El principal objetivo del seguimiento de programas de inserción sociolaboral es verificar el cumplimiento de los objetivos propuestos y, de esta manera, poder disminuir o extinguir gradualmente los apoyos que recibe el trabajador con discapacidad, favoreciendo su autonomía e independencia. En este manual se analizarán las bases teóricas y metodológicas de la evaluación de programas de inserción sociolaboral y se facilitarán las orientaciones precisas para realizar el seguimiento de estas intervenciones. Además, se propondrán técnicas para el análisis de la calidad de vida tras la incorporación laboral, tanto desde el punto de vista del trabajador con discapacidad, como de su entorno personal.

Other chapters summarize the different rehabilitative approaches that have been proposed in this disease; the novel, interesting findings of therapeutic potential to target DM1 with small molecule kinase inhibitors and the promises his may provide to this devastating disorder; the controversial, phenotypical consequences of the interrupted alleles on DM1 patients; and the sleep disorders associated with myotonic dystrophies.
