our ancestors the whole world was alive with spirits. The Gods bubbled forth from rivers and springs and whispered in the breezes that rustled through cities and farms. The ground underfoot, the stones, the fire that cooked the food and drove off the darkness, these all had spirits--not just spirits in some other dimension, but spirits in them who could be spoken to and allied with. In today’s world we are led to believe that the spirits long ago went silent and that spiritual wisdom can only be gained through established religious doctrine. Providing a guide for opening two-way conversation with the spirits of daily life as well as direct communication with the Gods, Kenaz Filan and Raven Kaldera explore how to enrich your spiritual path with personal gnosis--asking your Guides for assistance or teachings and receiving a response. They explain how to develop your sensitivity to the voices of the Divine, discern genuine spiritual messages from the projection of internal psychodrama, and what to do (and not do) with the messages you receive. Confirming their own personal gnosis with Northern Tradition Pagan beliefs and Greco-Roman, Celtic, Egyptian, and indigenous hunter-gatherer lore, the authors discuss how to avoid theological conflicts when someone’s personal gnosis differs from that of their Pagan group as well as how to authenticate messages with individual and group divination. Offering practices and principles for seekers and groups, they reveal that the spirits never went silent, we simply forgot how to hear them.

The author, Solstice, grew up pagan in the Swedish wilderness, forging a deep bond with the Land and the Earth Mother. Later in California she pursued formal studies in nature-based spirituality and the practice of folk magick. In The Earth Spirit Path, you will learn how to achieve lasting positive changes within yourself through techniques such as visualization and sacred listening. These practices allow your spirit to travel throughout Nature's realms, communicating and learning. Book excerpt: • Mongolian shamaness Sarangerel provides a hands-on guide for serious students of the shamanic path. • Includes complete directions for traditional Siberian rituals, meditations, and divination techniques never before published. • Shows how to recognize and acknowledge a call from the spirits. • Offers traditional wisdom for nurturing a working relationship with personal spirit helpers to promote healing and balance in a community. The shaman's purpose is to heal and restore balance to his or her community by developing a working relationship with the spirit world. Mongolian shamanic tradition maintains that all true shamans are called by the spirits--but those who are not from shamanic cultures may have difficulty recognizing the call or nurturing the essential shamanic relationship with their helper spirits. Buryat shamaness Sarangerel has written Chosen by the Spirits as a guide for both the beginning shaman and the advanced practitioner. Although raised in the United States, she was drawn to the shamanic tradition, and in 1991 returned to her ancestral homeland in the Tunken region of southern Siberia to study with traditional Buryat shamans. Her first book, Riding Windhorses, provided an introduction to the shamanic world of Siberia. Chosen by the Spirits delves more deeply into the personal relationship between the shamanic student and his or her "spirit family." Sarangerel recounts her own journey into shamanic practice and provides the serious student with practical advice and hands-on techniques for recognizing and acknowledging a shamanic calling, welcoming and embodying the spirits, journeying to the spirit world, and healing both people and places.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Spirits in Culture, History and Mind reintegrates spirits into comparative theories of religion, which have tended to focus on institutionalized forms of belief associated with gods. It brings an historical perspective to culturally patterned experiences with spirits, and examines spirits as a locus of tension between traditional and foreign values. Taking as a point of departure shifting local views of self, nine case studies drawn from Pacific societies analyze religious phenomena at the intersection of social, psychological and historical processes. The varied approaches taken in these case studies provide a richness of perspective, with each lens illuminating different aspects of spirit-related experience. All, however, bring a sense of historical process to bear on psychological and symbolic approaches to religion, shedding new light on the ways spirits relate to other cultural phenomena.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Evolution of Spirits What is the Reason for Being Here, in This Creation? By Bahram Esmailzadeh, M.Sc. What is the reason for being here? Unlock the answer in The Evolution of Spirits. In this intriguing follow-up to his first book,Understanding the Creation, Esmailzadeh introduces a general theory for the creation, evolution and destiny of all spirits. The Evolution of Spirits directly deals with variety of spiritual phenomena and yet it is not related to any of the religions or philosophies. It reveals the authors curiosity, his extensive research and persistent personal contemplations on various spiritual phenomena. This book raises the most important question: What is the reason for being here? Esmailzadeh sheds light on this very matter. In this comprehensive blueprint he demonstrates how everything began, the objectives that must be met and how spirits may eventually accomplish their ultimate and common task. He begins by explaining the creation of the physical and the spiritual worlds and the specific laws that govern them. He follows with a discussion on how spirits evolve, as they go through their evolutionary path. He tells what will eventually become of all spirits, the physical world and the spiritual world. By applying the proposed theory, Esmailzadeh also provides consistent explanations for a variety of spiritual phenomena such as overlapping past lives, power of thought, spiritual healing, states of dreaming, trance and coma, sleep paralysis, spiritual guides, wandering and escorting spirits, evil eye and witchcraft, prophesying and fortune telling, sexuality, animal languages, psychopaths, seizures, cravings, multiple personalities, possessions and exorcism, ghosts and apparitions, astrology, as well as inspiration, imagination, intelligence, instincts, curiosity, memory, conscience and of course the source of the ever-growing number of human spirits. Thought-provoking and thoroughly engaging, The Evolution of Spirits clarifies issues that have challenged mans intelligence since the beginning of time.

Book excerpt: In Seducing Spirits: The Battle for Your Soul, Dennis Aaberg provides a significant service to the Church by systematically and comprehensively presenting the nature of the spiritual battle that we are all called to wage. He identifies the various spirits, or demons, that effect sinful behavior, clarifies the nature of the battle raging in the heavenly realm, examines the reassuring provision of God's Armor for our protection, and outlines twenty-seven disciplines to help you live free in Christ. As with all Minister Aaberg's writings, the entire work is extremely practical, the substance of his thesis is thoroughly biblical, and the abundance of Scriptural quotations leaves you with a sense of, "Thus saith the Lord!" Seducing Spirits will sharpen your spiritual perceptions and give you an advantage in victoriously walking with Christ. Pastor Timothy A. Johnson Executive Director, Minnesota Church Ministries Association (MCMA) Bishop/Executive Director, MCMA - Africa Minister Dennis Aaberg is married with three children - Bradley, Angela, and John. His wife Debbie is a minister at the Shiloh Temple International Ministries church in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, where she is the Director of Children's Ministries, adult Bible study leader, discipleship teacher, and pianist on the Praise and Worship Team. Most recently, Minister Aaberg served as the Youth Department Director at the Shiloh Temple Brooklyn Park - overseeing the Youth Department, leading Bible studies, and playing drums on the Praise and Worship Team. Previously, Minister Aaberg served his prior church congregation for twenty-five years in a variety of capacities; including teaching, member visitations, church council, interim youth department director, youth chaperone, pastoral call committees, coaching youth softball, and etcetera. Currently, Minister Aaberg is devoting more time to writing materials to help believers develop a stronger relationship with their Lord, and to help them mature their faith walk.
