Download or read book A Changing World written by Cesar Vidal and published by Agustin Agency. This book was released on 2020-07 with total page 384 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: On December 26, 1991, an event of extraordinary importance in universal history took place. It involved the dissolution of the Soviet Union, an event of enormous repercussions that almost no one had anticipated. In fact, only the historian Andrei Amalrík1 and Nobel laureate and writer Alexander Solzhenitsyn,2 two Russian dissidents, had enough courage and vision to forecast that such a seismic event would take place. Although it is indisputable that the Cold War had come to an end, there are more than a few who intend to continue analyzing the current global situation from the perspective of a historical period that ended four decades ago. Claiming to understand the present with the paradigms of the Cold War-even to a large extent with those espoused by the Left and Right-is a very serious mistake with consequences that are extremely harmful. History has continued to move forward, and just as it would have been foolish to claim to understand Europe of the end of the nineteenth century on the basis of what life was like for Napoleon, who was finally dethroned in 1815; it is absurd, and even ridiculous, to try to understand our world on the basis of what the Cold War entailed. In the first part of the present work, we will take into account the analysis of democracy as a recent and often failed regime, as well as consider the dangers that now threaten its very survival. The second part is devoted to the globalist agenda, which constitutes a real threat that seeks to destroy national sovereignty, the power of the Sates, and the democratic system itself. Finally, the third paints a global picture of how reactions are already perceived in light of this globalist agenda, although not all of them lead to a future of freedom, and, certainly, the human race runs a true and real risk of being subjected to totalitarian systems of various kinds. We invite you on this journey with The World is Changing.

Download or read book The Exile written by César Vidal and published by Agustin Agency. This book was released on 2022-02 with total page 167 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: However, The Exile is not only an account of the time of the Reformation and the Counter-Reformation ... although it is that. The fact is, it constitutes a description of how different societies define and shape not only the present but also the future based on the values they embrace. These values make them strong or quite weak when dealing with crises and put them on the path to either a prosperous future or a repetition of disasters already suffered in the past. The same could be said of brothers and doctors, rogues and clergymen, friends and loved ones, children and judges. However, despite their anonymity, each and every one of them is affected by the social mores surrounding them. The Exile is a work of fiction, but it addresses real and above all, transcendental questions for societies and people, people whose names will never appear in books as is the case with the protagonist and others in this novel. They are anonymous, but not for this reason have they stopped making contributions, often mean and reprehensible, like those of Fernando and Alfonso, but also beautiful and positive like those of the exile's neighbor, the doctor with the goatee and Marguerite. The Exile is for all those who make their way through the world in search of peace and freedom.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Life is painful. Everyone's story comes with unique challenges, difficulties, bumps, and bruises that leave you lost and drowning in their wake. It could be a financial disaster, a health issue, a broken relationship, or the loss of a loved one. Dr. Tony Evans, bestselling author and pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, understands life's hardships firsthand. In a span of less than two years, he lost his brother, sister, brother-in-law, two nieces, father, and wife. At the same time, both of his daughters received cancer diagnoses. In the wake of all this pain, Dr. Evans had to put into practice, at the deepest levels, the truths he has preached about God for more than forty years. God's Word doesn't promise us a life free from pain and trouble. It promises us something else—Someone else. Someone who will walk with us through all of life's trials and troubles. There is hope for the hurting: His name is Jesus.

Download or read book Yvain written by Chretien de Troyes and published by Yale University Press. This book was released on 1987-09-10 with total page 242 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The twelfth-century French poet Chrétien de Troyes is a major figure in European literature. His courtly romances fathered the Arthurian tradition and influenced countless other poets in England as well as on the continent. Yet because of the difficulty of capturing his swift-moving style in translation, English-speaking audiences are largely unfamiliar with the pleasures of reading his poems. Now, for the first time, an experienced translator of medieval verse who is himself a poet provides a translation of Chrétien’s major poem, Yvain, in verse that fully and satisfyingly captures the movement, the sense, and the spirit of the Old French original. Yvain is a courtly romance with a moral tenor; it is ironic and sometimes bawdy; the poetry is crisp and vivid. In addition, the psychological and the socio-historical perceptions of the poem are of profound literary and historical importance, for it evokes the emotions and the values of a flourishing, vibrant medieval past.
