Is there an overall ministry strategy that’s beneficial? Saints, Sufferers, and Sinners by author and counselor Michael R. Emlet outlines a model of one-another ministry based on how God sees and loves his people. Emlet helps readers use Scripture to find foundational categories for understanding and approaching one another, which serve as guideposts for wise care. Filled with everyday illustrations as well as counseling examples, Emlet demonstrates what it looks like to approach fellow believers simultaneously as saints, sufferers, and sinners. As part of CCEF's Helping the Helper series, this guide for ministry provides an overall framework for wisely helping any person, balancing all three aspects of our experience as Christians.

Quantum Physics, General Relativity, and the Theory of Everything will be taught in the eighth grade. Religion will merge with science, philosophy, and metaphysics and be taught as Social Science." Dr. Amy Omikami, Professor of Astrophysics, USN. "Life was a Cosmological imperative. We all came from star stuff. Doctrinal seminaries are obsolete, absurd, and boring. Our university will present philosophy, religion, and science as a single mosaic of cognitive experience." Maria Tantalia, Present of Board, USN.

It enhances our understanding of the multiple uses and meanings of the sins tradition.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This text is unique; it is the first book of its kind that challenges the theory of evolution by the word of God. In the text, it will be proved beyond doubt that the word of God is powerful with a two-edged sword. It divides asunder and exposes the counterfeit and the false. Not only that, but it proves the validity of the arguments by using medical and surgical studies of the patients ailments. The author is a scientist and a surgeon. He studied anatomy and embryology in full details that makes him argue with confidence. The doctrine of creation has a solid foundation which is the true word of God. The author used the results of surgical procedures that are done by spiritual knowledge compared to others done by natural man, whose knowledge is based on the theory of evolution. These have changed the procedures from difficult and complicated, to a single day procedure with financial gains to the patient and to the public. The relation between sin, diseases, and death is studied and proved beyond doubt. The salvation by justification, sanctification, and righteousness is explained and also proved beyond doubt. Man is created and evolved to a higher degree of holiness by the working power of the Holy Spirit, contrary to evolution by genetic mutation and natural selection that might promote the man to a high intellectual standard, but this usually brings low moral value with it, that at the end lead to death from moral decay, alcoholism, and drug addiction. The evolution is produced by knowledge and experience, and it caries with it, away from God, all the destructive elements to humans.

Book excerpt: How Catholic churches are being sapped of their spiritual vitality and what you can do about it The problem with new-style churches isn't just that they're ugly they actually distort the Faith and lead Catholics away from Catholicism. So argues Michel S. Rose in these eye-opening pages, which banish forever the notion that lovers of traditional-style churches are motivated simply by taste or nostalgia. In terms that non-architects can understand (and modern architects can't dismiss!), Rose shows that far more is at stake: modern churches actually violate the three natural laws of church architecture and lead Catholics to worship, quite simply, a false god.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A central tenet of Catholic religious practice, confession relies upon the use of language between the penitent and his or her confessor. In the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, as Spain colonized the Quechua-speaking Andean world, the communication of religious beliefs and practices—especially the practice of confession—to the native population became a primary concern, and as a result, expansive bodies of Spanish ecclesiastic literature were translated into Quechua. In this fascinating study of the semantic changes evident in translations of Catholic catechisms, sermons, and manuals, Regina Harrison demonstrates how the translated texts often retained traces of ancient Andean modes of thought, despite the didactic lessons they contained. In Sin and Confession in Colonial Peru, Harrison draws directly from confession manuals to demonstrate how sin was newly defined in Quechua lexemes, how the role of women was circumscribed to fit Old World patterns, and how new monetized perspectives on labor and trade were taught to the subjugated indigenous peoples of the Andes by means of the Ten Commandments. Although outwardly confession appears to be an instrument of oppression, the reformer Bartolomé de Las Casas influenced priests working in the Andes; through their agency, confessional practice ultimately became a political weapon to compel Spanish restitution of Incan lands and wealth. Bringing together an unprecedented study (and translation) of Quechua religious texts with an expansive history of Andean and Spanish transculturation, Harrison uses the lens of confession to understand the vast and telling ways in which language changed at the intersection of culture and religion.
