However, developing a usable understand of the function, enormous capability, and incredible power the subconscious can bring to one's thought process is indeed a substantial challenge. This capability is not taught in our schools and I believe it should be. This is based on my lifelong study of how I trained and utilized my subconscious, the results, and my efforts to help others develop theirs. My effort began when I entered college to study electrical engineering, an effort I found I was ill prepared for. Under considerable pressure to get top grades, one day I decided to try to train my subconscious to help on exams while I was taking them. The results were startling and I graduated with nearly a 4.0 honor point average. Later, at MIT, it helped me complete my doctoral program in just over 2 years. When I went to work, I found that my subconscious was equally effective on work problems. Without being asked, it provided the solution to a potentially project ending problem plaguing one of the company's major government contracts which, after my solution was implemented and shown to work, I was told the problem had been considered unsolvable. As a result, this began the redirection of my career to that of solving major technical problems, others were unable to solve, for companies, governments, and NATO. Given the subconscious is one of the most powerful of the human resources and our current educational system does not make our children aware of it, I have been working to change that. For years I have been informally helping people learn about the power of their subconscious and how to utilize it with the idea that being able to direct the efforts of one's subconscious mind can enable them to solve more difficult problems than they are currently able to solve. My next step is to get educators to teach it. This book, Solving The Unsolvable, and the earlier version, Training and Utilizing Your Subconscious to Solve Problems, are intended to introduce that process into the educational world. The first part of the book describes what prompted me to look at the subconscious, how it appears to work, what I did with it, and how others got started. The second part of the book describes, in some detail, a number of the 'unsolvable' problems I was tasked to undertake and how I solved them. It is worth noting that in the 50 or so years that corporate and government organizations, here and abroad, have been assigning me major problems that others had been unable to solve, my subconscious has never failed to solve any of them. To me, that is a capability worth looking into especially since you know it is something that can be learned.
