Book excerpt: The 'Song of God' is a new book of scripture for a new and modern age. This revelation was brought forth by Azrael Ondi-Ahman (a.k.a., Archie Dean Wood, Sr.) who, in 1979, began receiving visitations by highly evolved, glorified human beings who identified themselves as God. After seven years of instruction, Azrael was commissioned to begin writing what would become the foundation for a new dispensation, and the restoration of gnosis for all humanity. The 'Song of God' begins with the premise that the only proper religion for mankind is humanity itself, for it is from this humanity that God first evolved -God who is our future, came from humans who are Their past. Extraordinary in depth and scope, the 'Song of God' is both radical and affirming. This modern revelation is an anthem of knowledge, myth and mystery that will sing to the heart and uplift the mind. The 'Song of God' is a grand unification of wisdom and truth, confirming with sound clarity the beauty, value and potential of humankind. This book presents a new standard, a new choice that both challenges and empowers us to let go of hurtful dogmas and move forward into an age of greater peace and understanding.

"Always preach to broken hearts and you will never lack for a congregation," an old saying goes. And for that reason, this book is for everyone because there are many, many things that break our hearts. Sicknesses, spiritual depression, disabilities, painful memories, strained relationships . . . all of these weigh on Christians' hearts at one time or another. And even when our hearts feel light, there is a longing that runs through us a crying of the soul for eternity, for a new heavens and a new earth.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Modern biblical scholarship interprets the Song as a collection of love lyrics. For Edmée Kingsmill, on the contrary, the essence of the Song is mystical. A principal concern of this study, however, is to uncover the relationship between the 117 verses of the Song and those biblical books to which they point. Beneath the metaphors a network of allusions is being woven, conveying a picture opposite to that we find in the prophets who, confronted with the continual 'adultery' of Israel, poured forth their condemnations with unwearying passion. In dramatic contrast, the Song presents a paradisal picture: 'For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear in the land, and the time of singing is come' (Song 2: 11-12). Thus, in presenting the ideal, the intention of the Song's author is shown to be encouragement. The inclusion of this poem in the biblical canon is understood, therefore, to be central to the purpose of the biblical literature: to bring all people to love the God of love. The book is in two parts. The first and longer part is concerned with themes, including the relationship of the Song to the early Jewish mystical literature. The second part is a short commentary intended for the reader interested in the text as much as in the related questions to which the text gives rise.

You Don’t Get Your Own Personal Jesus, excerpted from J.D. Greear’s book Not God Enough, captures the liberating truth that God is exactly who he says he is. You may prefer a God who is small, safe, and domesticated, a God who thinks like you think and likes what you like. You may prefer a God you can manage, predict, and control. But what if this small version of God is holding you back from genuine, confident, world-transforming faith? God is not just a slightly better, slightly smarter version of you. He is infinite and glorious, and an encounter with him won’t just change the way you think about your faith. It will change your entire life.

Now they’re back with a new collection that is equally inspiring as the first, Songs To The Glory Of God Volume II. Of these songs, Gary Turner shares, “The Godhead has truly been my inspiration. The songs were written to glorify God. I certainly pray that they will be an inspiration to you and that they will move you to glorify His name.” After his retirement Mr. Gary Turner made a commitment to the Lord that he would write a song for every week in the year. Songs To The Glory Of God Volume II is filled with 87 songs with divinely inspired lyrics and music. Larry Turner, an accomplished musician, arranged all the music in this hymn book. Another beautiful addition to one’s musical repertoire, Songs To The Glory Of God Volume II reveals the essence and beauty of God’s love through His Son, Jesus. It will help lead believers into praise and worship, rejuvenating their faith and strengthening their belief in God.

Book excerpt: “God has appointed preaching in worship as one great means of accomplishing his ultimate goal in the world.” —John Piper John Piper makes a compelling claim in these pages about the purpose of preaching: it is intended not merely as an explanation of the text but also as a means of awakening worship by being worship in and of itself. Christian preaching is a God-appointed miracle aiming to awaken the supernatural seeing, savoring, and showing of the glory of Christ. Distilling over forty years of experience in preaching and teaching, Piper shows preachers how and what to communicate from God’s Word, so that God’s purpose on earth will advance through Biblesaturated, Christ-exalting, God-centered preaching—in other words, expository exultation.
