Download or read book A Course in Miricles written by Helen Schucman, PhD and published by Courier Dover Publications. This book was released on 2019-03-20 with total page 1123 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A Course in Miracles is the acclaimed spiritual guide that teaches the way to universal love and peace is by undoing guilt through forgiving others. The "miracles" of the title refers to shifts in perception from fear to love, which fosters the healing and sanctification of relationships. Although expressed in terms of traditional Christianity, this life-changing work constitutes nonsectarian, universal spiritual teachings. The three-part approach begins with an explanation of the course's theory and the development of the experience of forgiveness. The second consists of a workbook, comprising 365 lessons — an exercise for each day of the year — intended to influence students' perceptions. The third section presents a manual for teachers, in which the question-and-answer format provides responses for likely inquiries as well as definitions for terms used throughout the course. Written by Dr. Helen Schucman, a clinical and research psychologist, and edited by her colleague at Columbia University, Dr. William Thetford, from 1965 to 1970, A Course in Miracles has been translated into more than 20 languages and sold millions of copies around the world.

Born on June 28, 1971, in Pretoria, South Africa, to Maye Musk and Errol Musk, Elon Musk is always in the news, be it for a positive news or a controversy. Being a visionary, he confidently tracks down answers for the problems instead of bemoaning about them. Musk has consistently surpassed people’s expectations in spite of all obstacles. He has been able to rise above mediocrity and achieve greater success in every aspect of his business thanks to his capacity to solve problems of varying degrees of complexity. Overall, he fits the cliched definition of “Love him, hate him, but you cannot ignore him”. He had entered and transformed three different industries and it looks like he is not done yet. Who is Elon Musk? What makes him tick? How he approaches problems and what is his style of working? What can we learn from his successes and failures? All these questions will be answered in this book. This book includes Elon’s and his close associates’ own words and experiences to describe 100 success lessons that are derived from Elon’s life. The readers can easily infuse these lessons into their daily life.

Book Synopsis Effects of Medium-Switching on Secondary School Students' Learning by : Endalew Kufi
Download or read book Effects of Medium-Switching on Secondary School Students' Learning written by Endalew Kufi and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2013-10-19 with total page 269 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Television constitutes an important medium widely used to disseminate information to its viewers. It has the unique feature of combining audio and visual technology, and is thus considered to be more effective than audio media. It serves multiple purposes of entertainment, information and education. In terms of the latter, it helps in providing discovery learning and stimulates cognitive development of its viewers. The findings indicate that although televised lessons were very rich, a lack of audio-visual media skills among students, and a lack of entry level support and integration were obstacles to the effective use of the televised medium for instructional purposes. Students did not receive adequate audio-visual preparation, both prior to and at the entry into general secondary education. Furthermore, teachers did not receive focused training to develop skills as facilitators.
