Book excerpt: El objetivo de la investigación recogida en este libro ha sido analizar la variación de los gastos en ocio -en teoría son los menos relacionados con la satisfacción de las necesidades básicas - en un contexto de crisis económica y conocer la relación entre los hábitos de ocio y cuatro tipos de variables (ciclo de vida del hogar, posición social, variables sociodemográficas y socioeconómicas) con el fin de determinar la capacidad explicativa de cada una de ellas. Los datos de la Encuesta de Presupuestos Familiares del 2012 en los que se aborda el ocio desde la perspectiva del gasto han sido analizados para realizar una lectura de los mismos desde la revisión de los modelos e indicadores explicativos de los cuatro tipos de variables a estudiar. El objetivo ha sido, tras considerar la escasa estabilidad de los gastos en un contexto de crisis económica, definir la variable más importante en la explicación de los hábitos de ocio, en la distribución del gasto en ocio y en la explicación de la evolución del consumo en gastos realizados durante el tiempo de ocio. Otro de los aspectos que aborda Fragmentación en los consumos de ocio en un contexto de crisis económica es comprender los aspectos sustantivos en el consumo de ocio: qué razones explican la decisión de una persona a la hora de decidir en qué gasta durante su tiempo de ocio.

El poder público sirve para centrar en él casi todas las “bofe-tadas” porque, ¿cómo morder la mano de tu señor? Sin embargo, el poder del mundo no es exactamente público sino privado. Como el periodismo se ha alejado de los ciudadanos, los ciudadanos bus-can su información en otros lugares alternativos, así ha ido creciendo la crisis del periodismo que se ha agravado con la crisis de un sistema que busca nuevos modelos de negocio en muchas ocasiones a costa del periodismo. Menos mal que, al mismo tiempo, aparecen iniciativas, aún por consolidarse, que aportan una esperanza para el desarrollo del conocimiento.
