Book excerpt: Le recours à des formes de plus en plus élancées dans la construction allié à la tendance actuelle de dimensionnement aux états limites ultimes, conduit à considérer le comportement non-linéaire des structures. En conséquence le développement de méthodes d'analyse, sur ordinateur, prenant en compte le comportement réel des matériaux et de leur liaison, s'impose du fait de la complexité de la modélisation. En ce sens, plusieurs méthodes non-linéaires sont mises au point pour l'étude du comportement des ossatures planes chargées dans leur plan. L'étude entreprise vise plutôt à contribuer à l'analyse non-linéaire du comportement des structures spatiales formées d'un assemblage de barres (poutres et poteaux). Elle peut être décomposée en trois parties. La première consiste à élaborer une méthode d'analyse non-linéaire pour les ossatures spatiales, applicable en particulier pour les structures en béton armé et/ou précontraint. La non-linéarité est considérée sous ses deux aspects: mécanique (comportement non-linéaire des matériaux constitutifs) et géométrique (effets de second ordre dus aux déplacements). Dans cette méthode, la structure étudiée est modélisée par des éléments finis reliant deux nœuds à six degrés de liberté chacun. Les sections transversales de ces éléments sont définies par des contours polygonaux, ensuite décomposées automatiquement en tables trapézoïdales. La précontrainte, introduite par la méthode interne, est définie câble par câble, dont le tracé est représenté par des splines cubiques. La tension dans les câbles est évaluée en tenant compte des pertes instantanées. Le comportement de la structure est étudié pas à pas en appliquant les charges aux nœuds par incréments. La deuxième partie concerne le développement d'un logiciel, du calcul correspondant, constitué d'une association de modules écrits suivant les normes fortran 77. Ce logiciel se caractérise par la gestion dynamique de la mémoire centrale. De plus pour permettre à notre élément de poutre d'être utilisé par d'autres logiciels de calculs d'ossatures spatiale, une interface commune a été développée, celle-ci assure la liaison entre le logiciel et l'ensemble des modules non-linéaires de calcul de la matrice de rigidité d'un élément de poutre spatiale. Cette interface est constituée, d'une part de structures de données nécessaires à l'éxécution du paquetage modulaire, d'autre part de procédures d'accès à ces structures. La troisième concerne la confrontation de l'outil informatique ainsi développé à des résultats d'essais sur les structures en béton armé, en béton précontraint, mixtes et métalliques. Les vérifications effectuées ont porté sur des exemples de poutres continues, de poteaux isostatiques et de portiques simples.
