Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Forgiveness is a choice. This workbook companion to Ripened on the Vine, is a tool to be used among the broken hearted, to emerge hope in the hopeless, and to bring restoration to the souls of the neglected. My aspiration for you is by the time you finish the study, you will have grown in ways you never knew you needed to grow, that you would be planted firmly in the Word of God without excuses, but with boundaries used as a hedge of protection. I pray for a complete and divine healing in your life. To freely forgive as you are freely forgiven. The insight can help inspire you to become who you were born to be instead of who youve become. Although sometimes intrusive, know that each aspect is a vital part of moving forward in your restoration and shifting from being a victim to becoming victorious in Christ.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Hello, my name is Michele. I dedicate my story to anyone who has ever had a reason to give up on life and God. My hearts desire is for people to be encouraged, not by my life, but by what God has done through my life. This book is not about me. It is about the one who created me, and saved me from death so many times. I once heard a preacher, Myles Munroe, say, God salvages (saves} people and puts them back together so he can use them for what he originally planned on using them for. What I was born to do caused God to save me. God has a plan for all of us, and he will save you, too. God has revealed to me that my childhood and my life have been faith builders that he has used to strengthen my faith in Him. Lord God, please guide my hands and heart as I begin to tell my life story to all who need a little faith. Thank you Lord, for never leaving me alone, for being faithful in salvaging me to Glorify You. "The last two years of their marriage, my dad began to drink a lot. I was in bed sleeping when I was awakened by a loud noise, I wasn't sure what it was. I saw my dads face. He got me out of bed. My brother wasn't there that evening. He was at my uncles house where my dad was staying because my parents were separated. He took me into the living room where I saw the front door lying in the middle of the room. He had kicked it completely down. He sat me in the corner, while I watched him abuse my mother. I was only 4 years old, and that was the earliest memory of my dad. It was the only one that I would have for a long time. I cannot possibly tell you the impression, the visions, the distorted idea of love that was imbedded in my mind that night. I was so young and all I could think was that my dad was trying to kill my mom."

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Choices Are For The Living is a spiritual journey every believer should take. It begins with one simple yet profound question...Do we fear the Lord? In other words, do we have a reverential awe of the Most High God? As Christians, a positive response comes easily, but our true answer is always reflected in our choices. This is not a legalistic or works-based theology. Instead, its an authentic, heartfelt, crazy in love faith response to Christ Himself. Led by the Spirit, Michele challenges us to ask some hard questions. Are we willing to uncompromisingly obey the Word of God at all costs? Will we follow the Holy Spirit no matter where He leads? Do our words say Yes while our choices scream No? This message is a wake-up call for the church. Its time we choose commitment over complacency, action over apathy and passion over passivity. Allow the Spirit to use this anointed, inspired book to spark in you a reverent fear of Almighty God. Refuse to live a single day as a lukewarm Christian. Be willing to make choices with eternal significance...and be ready to turn your world upside down for Jesus! Lori Jonas Womens Minister Church of the Harvest, Olathe KS

Book excerpt: Paul spoke of laboring among the Galatians that "Christ might be formed in them." Later, he speaks of the development of Christian character in their lives, what he calls the "fruit of the Spirit." The question is, how is Christ like character cultivated in our lives? The contention of this book is that such fruit is produced naturally and organically through abiding in Jesus Christ. The starting point is not Galatians 5, but John 15. There Jesus informs us that it is as we abide in Him that we bear fruit m

Excerpt: ...and then cleared away all the old soil and raised the roots close up to the front wall. We thus had the whole of the roots disengaged from the soil, as there was then no border inside the house. I had them laid as fast as possible into the new soil, and well watered. Their foliage all flagged and hung down; but I kept the house close, moist, and warm, and excluded all the direct rays of the sun effectually. The berries in the bunches were the size of peas, and for a few days they were quite wrinkled in their skins. At the end of a week the leaves began to turn up a little. I then took off the tarpaulin and put on a lighter shading of tiffany, and in the course of another week I removed this also and put on hexagon netting. In a month from the date of the operation they were perfectly recovered and growing fast. They ripened 30 lb. of good grapes the same year, and in 1856 bore a splendid crop of fruit, and continued to do so for three subsequent years. The vines were, however, old, and had been pruned on the long-spur system, which rendered them unsightly. All our other vineries were planted with young vines in 1856, and in 1860 were in full bearing. Under these circumstances I was induced to make arrangements for doing away with the old vines in question, but, before doing so, determined to have one more crop off them as early as possible in 1861, and replant the house the same year. To hasten this I removed a pine-pit no loDger required in the house, the removal of the front wall of which gave access to the roots of the vines in the outside border through the arches of the front wall of the house. I then filled the interior of the house, previously occupied by the pit, with hot fermenting dung and leaves. This material was placed in...

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Science of Grapevines: Anatomy and Physiology is an introduction to the physical structure of the grapevine, its various organs, their functions and their interactions with the environment. Beginning with a brief overview of the botanical classification (including an introduction to the concepts of species, cultivars, clones, and rootstocks), plant morphology and anatomy, and growth cycles of grapevines, The Science of Grapevines covers the basic concepts in growth and development, water relations, photosynthesis and respiration, mineral uptake and utilization, and carbon partitioning. These concepts are put to use to understand plant-environment interactions including canopy dynamics, yield formation, and fruit composition, and concludes with an introduction to stress physiology, including water stress (drought and flooding), nutrient deficiency and excess, extreme temperatures (heat and cold), and the impact and response to of other organisms. Based on the author’s years of teaching grapevine anatomy as well as his research experience with grapevines and practical experience growing grapes, this book provides an important guide to understanding the entire plant. Chapter 7 broken into two chapters, now "Environmental Constraints and Stress Physiology and Chapter 8 "Living with Other Organisms" to better reflect specific concepts Integration of new research results including: Latest research on implementing drip irrigation to maximize sugar accumulation within grapes Effect of drought stress on grapevine’s hydraulic system and options for optimum plant maintenance in drought conditions The recently discovered plant hormone – strigolactones – and their contribution of apical dominance that has suddenly outdated dogma on apical dominance control Chapter summaries added Key literature references missed in the first edition as well as references to research completed since the 1e publication will be added
