When he responds to a call about a man sprawled on a downtown sidewalk, Trestle isn't about to lose another victim. CPR revives the man long enough for him to hand Trestle a crumpled piece of paper and say, "Give this to Martin," before being taken to the hospital. The note is a series of dashes and haphazard scribbles. Trestle tries to follow up with the patient later, but at the ICU he learns the man awoke, pulled out his IVs, and vanished, leaving only a single key behind. Jonathan tracks the key to a nearby motel where he finds the man again--this time not just dead but murdered. Unwilling to just let it drop, Jonathan is plunged into a mystery that soon threatens not only his dreams for the future but maybe even his life.

A cannon. A strap. A piece. A biscuit. A burner. A heater. A chopper. A gat. A hammer A tool for RULE Or, you can call it a gun. That’s what fifteen-year-old Will has shoved in the back waistband of his jeans. See, his brother Shawn was just murdered. And Will knows the rules. No crying. No snitching. Revenge. That’s where Will’s now heading, with that gun shoved in the back waistband of his jeans, the gun that was his brother’s gun. He gets on the elevator, seventh floor, stoked. He knows who he’s after. Or does he? As the elevator stops on the sixth floor, on comes Buck. Buck, Will finds out, is who gave Shawn the gun before Will took the gun. Buck tells Will to check that the gun is even loaded. And that’s when Will sees that one bullet is missing. And the only one who could have fired Shawn’s gun was Shawn. Huh. Will didn’t know that Shawn had ever actually USED his gun. Bigger huh. BUCK IS DEAD. But Buck’s in the elevator? Just as Will’s trying to think this through, the door to the next floor opens. A teenage girl gets on, waves away the smoke from Dead Buck’s cigarette. Will doesn’t know her, but she knew him. Knew. When they were eight. And stray bullets had cut through the playground, and Will had tried to cover her, but she was hit anyway, and so what she wants to know, on that fifth floor elevator stop, is, what if Will, Will with the gun shoved in the back waistband of his jeans, MISSES. And so it goes, the whole long way down, as the elevator stops on each floor, and at each stop someone connected to his brother gets on to give Will a piece to a bigger story than the one he thinks he knows. A story that might never know an END…if Will gets off that elevator. Told in short, fierce staccato narrative verse, Long Way Down is a fast and furious, dazzlingly brilliant look at teenage gun violence, as could only be told by Jason Reynolds.

But when she unwittingly gives an unscrupulous mogul a chance to profit from her murder, she becomes the target of a terrifying killer who makes nature seem tame by comparison. At first left for dead, she is rescued by a medical research team that operates outside the law. She awakens to find she's the living proof of a breakthrough that can change the world. Some people would pay any price to control it. Others would simply steal the secret--even if it costs Isabel's life. As powerful rivals pursue her, Isabel must risk everything to protect those she loves--or die again tomorrow. "Die Again Tomorrow held me captive me from the opening chapter--in which a murdered woman is subjected to a secret medical procedure that brings her back to life. From there the story takes off like a rocket, full of surprises, fascinating science, and vivid characters. If you enjoy the medical thrillers of Crichton and Cook, this book is for you. I can't recommend it highly enough."--Douglas Preston

Book excerpt: Writer Rob Williams and artist Michael Dowling are joined by guest artists Simon Gane and Javier Pulido to bring their provocative take on social networking to its shocking conclusion in UNFOLLOW VOL. 3: TURN IT OFF. When Internet billionaire Larry Ferrell announced that he was giving away his entire fortune to 140 random users of his Headspace app, it seemed like a dream come true. But for the people who were chosen, it soon became a nightmare. Ferrell’s only condition was that if any of the 140 died, their share of the money would be immediately redistributed to those left alive. The result was carnage. The survivors—both hunters and hunted alike—scattered across the globe. Some went into hiding, some sought protection from mercenaries, and many found sanctuary in cult author Akira’s secure compound on Yakushima Island. But Akira’s haven became a hell on Earth when the half-sane artist unveiled his own death-fueled plan for digital immortality. In the fiery aftermath, his posthumous Akira app is poised to steal the world’s attention away from Ferrell’s 140 experiment. Now, two competing visions for the planet’s future are about to go to war—and the last of Ferrell’s unlucky winners are trapped between them. After a final bloody showdown in the jungle, the ultimate social media alpha will be revealed—but will any of the 140 escape? And if so, what kind of world will they return to? Collects issues #13-18 of the acclaimed Vertigo series.

With those few words in August 1973, Sarah Chambers, her husband Richard, and their good friends Alice and Dick started a journey that would take them far beyond anything they could possibly imagine. They would explore the unseen realm of the spiritual world with their teacher "Michael." Along with good friend Eugene Trout, they would become the creators of a new spiritual teaching - based in love - that is used to help people become more of who they really are. The group kept transcripts of their meetings and those transcripts were quietly copied and passed around to their friends, then copied and passed on to their friends. Volume 1 contains the transcripts themselves. Volume 2 contains the Charts, Cartoons, Drawings and Compilations by various members of the group, as well as background on the members of the group. Volume 3 contains additional transcripts from 1978-1985, and updates to Volume 1.
