And Shane is ready to chase it to hell and back… Following a trail of broken bodies and shattered souls, Shane’s crusade steers him from sun-scorched Arizona to the snow-swept forests of Canada. But he quickly discovers that he is not the only one on the hunt. As he battles ghosts and biker cultists alike, Shane slowly realizes that someone… Or something… is following his tracks. A deadly enforcer, with an army of malevolent spirits at its beck and call, is looking for a fight. And Shane Ryan will give them the deadliest battle of his life...

Book excerpt: Warren Parish is literally about to go to hell and back to protect his daughter, but first he must save her from an even closer danger--Heaven. The Council of angels has decreed Iliana must be brought to Eden to be made a seraph--an angel frozen as a child. And though it means Warren can finally be with her, she will never grow up. She will never access her power. And she will never have the life he sacrificed everything to give her. Time is running out. He has until her first birthday to bring her to Eden. If not, the guardians will be sent for her, and he will be stripped of his birthright as the Archangel and lose his daughter forever.

Book excerpt: Though Davies is a well-known and unique literary figure of the early twentieth century, most famous now for The Autobiography of a Super-Tramp and poems such as ‘Leisure’, which came 14th in the BBC’s search to find ‘The Nation’s Favourite Poems’, no other volume of essays, or other critical monograph, concentrates on his work. This book not only provides a reassessment of Davies, putting him in his literary and cultural context, but also sheds light on the many more central literary figures he encountered and befriended. The central aim of the book is to reconsider his major works and his place in the literary and cultural milieu of his period.

Book Synopsis The Collected Poems of William H. Davies by : William Henry Davies
Download or read book The Collected Poems of William H. Davies written by William Henry Davies and published by Pantianos Classics. This book was released on 1916 with total page 204 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: William Henry Davies, a poet famed for his talented portrayals of nature and indigence, penned numerous evocative verses. This 1916 anthology is a summation of his early to midlife work. As a young man, Davies favored the life of a homeless person. Born in Wales, he spent part of his youth in North America, making his way through various locales on foot or by train as a tramp. In 1899 he experienced a serious accident; while aboard a moving train in Ontario he slipped and his foot was caught and crushed by a moving wheel. His leg was amputated below the knee, necessitating a peg leg. This shocking event marked the beginning of Davies' poetic career. The style of Davies' poems is simple yet distinctive, his economy with words coinciding with unique impact and grace. Meditations upon the beauty of the natural world are accompanied by descriptive verse on such topics as childhood, emotional states, the warmth of a good fire, and creatures of the great outdoors. Despite further blows to his health as the years passed, Davies was productive for decades, publishing fondly-received anthologies well into the 1930s.
