This book was released on 2015-06 with total page 84 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This manual presents an evidence-based focal psychodynamic approach for the outpatient treatment of adults with anorexia nervosa, which has been shown to produce lasting changes for patients. The reader first gains a thorough understanding of the general models and theories of anorexia nervosa. The book then describes in detail a three-phase treatment using focal psychodynamic psychotherapy. It provides extensive hands-on tips, including precise assessment of psychodynamic themes and structures using the Operationalized Psychodynamic Diagnosis (OPD) system, real-life case studies, and clinical pearls. Clinicians also learn how to identify and treat typical ego structural deficits in the areas of affect experience and differentiation, impulse control, self-worth regulation, and body perception. Detailed case vignettes provide deepened insight into the therapeutic process. A final chapter explores the extensive empirical studies on which this manual is based, in particular the renowned multicenter ANTOP study. Printable tools in the appendices can be used in daily practice. This book is of interest to clinical psychologists, psychotherapists, psychiatrists, counselors, and students.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Abstract: Altered eating behavior and exercise habits frequently affect the menstrual cycle, particularly in young women. This book summarizes the state of art of knowledge of behavioral effects on reproductive endocrine function. An attempt is made to characterize the hypothalamic pulse generator biochemically and to determine factors which influence hypothalamic pulsatility. These new results are then discussed in view of the malfunctioning of the hypothalamic pulse generator in anorectic and bulimic patients. This book offers a new perspective, i.e. from behavior to hormonal mechanisms, unlike most literature dealing with the relationship from the perspective of hormones to behavior.

Book excerpt: During the past 15 years, research on anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa has grown drastically, providing empirical evidence for a more accurate classification schema of eating disorders. This book brings together the most recent clinical research concerning all facets of these distinct but interrelated disorders, providing a current overview of the psychobiology and treatment of anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. Written by experts in the field, Psychobiology and Treatment of Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa reviews a diagnostic schema of eating disorders from the perspectives of cross-cultural, longitudinal, and family studies. It presents the psychobiology of anorexia and bulimia nervosa in the context of neuroendocrinology and the psychological perceptions associated with eating behavior. The book also examines the family's contribution to the development and maintenance of eating disorders from the perspective of family interaction studies. The final section of this book reviews the latest developments in the integration of psychodynamic concepts into the psychotherapy of anorexia and bulimia nervosa, covers cognitive behavioral approaches, and examines the pharmacological treatment of eating disorders.

The present document covers the years of 2003-2006 for all areas. In-depth analysis are presented for the year 2006. The basic structure of five chapters - offences and offenders known to the police, prosecution, convictions and sentences, corrections including non-custodial sanctions and survey data - has been maintained. However, several chapters were revised and extended in various respects. Chapter 5 presents data from the International Victimisation Surveys conducted between 1989 and 2005. In addition, for the first time information is included on self-reported delinquency among juveniles (aged 13-16) that was collected in 2006 during the second international self-reported delinquency survey held in 17 European countries."--Site web de l'éditeur.

Using vivid examples, they describe the appropriate composition of a group of children, the structure of a group therapy session, the group process, disorder-oriented and group process-oriented interventions and the demands placed on the leaders of these groups.
