Book Synopsis Modélisation et simulation numériques en formage virtuel by : SAANOUNI Khemais
Download or read book Modélisation et simulation numériques en formage virtuel written by SAANOUNI Khemais and published by Lavoisier. This book was released on 2012-04-16 with total page 578 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Book Synopsis Natural Element Method for the Simulation of Structures and Processes by : Francisco Chinesta
Download or read book Natural Element Method for the Simulation of Structures and Processes written by Francisco Chinesta and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2013-03-04 with total page 195 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Computational mechanics is the discipline concerned with the use of computational methods to study phenomena governed by the principles of mechanics. Before the emergence of computational science (also called scientific computing) as a "third way" besides theoretical and experimental sciences, computational mechanics was widely considered to be a sub-discipline of applied mechanics. It is now considered to be a sub-discipline within computational science. This book presents a recent state of the art on the foundations and applications of the meshless natural element method in computational mechanics, including structural mechanics and material forming processes involving solids and Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids.

Book Synopsis Discrete-continuum Coupling Method to Simulate Highly Dynamic Multi-scale Problems by : Mohamed Jebahi
Download or read book Discrete-continuum Coupling Method to Simulate Highly Dynamic Multi-scale Problems written by Mohamed Jebahi and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2015-10-02 with total page 216 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Complex behavior models (plasticity, crack, visco-elascticity) are facing several theoretical difficulties in determining the behavior law at the continuous (macroscopic) scale. When homogenization fails to give the right behavior law, a solution is to simulate the material at a mesoscale using the discrete element model (DEM) in order to directly simulate a set of discrete properties that are responsible for the macroscopic behavior. Originally, the discrete element model was developed for granular material. This book, the second in the Discrete Element Model and Simulation of Continuous Materials Behavior set of books, shows how to choose the adequate coupling parameters to avoid spurious wave reflection and to allow the passage of all the dynamic information both from the fine to the coarse model and vice versa. The authors demonstrate the coupling method to simulate a highly nonlinear dynamical problem: the laser shock processing of silica glass.

Book Synopsis Residual Stresses 2016 by : Thomas M. Holden
Download or read book Residual Stresses 2016 written by Thomas M. Holden and published by Materials Research Forum LLC. This book was released on 2017-03-15 with total page 638 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book presents the proceedings of the International Conference on Residual Stresses 10 and is devoted to the prediction/modelling, evaluation, control, and application of residual stresses in engineering materials. New developments, on stress-measurement techniques, on modelling and prediction of residual stresses and on progress made in the fundamental understanding of the relation between the state of residual stress and the material properties, are highlighted. The proceedings offer an overview of the current understanding of the role of residual stresses in materials used in wide ranging application areas.
Book Synopsis Computational Fluid and Solid Mechanics 2003 by : K.J Bathe
Download or read book Computational Fluid and Solid Mechanics 2003 written by K.J Bathe and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2003-06-02 with total page 2485 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Bringing together the world's leading researchers and practitioners of computational mechanics, these new volumes meet and build on the eight key challenges for research and development in computational mechanics.Researchers have recently identified eight critical research tasks facing the field of computational mechanics. These tasks have come about because it appears possible to reach a new level of mathematical modelling and numerical solution that will lead to a much deeper understanding of nature and to great improvements in engineering design. The eight tasks are: - The automatic solution of mathematical models - Effective numerical schemes for fluid flows - The development of an effective mesh-free numerical solution method - The development of numerical procedures for multiphysics problems - The development of numerical procedures for multiscale problems - The modelling of uncertainties - The analysis of complete life cycles of systems - Education - teaching sound engineering and scientific judgement Readers of Computational Fluid and Solid Mechanics 2003 will be able to apply the combined experience of many of the world's leading researchers to their own research needs. Those in academic environments will gain a better insight into the needs and constraints of the industries they are involved with; those in industry will gain a competitive advantage by gaining insight into the cutting edge research being carried out by colleagues in academia. Features - Bridges the gap between academic researchers and practitioners in industry - Outlines the eight main challenges facing Research and Design in Computational mechanics and offers new insights into the shifting the research agenda - Provides a vision of how strong, basic and exciting education at university can be harmonized with life-long learning to obtain maximum value from the new powerful tools of analysis

Download or read book Isem 03 written by A. Bossavit and published by IOS Press. This book was released on 2004 with total page 686 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This publication contains a selection of 124 papers among the 165 full-length contributions which were submitted on-site at ISEM 2003. The objective of the symposia series is to vigorously promote the research in the field of electro-mechanical systems. The reader will, we hope, appreciate the variety of topics that were addressed. This is what makes ISEM so stimulating for whoever is interested in the applications of electromagnetics and its opening toward many technical fields. Yet, this publication does not intend to be a mosaic of sub-disciplines, but aims at their integration and synergy. This will be demonstrated by the present selection.
